Hao Xuan described Jax's appearance to a T, even making up a few random things about his personality from what he had seen during their brief interaction. Sokol's eyes widened from shock and for a few seconds he completely froze.
It was only when the two other kids behind him called out his name that he woke up.
"HOW?! How do you know appa?" he asked anxiously.
From Sokol's reaction Hao Xuan pretty much guessed, and rightly so, that it was the same Jax that he had come across recently. But the question was why and how? He was getting a strange feeling that somehow, this lady was quite important.
He wanted to ask more about this 'lady' that had just given away a word of power to a small child that couldn't even use it properly to find his father instead of just helping him, but the timing was not right.
The vibrations from the stampede of thousands of undead could be felt by everyone now and Hao Xuan could even see them just a hundred meters or so away. He had purposefully lowered the amount of Qi that was being 'radiated' from his body so as to buy more time for himself and the children but with the horde being this close, they could find him regardless.
The children also turned around and saw the 'wall' of flesh coming towards them but all they could do was cry.
Sokol peered towards the horde and then back at Hao Xuan with watery eyes and quivering lips. He didn't say anything, he didn't need to.
Hao Xuan smiled, "Don't look at me like that. I'll lead them away from here so you guys should run in that direction," he pointed them towards the same location as Han Rong and Zou Huan were headed to.
"Oh, and take this," he shuffled through Baracus's internal storage and took out a short blade, handing it to Sokol who gripped it feebly.
The boy was almost at the end of his rope. He was barely standing up right but since he was a normal person, there was nothing Hao Xuan could give him to heal. All of his elixirs were for cultivators for the Spirit Realm, not to mention he was almost out of everything.
Hao Xuan bent down and gently patted Sokol on the head, inserting a small wisp of Han Rong's Qi into his body. It was highly likely that not all of them would be able to make it to the camp.
"You have to be strong since you're the oldest alright? When you get there, ask for Han Rong, tell him Hao Xuan sent you. He will take care of you, understand?"
Sokol stared into Hao Xuan's eyes for a short moment before nodding. The Qi did nothing more than providing him some warmth for the next few minutes but that warm sensation was enough to at least bolster his spirits somewhat.
Wiping the tears that had just started rolling down his face, Sokol tightened the grip around the blade and tapped his chest.
"I can do it!" he said confidently.
Hao Xuan nodded. He extended his hand to give the other two kids some Qi as well but they swiftly pulled away, still not comfortable enough to let him near.
"Haha, alright then, have a safe journey!" Hao Xuan laughed, winking towards them playfully.
He ran a few steps before jumping towards the horde with a loud whooshing sound. The take-off wasn't much to see but the landing was loud enough to get the attention of every single undead that wasn't already after him.
Hao Xuan landed a little more than 20 meters away from the horde, readying himself for another jump but paused upon noticing something strange. The undead had completely stopped in their tracks.
There was enough light for him to be able to see their faces which were still twisted from the hunger and their mouths that were still drooling like there was no tomorrow, but they didn't move a single step. No matter how much they wanted to eat him, right now something else was stopping them.
It was at this point that Hao Xuan noticed a silhouette slowly standing up from behind them. All the undead were standing around it. It was around four meters tall, standing on all fours. It raised its ugly head.
Hao Xuan's pupils narrowed to the size of pinholes when he saw its true appearance. It was the same demon that was fighting Zou Huan earlier but right now it looked completely different.
It was more than five times its old size, barely even resembling its old human self.
Hao Xuan started circulating the Qi once again used another technique he hadn't utilized in a long time.
He lowered his upper body and moved forward holding both his arms in front of him. Sparks of black lightning ignited at his feet as more and more Qi was redirected to his legs. A force started building up until Hao Xuan felt like his legs were about to explode at which point he muttered two words.
"Heavenly Blare!"
*BOOOOM*
