Chapter 4464: Crystals
Tobao extended his hand toward the fox on Rean’s arm.
*Rawl!*
The little fox immediately bit his hand. She didn’t have much strength, and at Tobao’s level, he could have blocked the bite with ease or simply wrapped his hand in Godly Energy so it wouldn’t even scratch his skin. He did neither. A few drops of blood trickled from the wound while the fox continued glaring fiercely at him, refusing to let go as a low growl escaped her mouth.
*Growlllll!*
Everyone simply watched.
Even Rean didn’t interfere. He liked the little fox, but he also understood her reaction. Tobao had restrained and hurt her earlier while trying to determine whether she truly was the mysterious existence detected by the Sacred Relic. From her point of view, biting him back was perfectly justified.
Tobao himself didn’t seem bothered in the slightest. Being a monk, he already felt guilty about what he had done. "I’m sorry."
The fox kept staring into his eyes for another moment. The growling gradually subsided, and after a brief pause, she finally opened her mouth and let go of his hand. With a small leap, she returned to Rean’s shoulder, though her vigilant gaze never left Tobao.
Tobao looked at the tiny bite marks on his hand before smiling faintly. "She’s quite intelligent."
He sounded genuinely surprised. He had expected little more than the instincts of a wild beast, yet she appeared capable of understanding intent—or at least recognizing a sincere apology.
Rean smiled as he raised one hand.
’Life Style, Instant Recovery!’
A warm light wrapped around Tobao’s injured hand. The bite marks disappeared almost instantly, and even the small traces of blood vanished as though they had never existed.
"She really does seem smarter than ordinary animals," Rean commented while gently scratching beneath the fox’s chin. The little fellow narrowed her eyes comfortably for a moment before turning her head away, pretending she wasn’t enjoying the attention.
Roan watched the scene for another second before looking around the room. "Are we done here? It doesn’t seem like anything else is going to happen."
"Of course not!" Tobao immediately replied, returning to his usual serious expression. "We’ve only finished dealing with the fox." His eyes swept across everyone present before stopping on Clasou. "All of you, come with me. There are still several things I want to ask. Clasou, you come too."
Clasou nodded without objection.
The group soon left the Arrays Guild and headed toward the Godly Subjugation Guild of Noso Country. Since Clasou himself was with them, the guild members respectfully stepped aside without asking any questions. They eventually entered one of the guild’s private meeting rooms, where a long table occupied the center. Everyone took a seat, and only after the doors were closed did Tobao finally address the twins’ group again.
"So... what exactly happened during this trip?"
The atmosphere immediately became much more serious.
Rean, Roan, Celis, Kentucky, and Lukay exchanged glances before beginning their explanation. Naturally, some things remained secret. They never mentioned the airplane’s Godly Pressure Disguise Array, the Anti-Godly Pressure Pills, their Sanctuary, or Sister Orb. Well, Lukay didn’t know about Sister Orb anyway. Those advantages simply couldn’t become public knowledge.
Everything else, however, they explained in considerable detail.
As expected, Lukay never betrayed their secrets. Whenever the discussion reached the subject of how they survived outside the Sacred Relic’s influence for over six months, he simply corroborated Rean’s explanation that the airplane’s incredible speed, together with its Light Bending Arrays, had allowed them to continuously avoid the Godly Creatures gathering around them.
Even after hearing all that, Clasou still found it difficult to believe.
"Were you really able to travel that far?" he asked, unable to hide the skepticism in his voice. "As the Godly Subjugation Guild Master, I know better than anyone how dangerous those territories are. Even our most experienced Elite Exploration Teams rarely remain outside the Sacred Relic’s protection for more than a few weeks. Six months... that should have been impossible."
Rean didn’t argue. Instead, he connected his RC to the airplane’s database, and a large projection immediately appeared above the table.
"You don’t have to take our word for it," he said calmly. "Take a look yourself."
The projection quickly filled with maps, exploration logs, terrain scans, timestamps, battle records, flight routes, and countless observations gathered throughout the expedition. Clasou and Tobao looked at each other before accessing the files, and the room gradually fell silent as they carefully reviewed the information.
Several minutes passed.
Neither of them spoke.
The sheer amount of data was staggering. Every explored region had been meticulously recorded. Every flight path, every battle, every unusual geographical feature, every ruin, and every Godly Creature encountered had been cataloged in astonishing detail. Even Lukay found himself impressed once again despite having experienced the journey firsthand. Rean truly treated exploration like a proper scientific expedition.
Eventually, Clasou lowered the projection and slowly exhaled.
"...It is all real."
Normally, Elite Exploration Teams ventured only a few hundred kilometers beyond the known charted areas, increasing the charted areas little by little. Particularly daring expeditions might push that distance to a few thousand kilometers before turning back.
The twins’ group, however, had traveled tens of thousands of kilometers into the uncharted territory. Their reports alone more than doubled the explored map extending northwest from the Besgol Region.
"It is all true," Lukay confirmed. "I accompanied them from beginning to end. I can personally verify every bit of that information."
Tobao leaned back in his chair, his expression becoming increasingly complicated.
"Even knowing your airplane possesses the Light Bending Arrays and those improved Celestial Thrusters..." he began slowly, "...I still find it difficult to believe you weren’t constantly intercepted by Godly Creatures."
"Of course we were," Kentucky interrupted immediately. "The difference is that we dealt with them before they could surround us. There aren’t many Godly Creatures capable of matching the airplane’s speed to begin with. It flies at roughly the speed of a Zone God, remember?"
Clasou rubbed his chin thoughtfully.
"That would mean the ones capable of catching you were either Godly Predators or exceptionally fast flying Godly Beasts. Whenever we send Elite Exploration Teams that deep into enemy territory, we always assign at least one Zone God specifically to hold back any Godly Predator long enough for the others to escape."
He frowned.
"Even then, the longer cultivators remain outside the Sacred Relic’s influence, the stronger their presence becomes. Eventually, Godly Creatures from farther and farther away begin converging on their location. After six months... your accumulated presence should have become overwhelming."
His eyes remained fixed on the twins. "I simply don’t understand how you survived."
Roan answered as calmly as ever. "That’s because we killed them instead."
Clasou stared at him for a second before asking again, "You... killed them?"
Roan merely glanced toward Celis.
*Zush!*
With a casual wave of his hand, Celis dumped a huge pile of Godly Predator Crystals and Godly Pearls onto the table. The mountain of crystals instantly filled the room with dense Godly Energy, leaving both Tobao and Clasou speechless.
