Chapter 4664: Surprise I
In that unique space filled with extremely pure blue-gold Primus Mana, Noah allowed Ruination to take care of many things as he focused on himself.
He felt the weight and immensity of THE Intermediate Depth of Absolute Sovereignty as the process of his Way and Civilization advancing was a gradual one that continued to unfold with each passing moment.
He was getting new changes and being exposed to new prompts every now and then as different aspects of himself surprised him and made unique advancements that he hadn’t anticipated.
In his entrance to THE Level One Scale of Existence and even a bit before it, he had gotten a great deal of titles and distinctions like THE Genesis Monarch of Infinite Lexicons, THE Potentate, and THE Anomaly. Even he himself had declared how he was Mana, THE Mana, THE Infinite Mana, and THE First Tongue!
But even though he had declared all those grand distinctions, the last one felt like an empty title, something that he shouted out but didn’t truly receive or embody.
Because if he truly was THE First Tongue, boy oh boy would he feel different now.
How crazy was it if he truly was THE First Tongue itself? Would he not then be able to control a significant portion of Observable Existence?
No, he didn’t fully and truly embody THE First Tongue as for now he had laid a claim on it and was working toward truly embodying it. The day where he fully and truly embodied THE First Tongue may be the day he could look at THE Creature, the fucking guy who could cause him existential damage just from prolonged staring and exposure when he was in Ginnungagap.
The next time he met this entity, he wanted to be able to look and do whatever he wanted while having the power to at least stand opposite him.
As much as the possibility was there that this entity might be an enemy against him, Noah’s intuition was actually leaning on the other side because THE Creature felt too complex to simply be an enemy.
Well, THE Living Paradox and THE Primordial Chaos were complex on their own with unknown motivations and machinations, but his intuition toward THE Creature was different in ways he couldn’t fully articulate.
The decisions of THE Creature could be questioned, but when it came to all the things that Noah’s human psychology would consider bad or evil, there weren’t truly much to point to. THE Creature imprisoned all the entities in the Infinite Unfurling, but wasn’t Noah imprisoning entities right now in his Infinite Desmoterion?
He smiled at the parallel as maybe he had some sort of bias when it came to THE Creature because this being also had their own machinations, and he kept thinking about what he would have been forced to resort to or what could have happened if THE Creature had not intervened in Ginnungagap.
THE Creature lent him a hand since his actions helped Existence itself, but how much more would THE Creature continue to help him when the last thing that this being did was not listen to The Dead Order’s demand to collapse him?
That was significant and meaningful in ways that suggested THE Creature was not his enemy, not yet anyways.
As he was thinking about all of this...
"Oh?"
He blinked as he received new waves of information that weren’t from prompts or a ridiculous voice welcoming him to THE Vakochev Scales of Existence, but was actually a message from Malphas. His very hardworking butler had actually made a finding and reached out to him right away.
The finding related to The Primordial Early Excavation Depths that he had gained access to in what seemed like forever ago in his Early Veiled Shore, but it was merely weeks since then as time moved strangely when every day brought apocalyptic revelations and existential advancements.
The Primordial Early Excavation Depths were dimensional mines that extended into collapsed fragments of the Earliest Folds, containing resources that no longer existed anywhere else in the current Observable Existence like Ore of Early Resonance, Crystallized Temporal Fragments, Memory Stones, Essence Gems, Paradox Minerals, and Structural Marrow.
All of it was buried in depths that stretched infinitely downward, guarded by Remnant Lifeforms from collapsed Shores who may be Living, may be Dead, or somewhere in between.
When the depths first unlocked, the volunteer Malphas lead the way to clear levels, gather resources, and explore what secrets the collapsed Earliest Folds still held.
Malphas had been diligent in this task as he cleared level after level with systematic precision, gathering resources that flowed into the Early Veiled Shore’s development while encountering Remnant Lifeforms and dispatching them with the cold efficiency that made him such an effective butler.
But he had never called out to Noah directly, not when he found rare ores, not when he discovered Memory Stones containing techniques from deceased Early Creatures, and not when environmental hazards tested the limits of his existence.
Malphas handled everything himself because that was his nature and that was his pride.
So for him to call out now meant something significant had occurred.
Noah focused on the message and learned that Malphas had arrived on the one hundredth level, the deepest level currently available and the threshold beyond which the depths would only unlock as the Shore continued evolving.
And it seemed like he had come across an immensity there, something significant enough that even Malphas with all his capability and self-sufficiency felt the need to inform his master immediately.
Noah’s eyes sparkled as he said, "Let’s go take a look..."
Well, even though he said that, another body was already arriving before the entrance of the depths!
The Primordial Early Excavation Depths currently manifested as a massive chasm in the golden sands of the Early Veiled Shore with its edges lined with crystallized authority that shimmered with colors from eras long past while the air around it hummed with the weight of collapsed history.
Noah’s body descended into the depths without hesitation as the journey downward was swift with each level flashing past him in moments. Level 10, Level 30, Level 50, Level 75.
The environment grew stranger as he descended because reality became less stable and the walls of the mine shifted between states of existence, sometimes solid, sometimes ethereal, and sometimes something in between.
Remnant Lifeforms watched from shadows but did not approach as they recognized power far beyond their own and chose survival over confrontation.
Level 90, Level 95, Level 99.
And then Level 100.
Noah emerged into a vast cavern that shouldn’t have been able to exist because its dimensions were paradoxical and its atmosphere held the weight of eons compressed into a single space.
Malphas stood at the center with his butler attire immaculate despite the journey through a hundred levels of collapsed reality, and his expression was composed but his eyes held something Noah rarely saw in his most capable servant, which was uncertainty.
"Master," Malphas said while bowing slightly, "I apologize for the interruption to your cultivation, but I believe you need to see this yourself."
He gestured toward something behind him.
And Noah’s eyes widened because embedded in the wall of the hundredth level, half-buried in crystallized fragments of the Earliest Folds, was something, well, someone, that he absolutely never expected to see!
