Chapter 4893: Storm IV
Even as he started this process, even as the combined authority of THE Loom began to flow toward the Crack of Observable Existence, something else demanded his attention.
"Huh?"
THE Living Paradox turned to a certain direction, his eyes shining with wonder and incredulity as he felt his weavings of Paradox buzzing. His Claim to Paradox was buzzing as if something else was contesting it, as if another authority was rising that held legitimate connection to the aspect he had usurped.
And he recognized this aura.
It was impossible to mistake!
It was the aura of the one single being he respected the most apart from THE Creature in all of Observable Existence.
It was the aura of his teacher.
THE Primordial Paradox.
The being he had consumed to claim his position among THE Four. The master who had taught him everything he knew about Paradox and contradiction and the nature of impossible things. The entity whose existence he had supposedly ended when he usurped the Claim.
And yet that aura was blooming somewhere in Observable Existence, growing stronger by the moment.
"Haha... ridiculous."
THE Living Paradox couldn’t help but smile and laugh at such an unfolding weaving of existence. His laughter echoed across the paradoxical mountain, filled not with concern but with something approaching joy.
They continued to turn up the heat on him to make him feel as if he was boiling.
THE Creature waged war against him.
THE Youngest held grudges.
And now his own teacher was apparently returning from collapse to contest his Claim.
The impossibilities were stacking up.
The adversities were multiplying!
The hardships were reaching heights that would have broken any other being in Observable Existence.
And THE Living Paradox was jubilant.
Because this was yet another impossible adversity. This was yet more fuel for the Vakochev Scales. This was yet another challenge that, if overcome, would elevate his existence to heights that no one had ever reached.
He would also turn the heat up for all of them.
If they wanted to make things difficult for him, he would make things difficult for everyone.
So as ridiculously as it seemed, another pivotal moment unfolded at this moment in time. And uniquely, it was not THE Genesis Monarch who was at the center of it.
For once, someone else was initiating a change that would reshape Observable Existence.
THE Living Paradox made his move.
His Axioms blazed with authority that exceeded what any single Absolute should possess, channeling THE Loom’s accumulated power through the Crack of Observable Existence. The fracture cried out as if in pain, becoming torn even further by forces that shouldn’t have been able to affect something that predated Observable Existence itself.
But no proto-matter flooded out of it.
Instead, THE Living Paradox flooded something else into it.
THE Fallout.
If THE Creature wanted adversity, THE Living Paradox would give him adversity.
If THE Youngest wanted to grow strong in this place, THE Living Paradox would make it infinitely more dangerous!
If his old teacher wanted to return and contest his Claim, THE Living Paradox would ensure that everyone suffered equally.
The Crack of Observable Existence screamed as THE Fallout poured through it, carrying the will of THE Living Paradox who refused to face his impossibilities alone.
If he was going to burn, everyone was going to burn with him.
That was the paradox of his existence.
That was the nature of his war.
That was why, despite everything, THE Living Paradox was smiling as he initiated an escalation that would force all players to show their true hands.
The peasant who had become one of THE Four was making his move!
---
In THE Mouseion of Fated Artifacts.
An expression of power was being shown here that reminded Noah of one thing he sometimes forgot.
Because of his nature, he moved through stages of power rapidly. He overcame many beings and held more power than them at their stage. He devoured Absolutes and claimed their foundations. He grew in days what others grew in eons.
But he wasn’t the only unique thing in Existence.
There were others.
And others, even if he was arrogant enough to consider himself someone with grander potential than them, were still grand in their own right. If they had eons to cultivate and grow and refine their foundations, what they could accomplish was terrifying.
THE Primordial Paradox was terrifying.
An example was how Noah himself, after having killed and devoured multiple Absolutes, was only now matching and slightly exceeding the foundation of THE Primordial Paradox and THE Creature at Fundamental Depth. And these beings had spent a ridiculous amount of effort on this Depth, as their foundations exceeded many other Absolutes by significant margins.
But they had millions and billions of years to then forge their Absolute Depth.
That was their stepping-off point to THE Second Scale of Existence.
These beings were powerful in ways that Noah was only beginning to understand.
So much so that right now, in THE Mouseion of Fated Artifacts, THE Antinomia Prismatica unfolded and unfurled like a paradoxical lotus blooming in reverse and forward simultaneously. Its blue-gold surface peeled away in layers that contradicted each other, revealing and concealing at the same time, until what lay within could finally emerge.
From it, THE Primordial Paradox emerged.
He came forth from immense concentrated weavings that looked like mixtures of Embodiments and Apophasis mixing within each other in a terrifying manner. Declarations of what was and declarations of what was not twisted around his form like serpents devouring their own tails, paradoxical authority so dense that reality itself seemed to struggle with whether he was actually present or merely the possibility of presence.
As his humanoid form became apparent, one could notice a few things.
One was the fact that behind Noah, Glossikos had fallen on her ass and now wore an ashen expression as if she was bearing a weight far too heavy for even her foundations to support.
She was an Absolute, one of the Strategoi of THE Agora of Primordial Judgment.
And yet she was having a hard time with the aura of THE Primordial Paradox.
Her hands pressed against the golden river beneath her as she struggled to simply remain conscious, her luminous features pale with effort!
And Lumivara, the little fox in humanoid form, sadly lost consciousness entirely. Her body landed on the golden river with a soft sound that seemed impossibly loud in the oppressive silence that THE Primordial Paradox’s emergence had created.
And Noah?
Noah was able to get a glimpse and understand the power of THE Primordial Paradox when he wasn’t hiding and keeping his might concealed.
He felt stifled and expectant in equal measure.
Stifled because ridiculously, he had to activate a defensive Inscriptio Dormiens just to make sure his status as an Absolute Immovable Object wasn’t violated. The aura being released before him almost blew away this body of his, almost scattered his existence across THE Mouseion like leaves before a hurricane. The Sleeping Inscription he had prepared flared to life around him, its Embodiment declaring protection based on the difference between his foundation and the one attacking him.
And even with that protection, he felt the pressure!
