Infinite Mana In The Apocalypse

Chapter 4726: Against A Legend! III

Chapter 4726: Against A Legend! III

Each sound was a Civilization ending, a Way shattering, an existence that had accumulated power over eons being reduced to nothing more than harvest waiting to be claimed.

And then the arrow warped one final time to appear before the eyes of a scrambling Gal’Thûrak in the skies!

The demon spirit’s seven eyes went wide with horror and fear that he had not felt in eons, his chains rattling uselessly at his sides as he recognized that death had come for him in the form of a blue-gold arrow that had just murdered his colleagues without slowing down.

"PLEASE!"

His roar was desperate and pathetic, the sound of someone who had spent his existence subjugating others suddenly finding himself on the other end of absolute power, and the terror in his voice was so raw and so genuine that it might have moved a lesser being to mercy.

Noah was not a lesser being.

But in the next moment, as the arrow surged toward Gal’Thûrak with the inevitability of a death sentence already signed, a massive white-gray claw appeared in its path!

THE Living Spirit moved with speed that defied even the slowed perception of this moment, one of his countless limbs extending across the distance between himself and his subordinate as he refused to lose another...well, actually, the last follower to this impossible enemy!

The claw was massive and terrible, composed of compressed spirits that screamed silently as they were forced into service, and it caught the arrow with a grip that released gray bursts of Immensity in all directions.

"SPIRITS CANNOT BE SEVERED BY MORTAL WEAPONS!"

BOOM!

The Declaration crashed against Noah’s Thesis with the weight of someone who had been ancient when THE Fallout was merely a possibility rather than a reality, and the arrow holding the terrifying Thesis buzzed in THE Living Spirit’s deformed and radiant claw as two authorities contested for dominance.

The arrow stopped.

THE Living Spirit looked toward Noah with eyes that blazed with fury beyond anything he had shown before, with rage that spoke of losses that could not be calculated and insults that could not be forgiven.

And then he looked past Noah, toward the surroundings of the citadel where his forces had been stationed.

All of them had slumped down like dolls whose strings had been cut.

The Cetus. The tentacled horror. The eight Intermediate Depth spirits. The thirty-six Surface Depth entities. All of them lay still and silent, their Ways shattered and their Civilizations collapsed, nothing remaining but corpses that had once been legends in their own right.

An instant later, those corpses began to move.

They flew out toward Noah as if drawn by invisible strings, rising from where they had fallen and streaming through the burning air of Muspelheim toward the entity who had killed them, and one by one, they sank into his back with sounds like stones dropping into still water.

As each one was drawn into him, Noah’s immensity and weight erupted higher and higher!

The first corpse, a Surface Depth spirit, added its essence to his foundation.

The second and third and fourth followed, each one making him burn brighter.

THE Intermediate Depth spirits came next, their accumulated authority flooding into his existence with force that made the air around him shimmer and distort.

And finally, the Cetus, the former Fundamental Depth entity whose Way of Spirit Water had been shattered by a single arrow, sank into his back and elevated his foundation in ways that made everything before seem like appetizers before a feast!

Blue-gold flames surrounded Noah in a corona of power that seemed to grow with every corpse he absorbed, making him look glorious and tyrannical in ways that defied easy description. He had just collapsed dozens of Civilizations in a single blow. He had collapsed a Fundamental Depth entity in a single blow! Even if he was utilizing a Fragment of THE Axiom of Mayhem to reduce their Depths, even if he had built his attack on an already established Thesis, the achievement was staggering!

What a terrifying wonder he had become!

He carried out such a ruthless action with the casual ease of someone who had long since stopped feeling guilt for doing what needed to be done, and in the heavy silence that followed, prompts bloomed before him with comprehensive detail!

...!

BOOM!

Noah floated in the burning skies of Muspelheim as an imposing humanoid figure whose weight and immensity bellowed around him like a declaration of war against everything that dared to oppose him, and he stared up toward THE Living Spirit with eyes that blazed through the flames surrounding his form.

Those flames.

Those billowing blue-gold flames of Primus Mana that surrounded him made him seem like a flaming entity whose face could barely be observed through the conflagration, a being of fire and fury and absolute authority whose features were glimpsed only in fragments between the dancing tongues of power that wreathed his entire existence.

The weight burning from him was so immense that reality itself seemed to bend around his presence, the air distorting and the flames of Muspelheim leaning toward him as if paying homage to something that burned hotter and brighter than their eternal fires could ever hope to match.

And when he breathed, one could see furious blue-gold flames rushing from his nose and mouth with every exhale, fire that spoke of power so concentrated that it could not be contained within a mere physical form!

He looked like a wild celestial humanoid beast, something that had crawled out of the primordial fires that existed before existence learned to cool, and the flames billowing from his nose and mouth emanated so much heat that it truly felt like these flames alone could utterly scorch to cinders any THE Surface Depth Civilizations just by being near!

The very act of his breathing had become a threat!

The very fact of his existence had become a Declaration!
