Chapter 4628: Collapse III
The Genesis Principle of Undifferentiated Mana operated on a profound but elegantly simple concept.
It declared that at the most fundamental level, before differentiation into distinct forms and identities, all Mana was identical and interchangeable.
Before Mana became fire or water, light or darkness, creation or destruction, it existed in undifferentiated potential.
And beings themselves, at their deepest core, were expressions of that same undifferentiated potential.
Ul’moreth had leveraged this truth to perform an exchange that should have been impossible.
Even with the overwhelming power of THE Primordial Chaos, even with his hand physically clasped around what he thought was Noah, the exchange succeeded.
Because Ul’moreth had burned his Way of Primordial Continuity to temporarily exceed his normal scope of power.
And because Noah represented The First Tongue itself in living form. Represented Mana itself in its purest expression.
Undifferentiated potential made manifest.
So when Ul’moreth invoked THE Genesis Principle of Undifferentiated Mana, declaring that he and Noah were fundamentally identical at the level of pure potential, reality accepted that declaration.
And enacted the exchange regardless of THE Primordial Chaos’s grip.
It was simultaneously the most complex and most simple maneuver imaginable.
Complex in the metaphysical understanding required to execute it.
Simple in the fundamental truth it exploited.
At the exact moment of the exchange, Noah felt an influx of tremendous authority and compressed information flow directly into his existence.
A prompt materialized before his vision.
Emergency Transmission Received
THE Primeval Titan has imparted THE Farewell of Ginnungagap unto your existence
This represents the collective accumulated knowledge, treasures, and final gifts of a Primeval Titan
Content: Sealed until safe activation conditions are met
Warning: Opening prematurely may draw unwanted attention
Noah felt a radiant obsidian-gold box of concentrated Weavings being pushed deep into his existence for safekeeping.
In the next moment, he heard Ul’moreth’s voice resonating directly in his mind with desperate urgency.
Please do not let the burning of your teacher be for nothing. Go, and go now. Do not look back. Do not hesitate. Just GO!
The glorious and terrible scene unfolded in that stretched moment.
THE Primordial Chaos stared directly into the hairy obscured eyes of THE Primeval Titan.
And he actually smiled brilliantly before beginning to laugh with genuine amusement.
As if this entire development was the most entertaining thing he had witnessed in eons.
In this moment where Existence itself seemed to move with painful slowness, Noah felt his entire being buzzing with overwhelming emotion.
His eyes locked onto Ul’moreth, taking in every detail of the being who had taught him so much.
Then his gaze shifted to the figures of THE First Hunger and THE Living Origin rushing desperately forward.
And further behind them, he could see the slowly walking crippled figure of Ains, The fisherman who had sacrificed everything.
He saw all of them clearly.
He gave each one a single final look, burning their images into his memory.
Then he closed his eyes and uttered the words with absolute conviction.
Temporal Traversal.
He ended his time in this era, concluding his temporal traversal.
His existence burned with profound defiance at the way it was ending.
It burned with rage that another entity had to step in on his behalf and consume their very Way of Existence to give him a chance to escape.
But since it was done, since the sacrifice had been made, he would not allow it to be for nothing.
He did not tarry. He did not hesitate or second-guess.
His Early Atlas of the Folds activated at once as his figure began being funneled backward across the rivers of time.
The reality of The Primordial Genesis Shore began to fade.
THE Primordial Chaos, Ul’moreth, and all the others started becoming distant and indistinct.
And then-
Haha, I have finally caught you! And you are even using time itself at this very moment. Just where are you returning to, friend? Do you know how much your reckless actions across time can affect Existence? Do you understand the Loops of Time?!
BOOM!
Just as he was leaving. Just as temporal traversal was nearly complete and about to return him to his current era!
Everything became frozen in time itself.
The figures of THE Primeval Titan and THE Primordial Chaos and all others that had been fading away became actualized and very real again.
Noah turned around in shock as the endless rivers of time that had been flowing smoothly around him became violently unstable.
Behind him, he could now see a new entity.
Surrounded by brilliant purple waves of temporal authority.
Time itself seemed to bend and flow around this being’s form.
The figure appeared humanoid but with features that seemed to shift and age and regress simultaneously.
Their skin held a quality that made it impossible to determine if they were ancient or newborn.
Their eyes contained infinite depth, as if one could peer through them and see every moment that had ever existed layered upon itself.
Purple light emanated from them in cascading waves that made reality itself tremble.
They wore robes that seemed woven from compressed moments, each thread a frozen instant of time.
Noah did not have to think long before realizing with defiance that this was THE Living Temporal.
On the cusp of him leaving and returning to his current era, after THE Primeval Titan Ul’moreth had burned his very Way of Primordial Continuity to give him this chance, another entity at the same level as THE Primordial Chaos had actually arrived to stop everything!
And one could definitively say THE Living Temporal operated at the same unfathomable tier as THE Primordial Chaos.
The allure of undeniable power emanating from them far exceeded any other entity present.
It bordered on the exact same wavelength of authority as THE Primordial Chaos himself.
The situation had turned from hopeful to unfathomably worse in an instant.
This profound chaotic progression caused the distant figures of THE First Hunger and THE Living Origin to pale even further.
At this moment, THE Living Origin roared with desperate fury.
"Temporal, what are you doing?! Why are you interfering now?!"
Her eyes carried profound lividity as her own body began erupting with a type of power she had never unveiled before.
Authority that had remained hidden throughout all their previous encounters.
And yet THE Living Temporal did not even turn toward her.
His gaze remained fixed on Noah as if observing the most fascinating specimen in all of Existence.
His voice emerged carrying terrifying weight.
I have been searching for you across time for longer than you can comprehend. Someone jumping around back and forth through the eras, causing subtle changes here and there that ripple forward and backward as you didn’t truly change anything...but causality was tested. To have finally found you is a stupendous occasion beyond measure. Come.
