Infinite Mana In The Apocalypse

Chapter 3978: I Am A Humble Merchant! IV

Chapter 3978: I Am A Humble Merchant! IV

Noah was in such a good mood that he took another bowl and scooped into the wok once more, his movements carrying the casual generosity of someone who possessed resources- someone rich!

He looked toward Alexander with a smile.

"Brother," he said, "you seem like you will have very difficult people around you to deal with in the near future. So take this to ease some of your stress."

He gave a sidelong glance toward Royal Law Tristesse as he said this, the gesture so casually insulting that it transcended normal disrespect and became audacious!

Tristesse’s smile grew even more brilliant at the implied insult. She laughed.

"Haha, you arrogant fuck," she said, her voice maintaining that same dangerous sweetness. "Man, what is going on these days?"

She shook her head while breathing in and out with the careful rhythm of someone trying to control themselves. Every exhale carried with it the promise of destruction held back by will alone!

Alexander moved forward to accept the bowl that Noah offered. When he arrived before the improvised throne, Noah gave him a simple nod.

"Actually," Noah said, "do you want one of the entire woks?"

His words sent many in the crowd reeling, their consciousness struggling to process the magnitude of what was being offered.

An entire wok!

Alexander looked at him with the careful assessment of someone trying to understand motivations. After a moment of contemplation, he silently nodded, his acceptance carrying the weight of trust.

"All right, you can take one," Noah said.

He offered an entire wok radiating profound waves of power, its contents blazing with authority that made reality itself want to bow in acknowledgment!

A brilliant Enneagram shone on Alexander’s chest as he accepted the gift, the geometric pattern pulsing with power as both the bowl and the massive wok disappeared into the spatial storage that his power had carved into his very existence.

Noah then floated forward one of the two remaining woks, scooping another generous portion into a fresh bowl before turning his attention toward Seraphina Valorheart.

The young Law stood transfixed, her consciousness still struggling to process what she was witnessing.

"Remember," Noah said, offering her the bowl with a smile, "I am still cheering for you. So do your hardest to win over someone like this."

He nudged his head toward Alexander as he said this.

Seraphina walked forward in a stupor, her consciousness overwhelmed by the magnitude of the gift she was receiving. The bowl felt warm in her hands, pulsing with power that spoke to advancement beyond her wildest dreams!

This entire sequence of actions sent waves of astonishment and rage through those observing the exchange.

So far, Noah had traded a single bowl of his wondrous treasure for a radiant herb from the Doorways of the Loom...a transaction that, while generous on his part, at least resembled normal commerce.

But after that? He had given away an entire massive wok freely, followed by another bowl while making comments that bordered on the nonsensical.

The casual dismissal of value that others would kill for, the generosity that transcended normal understanding of trade...it painted a picture of someone who operated according to principles that defied norms!

After he finished this display of impossible generosity, Noah reclined back on his throne with the satisfied air of someone who had accomplished exactly what he had intended.

"All right," he said nonchalantly, his voice carrying the same laid-back confidence that had marked his entire presentation, "I will continue taking other trades and exchanges for any who have the treasures that I mentioned, or something of equivalent value."

The casual dismissal of what had just occurred, the return to normal business practices after all that...it left the crowd struggling to process what they had witnessed!

In front of him, Kaedric Voss was pulling away the pulsing figure of Royal Law Tristesse, who was smiling and laughing with the kind of dangerous intensity that suggested she was working very hard to control impulses that wanted nothing more than to reshape this entire district according to her displeasure.

Other Living Existences and Fold Dwellers in the surroundings looked ahead in astonishment at this unique phenomenon and being, their consciousness filled with questions about exactly how things would continue to unfold here!

At such a time, as Noah laid back and waited for more customers, he felt a subtle mental touch...Alexander’s consciousness reaching out.

’Be careful,’ came the simple message.

Noah nodded calmly.

The warning was appreciated, but not necessary...he knew exactly what forces he was playing with, and he had prepared accordingly.

Alexander didn’t say any additional words. He instinctively understood that Noah knew what he was doing as...

Instead, he turned to Seraphina and Kaedric Voss, who was still working to pull Tristesse away from the scene before her barely controlled impulses could manifest into something heavy!

"Let’s go," he said authoritatively as he...the weakest in the group, commanded everyone to move!

Noah watched the party disappear into the crowds of Aeternitas Concordia with a smile that carried layers of amusement and satisfaction.

Yet his attention wasn’t solely focused on their departure...he had also noticed a few Prime Living Existences who had begun eyeing Alexander and his party with the calculating hunger of predators who had spotted what they considered easy prey.

Noah laughed silently at this display of Existential stupidity!

If anybody was unlucky and stupid enough to actually ambush Alexander while he was protected by an unstable Royal Law Tristesse who was already struggling to control her impulses... well, it would be their funeral!

Literally and completely, with no possibility of resurrection.

As for himself? He was simply a humble merchant, conducting business in the greatest marketplace available so far.

He tapped on his obsidian crown that lay languidly above his head, feeling the terrifying might of Yoshinami pulsing within its crystalline structure.

The Crown of Inevitable Retribution waited with patient hunger, ready to deliver True Death to anyone foolish enough to attack him with lethal intent.

If anyone did choose to assault him, he found himself hoping that it would be a powerful Honored Living Existence, or better yet, a Royal, or even a Duke! The more significant their power, the more satisfying their complete annihilation would be, and the grander the Loot!

Attack him...and see what fucking happens.

He reclined on his throne, waiting for the next customer with the patient confidence of a spider that had woven its web across the pathways of existential commerce itself!
