Infinite Mana In The Apocalypse

Chapter 4906: The Information Paradox II

Chapter 4906: The Information Paradox II

Noah absorbed all of this with eyes that shone brighter by the moment, his mind already burning through implications that THE Living Paradox hadn’t yet stated.

THE Living Paradox continued with a voice that held absolute arrogance beneath its calm surface.

"Most beings accept THE Information Paradox as an unsolvable mystery. They acknowledge the contradiction and move on with their existences, content to let greater powers worry about fundamental inconsistencies in reality. But I...am not most beings."

BOOM!

His smile became something dangerous.

"I have been violating this paradox since before my old Master found me begging in the streets of a forgotten realm. I am uniquely one across Observable Existence who can do so, and I have been taking in Information... but this Information consists of the endless weavings of existence that cannot be destroyed."

He paused.

"Even though when they enter my existence, they do get lost entirely."

The words hung in the space between spaces with weight that pressed against Noah’s consciousness.

"Do you understand what I am telling you, Osmont? I am a living violation of the most fundamental paradox in existence. Information enters me. Information is conserved within me. And yet, simultaneously, that information is lost forever in ways that should be impossible. I hold both states within myself at all times. I am the void that consumes, and I am the release that carries no trace. I am the paradox made flesh."

His eyes grew distant.

"When I first discovered this capability, I thought it was merely a curiosity. A quirk of my existence that had no practical application. But over eons, I came to understand what it truly meant. I could take the weavings of existence into myself. All that...information. I could consume the Information that comprised beings and Civilizations and entire realms. And when I released that consumed essence, it would carry my signature rather than theirs."

He began to pace again as his voice grew harder.

"THE Fallout...was the deliberate release of Information that I have been consuming for eons, now spreading across Observable Existence as weavings under my control rather than weavings that belong to their original sources."

He stopped pacing and faced Noah with an expression that held condescension barely restrained.

"The Information that comprises Observable Existence is being drawn into the paradox that I embody. And when this process completes, when the Information has been fully consumed and released... Observable Existence itself will carry my signature. The weavings that define reality will be weavings that I have touched. "

He spread his hands wide.

"This is what I have worked eons to achieve. This is the Cause that I am attempting. Not merely to Scale Existence, but to become the fundamental Information upon which Observable Existence operates. To be the paradox at the heart of reality itself."

...!

THE Living Paradox let those words settle before his expression shifted to something that held genuine bewilderment beneath its arrogance.

"I accounted for everything. THE Creature’s interference. My old Master’s contingencies. THE Primordial Chaos’s instability. I spent eons preparing for every variable that could disrupt my Cause, and I believed I had covered them all."

He looked at Noah with eyes that held something almost like respect.

"And then... new Information simply squeezed itself in."

His gaze dropped to the Infinite Seals that swirled around Noah’s illusory form.

"Information that shines brightly with Infinities that I cannot fully consume. Information that regenerates faster than my paradox can process it. Information that, when I attempt to draw it into my void, simply produces more of itself as I...cannot process it."

He laughed softly.

"Now, my methodology is spreading your signature alongside mine. Every realm that THE Fallout touches is being seeded with your Seals as well as my weavings. Every Civilization that becomes corrupted is receiving your Infinities as well as my Information."

His smile became something between immensity and admiration.

"I worked eons for this moment. Eons of consuming and releasing. Eons of preparing the Information that would spread across Observable Existence. Eons of positioning every piece on the board exactly where it needed to be."

He shook his head slowly.

"And you, THE Youngest among them, someone who wasn’t even at the Civilizational Scale of Existence for long...you’ve managed to insert yourself into my grand design."

BOOM!

His eyes locked onto Noah’s with intensity that pressed against the illusory space between them.

"Isn’t that just a maddening thing?"

...!

THE Living Paradox finished his words with a dangerous smile as he looked at Noah whose eyes were shining brilliantly!

A maddening thing.

When Noah thought about it, it was truly so!

But he found himself studying THE Living Paradox as from how he was talking, even with the slight anger he showed, there was something else beneath the surface. Something that didn’t quite match the circumstances of having his grand design infiltrated by an unexpected variable.

"Why are you so... unbothered?"

Yes.

THE Living Paradox was eerily unbothered about all of it. He even seemed happy. His eyes held light that spoke of satisfaction rather than concern, of anticipation rather than worry.

At Noah’s words, THE Living Paradox smiled with an expression that made the space between spaces feel smaller somehow.

"I can be paradoxically happy and mad at the same time."

His voice held that profound calmness that seemed to define his existence.

"Because with every action, with every choice, there is a reaction. Everything in Observable Existence, from the grandest Absolute to the smallest mortal consciousness, operates on this principle. Action and reaction. Cause and effect. Choice and consequence."

He folded his hands behind his back as waves of definition and undefinition swirled around his beggar-like form.

"Everything comes down to choices. Choices!"

The eyes of THE Living Paradox shone with a terrifying light of fanaticism as he continued, his voice growing more intense with each word.

"Let me tell you something about the nature of Observable Existence that most beings refuse to acknowledge. Determinism. Determinism! There are those who believe that all events, all actions, all decisions made by every consciousness across every realm, are predetermined by the weavings that came before them. That the Civilizational Authority we wield, the paths we walk, the enemies we face and the allies we choose... all of it was fixed before we ever became aware enough to perceive ourselves making choices."

He began to pace through the swirling mixture of corrupted proto-matter and Infinite Seals.

"If every weaving of existence follows from the weavings that preceded it, then the future is not something we create through our decisions. It is something that already exists, waiting for us to arrive at it through the illusion of choice. THE Creature’s war against me? Predetermined. My betrayal of my Master? Predetermined. Your emergence as THE Youngest among THE Four? Already woven into the fabric of existence before you were ever born."
