Infinite Mana In The Apocalypse

Chapter 4622: End of The Line I

Chapter 4622: End of The Line I

In Existence, more often than not, entities believed themselves to be infallible.

They accumulated power and authority and began thinking they would live forever, that nothing could truly threaten what they had built.

Many did not understand the fragility of their own mortality until the moment it was stripped away.

They moved through reality with confidence that bordered on arrogance, certain that their preparations were sufficient and their foundations unshakeable.

Then there were others who understood their own mortality with painful clarity.

Who recognized that things could and did always go wrong, regardless of how careful one was.

These entities prepared for all eventualities and considered all possibilities with paranoid thoroughness.

They did everything they absolutely could and remained as cautious as possible at every moment.

But sometimes, even after such exhaustive preparation, even after accounting for every variable and planning for every contingency, even after being as careful as an entity could possibly be...

Sometimes things just happened anyway.

Shit happened.

That was Existence, and Existence simply was.

No amount of preparation could fully protect against the truly unexpected.

---

Before Noah, shit had truly happened in the most catastrophic way possible.

He gazed into the eyes of this terrifying being holding his hand as nearby, Ul’moreth’s body began trembling violently.

THE Primeval Titan’s hair rose up with explosive power as shockingly, his authority seemed to be surging even within THE Fundamental Depth of Absolute Sovereignty and climbing higher.

His hidden eyes held a devastating mixture of lividity, shock, and profound feelings of betrayal all compressed into a single moment.

But before anything could be done by him, before he could act on the rage and horror flooding through his existence, Noah faced the entity before him.

And uniquely, he didn’t feel any fear.

Even though this was arguably the single most dangerous moment in his entire existence across all his life, he remained utterly calm.

His existence lost all other thoughts except singular focus on survival.

His eyes turned immensely cold and crystalline calm as he looked directly at this being and spoke with a voice carrying absolute conviction.

You are unfathomably faster and stronger than me in every measurable way. But you are not faster than my own thoughts. You are not faster than my own tongue. You are not faster than The First Tongue itself when spoken from within my existence.

His words carried building intensity.

Should you move to do anything hostile to me in the next moment, my thoughts will move instantly. The First Tongue will move. And with it, I will initiate something irreversible that will doom all of Existence to collapse. Not just you or me, but everything.

BOOM!

His words emerged without any trace of fear! He made a bold claim that he could initiate the doom of all of Existence!

His eyes shone with the brilliance of pure Quintessence, with tyranny and absolute defiance even when facing this apex entity.

This being who continued holding his hand in what was unquestionably the longest and most dangerous handshake in all of Existence.

And toward Noah’s bold declaration, this entity actually had his purple eyes shine with tremendous brilliance.

He smiled with what seemed like genuine delight as he responded.

Why would I do anything bad to you? I came here purely because I was curious. And my friend Ul’moreth, pipe down and do not ruin my curiosity with your explosive temper. I’ve already grabbed hold of his existence, and I could do...many things.

His smile widened.

Even though you do not truly know me personally, you should understand at least a glimpse of my power from reputation alone. So why don’t we all just relax and have a pleasant conversation? Haha...

Ul’moreth’s body continued showing surging Weavings of Existence and overwhelming emotion.

His entire form trembled with contained power that wanted desperately to erupt.

But at this moment, he remained frozen in place, unable to move despite his tremendous authority.

Held perfectly still by power that transcended what even he could resist.

The eyes of THE Primordial Chaos shone with unfathomable depth and concentrated power.

Within those purple depths, endless Weavings of pure Chaos churned and shifted in patterns that defied comprehension.

Before Noah’s vision, terrifying and ominous prompts materialized.

CRITICAL EXISTENTIAL CHALLENGE

Your Way of Existence and all aspects of your being have come across an unstoppable force of Existence itself

Your Way is being fundamentally tested at its deepest level

At this moment, the entirety of your existence and your Way is being challenged by The Oldest Paradox of Existence itself

|

Question Posed:

Before THE Primordial Chaos, what are you?

This question demands answer not through words but through the fundamental structure of your existence

Failure to maintain coherent answer will result in existential dissolution

WAA!

What was he?

Before THE Primordial Chaos, what was Existence itself, and what was The First Tongue?

Which came first, and how could either exist without the other?

The sensation Noah felt in this moment was utterly indescribable.

He felt every single atom and cell of his existence working in absolute overdrive.

As if every single component part of what made him real was being questioned again and again in rapid succession.

Before THE Primordial Chaos, what was he?!

What defined his existence when confronted with the living embodiment of paradox?

The questions boomed through his mind with crushing weight as the entity in front of him continued smiling pleasantly during all of this existential pressure.

THE Primordial Chaos spoke with voice carrying both amusement and genuine fascination.

What an enigma you are, truly. You do not belong here in Ginnungagap and yet you absolutely do. You should not be here by any logical progression and yet you undeniably are. You are weak by classification and yet you are also profoundly strong in application. You have so many paradoxes surrounding your entire existence that I would have genuinely thought you were THE Living Paradox in a different form if I didn’t know better.

He paused before continuing with building interest.

But no matter. I am not here for anything too crazy or destructive. I am here simply to ask a few specific people to make choices. I asked Ains to make a choice a little bit earlier at the edge of this settlement, and he made it decisively. What a selfless individual he was, choosing sacrifice over safety.

His purple eyes gleamed.

I will now ask you what choice you will make when presented with options. Nothing wild and nothing unreasonable. You spoke of me potentially doing something hostile or even expecting destruction from my presence, but I find such direct violence tedious and profoundly boring most of the time.

His smile took on deeper significance.

I find Existence to be vastly more interesting when everything is based on choices made freely. On the glorious Primordial Chaos that blooms naturally as a result of endless choices intersecting and creating unpredictable outcomes. Force is simple. Choice is beautiful.

The words hung in the air with tremendous weight.

What choice would THE Primordial Chaos demand from him?
