Infinite Mana In The Apocalypse

Chapter 4679: THE Fallout! I

Chapter 4679: THE Fallout! I

In THE Infiniverse.

One of Noah’s bodies stood beside Khor as at this moment, her figure was radiating a scintillating light of Hunger.

Obsidian crimson hunger that was now surrounded by Phonemes as she gloriously reclaimed her Way.

She floated near the Sanctuaries of Primus Inevitabilities while Noah floated beside her, and her gaze was serene. When Noah’s Civilization advanced to THE Level One Scale of Existence, Khor was actually the one who already had the way paved for her.

The addition of The First Tongue to her roster only allowed faster reclamation of her Way as she was grasping her Surface Depth at this moment. The obsidian crimson light pulsed with each Phoneme that wrapped around her existence, weaving themselves into her foundation like threads.

She smiled while saying, "Outsider, you have done many things for me that I cannot thank you enough for. As the end of Existence approaches, I will do my best to give back. I won’t be able to join your harem, but I can definitely continue to be your friend."

Noah smiled at this as he said, "A friend is more than enough."

After such words, Khor smiled serenely as Phonemes continued to surround her while her Depth slowly settled on THE Surface. She leaned closer to Noah and put her head on his shoulder.

Innocent and calm.

The First Hunger, one of the ancient entities to have ever existed in The Earliest Folds, resting her head on the shoulder of someone she called Outsider. Someone she called friend!

But not too far from here, from this calm scene, behind Khor and this body of Noah, one could see another starkly different scene.

It was the scene of The Emperor Penguin getting a beating by The Goad from a furious Noah as this Spiritual Beast hadn’t managed to inscribe even a line of the Phoneme of Fire at this time while others had at least made progress.

WAP!

"How is it that Titano has managed to form a Phoneme and you haven’t even completed one line?"

WAP!

The Emperor Penguin squawked indignantly, his flippers waving in protest as the blue-gold Goad descended upon him with educational fury. His beak opened and closed as he tried to form the rising frequency required for the Phoneme of Fire, but what came out was something closer to a confused honk than primordial language.

WAP!

"Master, my beak may not be designed for fire sounds!"

WAP!

"Your beak has nothing to do with it! The First Tongue is written with existence, not with physical anatomy!"

WAP! WAP! WAP!

The Emperor Penguin waddled in circles, trying to escape the relentless discipline, but Noah’s Goad moved faster than Planck Speed. Every time the penguin thought he had found safety, another corrective strike found him.

Nearby, Titano watched with wide eyes while successfully maintaining a glowing Phoneme above his massive form. He wisely chose to say nothing, focusing intensely on his own practice lest the Goad find a new target.

Moiraine covered her mouth to hide her smile while Barbatos openly laughed, her demonic features twisted in amusement at the penguin’s predicament.

WAP!

"Again! From the beginning!"

"SQUAWK!"

And far from all this, inside The Abode of THE Genesis Monarch of Infinite Lexicons.

Inside a domain spanning gigaparsecs wide surrounded by endless waves of blue-gold Primus Mana, Noah held Riya as she sat on his lap.

Her radiant blue hair and eyes were particularly shining at this time. She put her forehead against his, their breath mingling in the space between them.

She asked him slowly, "Why won’t you ask me what I see?"

At such words, Noah calmly replied, "I will make my own future. Regardless of what you see."

At such words, Riya pulled back and looked into his eyes as tears began to form in her radiant blue eyes. They shimmered like stars being born, each one containing glimpses of possibilities that weighed heavily upon her soul.

She said tenderly, "I see so much... work. I see Mana bearing unbearable adversity. To the point that even if Mana doesn’t dim, there comes a question... is it worth all that pain? Is it worth you bearing all that adversity on your shoulders? I sense Mana being so, so tired. I see Mana being put through so much that even the infinite seems finite in the face of such weight."

Seas of Primus Mana surged at her words, the blue-gold waves responding to her words with gentle turbulence.

Noah smiled as he cupped her face gently with one hand.

