Chapter 4799: THE Youngest Moves First IV
THE Living Quantum and THE Living Dimensional exchanged glances.
THE Living Temporal remained grand and unbothered as if he truly held all the time in Existence.
The sign of an Absolute’s collapse continued to radiate across the skies of Jotunheim.
And in the Temple of Temporal Observation, three Absolutes contemplated what this development meant for the future that was already beginning to shift!
---
In THE Corrupted Vault of Ginnungagap.
Noah stared into the calm eyes of THE Secretive Eon.
She had been looking at him without a word ever since the pillar of obsidian-gold light signifying the collapse of an Absolute permeated across this space.
Ever since it became clear that he had collapsed THE Weavers!
The eyes of this terrifying entity seemed to be trying to grasp something. Or look at something within him. But they couldn’t quite get to it.
His Formless Depth made him difficult to read.
His foundations that exceeded THE Creature in some aspects made him difficult to assess.
And whatever she was searching for remained hidden behind layers of authority that even an Absolute could not easily penetrate.
Eventually... she spoke.
"Do you remember when the last time was that an Absolute died before today?"
Her voice came calm and measured, as if asking about the weather rather than the death of beings who shaped reality itself.
Noah shook his head grandly.
"I actually haven’t been around all that long to know such things."
His voice held honesty!
"I was a tiny wee little human with no power or say while THE Living Paradox had already had THE Loom established for eons. While all THEs and THE Creature was suppressed..."
He paused.
"I am actually too young to even remember such things."
...!
He truly was too young!
A bit over 3 years back, he awakened to become a Hunter.
At that time, things had already been unfolding across scales he couldn’t comprehend.
His mind simply had no idea.
He knew nothing of THE Creature and his Belly of Existence while he was hunting Apes in The Ape’s Paradise Dungeon. He had been focused on survival, on getting stronger.
He knew nothing about Wheels of Existence and Folds and Early Veiled Shores. He had been worried about rent payments and why his Focus, why his Mana, was blank.
Time... was such a unique thing.
On this major milestone of collapsing an Absolute, he found himself... reflective.
Where had he been three years ago?
Where was he now?
Standing in the aftermath of killing an Absolute, speaking with another Absolute as if they were equals.
The journey between those two points felt both impossibly long and impossibly short.
And yet in front of him...
THE Secretive Eon laughed!
The sound was musical and unsettling, holding depths that made the air around them vibrate with hidden meaning.
"You were too young?"
Her smile grew wider.
"You were active more than billions of years ago in The Earliest Folds. And I saw you in Ginnungagap even further before that."
Her eyes sparkled with ancient knowledge.
"Age is a unique thing. Some can claim to be young..."
She leaned closer.
"But not you. You cannot claim to be young."
BOOM!
...!
The words landed with weight!
"But, if you haven’t seen it, then you haven’t seen it."
THE Secretive Eon waved her hand dismissively.
"The collapse of an Absolute... everything mourns it. Existence mourns it."
Her voice grew more serious.
"Because Absolutes are critical. Observable Existence loves Absolutes."
Noah raised his brows at such words.
He looked at Eon with eyes that held challenge.
"Are you truly going to be lecturing me on the importance of Absolutes and not killing Absolutes when you are planning to kill Absolutes with me?"
His voice came direct and unafraid.
"You wish to collapse THE Four. Arguably the most critical of the Absolutes."
He tilted his head.
"Where exactly would your argument be going here?"
...!
His eyes were radiant as he said this!
And the figure of THE Secretive Eon looked at him.
She put her hand on her chin.
And smiled even brighter.
"Your words to me seem to be getting bolder and bolder as you do more and more things."
Her eyes danced with something that might have been approval.
"Is there a confidence growing, O Scale Breaker?"
She laughed again.
"But anyhow... what you do and what I do is different."
Her voice grew more instructive.
"When you collapse an Absolute, you take away what they contribute to overall Existence. THE Weavers contributed to the fate-weaving aspects of Paradox. Now that contribution is gone. Observable Existence is slightly diminished."
She paused.
"When I collapse an Absolute, I replace."
Her smile held pride that transcended normal ego.
"Nothing is lost."
She began pacing slowly, her form drifting through the air with casual grace.
"I have the potential capability to collapse THE Primordial Chaos under the right circumstances... and be capable of taking on what he contributes to the overall Existence. I would become what he was. His Claim would become my Claim. His role would become my role."
She turned back to face him.
"I will commend you for doing something I did not believe the current you could do. I give credit where credit is due."
Her eyes sharpened.
"But whether you can successfully carry out the other half of the actions required after collapsing an Absolute is yet to be seen."
She tilted her head.
"Has THE Absolute Existential Palace formed yet? It should be about time soon..."
THE Absolute Existential Palace?
Noah raised his brows at this unfamiliar term.
THE Secretive Eon smiled and explained.
"It is the remnant of Existence that forms after an Absolute dies. Where you can claim all that the Absolute held...items, depth, memories..."
Her voice grew heavier.
"And whether their collapse will be a complete loss for Existence, or not."
She paused dramatically.
"Of course, I know about this because..."
Her eyes met his directly.
"You are not the only one who has collapsed an Absolute."
BOOM!
The words landed like thunder!