"My job is to shoulder adversity and weight for you and all others," he said with absolute certainty. "Every burden that would break someone else, I will carry. Every weight that would crush another, I will bear. I chose to take on this role not because it was easy but because I refuse to let those I care about suffer what I can suffer in their place. So I will simply continue. Continue shouldering. Continue advancing. Continue being the foundation upon which everyone else can stand safely."

His eyes burned with conviction as he continued.

"And when I am tired, I will rest for a moment and then continue again. When the adversity seems unbearable, I will bear it anyway. That is what it means to be the one who stands at the front. That is what it means to be the one others rely upon. That is my choice. My willing choice. And I will see it through to whatever end awaits."

Riya looked at him as she wiped her tears before she nodded slowly, her eyes softening.

"Okay," she said quietly. "Then for all the adversity... I will at least comfort you."

She leaned forward and embraced him, her blue hair cascading around them like a curtain of starlight. In his arms, she felt small but significant, a precious thing that he would protect.

"When you are tired," she whispered against his chest, "come to me. When the weight seems too heavy, lean on me. You don’t have to shoulder everything alone, even if you choose to shoulder most of it. Let me carry at least this much."

Noah held her tighter.

---

Far from this domain. In another portion of The Abode of THE Genesis Monarch.

A domain filled with snow and coldness and floating islands stretched endlessly in all directions.

Crystalline mountains of ice rose in the distance, their peaks piercing through clouds of frozen mist. Floating islands of compacted snow drifted lazily through the frigid air, each one a small world of white serenity. The temperature was absolute zero, cold enough to freeze the very concept of warmth, and yet it felt peaceful rather than harsh.

In such a domain, in a field of snow, another one of Noah’s bodies lay down on the pristine white surface. And Adelaide lay down beside him, their heads parallel, their bodies forming two lines in the endless white.

They peacefully and silently watched endless snow descending all around them, immense serenity permeating everything as they simply took it all in.

No words were needed.

No declarations were necessary.

They simply existed together in this moment, watching snowflakes fall like tiny fragments of eternity drifting down from an infinite sky.

Adelaide’s vibrant snowy blue hair amplified her beauty as it spread across the white ground, indistinguishable from the snow itself except for the subtle luminescence that marked her as something more than mortal. She smiled, a gentle curve of her lips that held contentment deeper than words could express.

She simply tilted her head and closed her eyes as her head and Noah’s touched in this reality of endless snow.

Sometimes, one did not need to say anything. They simply needed to be present. They simply needed to be together.

The snow fell.

The silence spoke.

And two existences shared a moment of peace before the storm.

And in the midst of all this peace and serenity...

HUUM!

Everything began to shake as Noah rose up on the snowy field, and Adelaide did the same.

The snow that had been falling gently now trembled in the air, each flake vibrating with the resonance of something vast approaching. The floating islands shuddered. The crystalline mountains cracked.

Her voice was calm as her eyes flashed with immensity, ancient power stirring within her despite the serenity of the moment.

"Is it starting?"

She asked such a question as Noah looked toward a horizon that suddenly seemed much closer than before.

"It is beginning."

After such words, Adelaide shifted to sit beside him, her back pressing against his back in this world of endless snow. They faced opposite directions, two sentinels watching for threats from all sides, but their spines touched and their warmth mingled.

The scene was beautiful and melancholic, painted in shades of white and blue and the faintest hints of gold from Noah’s authority. It felt fragile, as if it might fade away at any moment. As if this peace was borrowed time that was about to be reclaimed.

The snow continued to fall around them, but it fell slower now, as if Existence itself was holding its breath.

Adelaide closed her eyes while feeling the wide back of Noah.

It felt warm. It felt safe. It felt like the memory of her father when he protected her against all threats in those distant days of her childhood. It felt like home. It felt like a bastion that she could hold on to as no matter what happened, everything would be okay.

Even if Existence was ending.

Even if The Fallout was descending.

To feel this warmth, she would give Everything.

Everything.

Her hand reached back and found his, their fingers intertwining in the cold.

"Whatever comes," she said softly, her voice barely above a whisper, "I’m glad I’m here with you."

Noah squeezed her hand in response.

The snow continued to fall.

The shaking continued to grow.

And somewhere in the vast expanse of Observable Existence, something ancient and terrible began to stir.

The Fallout...was beginning!
