Chapter 4975: Master and Disciple I
THE Primordial Paradox was surrounded by waves of Bounded Countable Infinite Paradoxes.
They churned around his existence with patterns that contradicted themselves and yet remained stable, with currents that flowed in multiple directions simultaneously, with expressions that should have been impossible and yet existed anyway because paradox permitted the impossible to be. The blue-gold dots that now scattered across his obsidian form pulsed with sequential light that extended endlessly in progression his consciousness could observe. Each dot was a seed of Infinity that THE Youngest had bestowed upon him, and each pulse was Countable expression following the previous one in order that would never terminate.
His Bounded Countable Infinity had fully integrated, and his Absolute Effigy had transformed to reflect this integration.
At this moment, his massive Effigy manifested above him with form that was shockingly not humanoid at all. It was a regal cat filled with Paradoxes, its feline form stretching across the skies with size that matched what his previous Effigy had displayed while holding elegance that exceeded humanoid configuration entirely.
Its fur was obsidian darkness scattered with blue-gold stars that pulsed with Infinite progression, and its eyes burned with contradiction given visual expression, swirling patterns that looked in multiple directions simultaneously while focusing on single points with intensity.
Its tail curved in spirals that defied spatial logic, each curve leading to contradictions that somehow connected back to harmony. Its claws extended with paradoxical sharpness that could cut things that couldn’t be cut and leave whole things that should have been severed, while its posture held royal bearing that commanded respect through presence rather than demand.
The Effigy was majestic and paradoxical and grand in ways that his previous manifestation had never achieved.
From its eyes, beams of infinite paradoxical light blazed outward with intensity that exceeded anything he had produced before his integration with Infinity. The light curved along geodesic paths that found the natural geometry of existence, following routes of minimal distance while somehow traveling through territories that shouldn’t have connected. The beams extended endlessly in sequential progression, each moment of light followed by another, Countable Infinity expressing itself through paradoxical illumination that would never cease.
And THE Primordial Paradox voiced out his own unique Embodiment that curved along those same geodesic paths.
"My claim was taken and yet not taken."
The words emerged with weight that pressed against reality itself.
"I hold it while I do not hold it. And I am exactly where the one who took my claim and did not take my claim is."
...!
BOOM!
A terrifying storm of Paradox erupted from the declaration as the Embodiment extended infinitely along geodesic curves, its paradoxical nature finding every instance of what it described, its Countable expressions arriving one after another in progression that would never cease.
The storm raged outward with contradiction that exceeded anything THE Primordial Paradox had produced before his integration with Infinity, and it only kept going without dissipating, without weakening, without fading as conventional Embodiments faded after their initial impact. It continued extending along natural paths through existence, its paradoxical nature compounding with every moment that passed.
THE Primordial Paradox felt calm within the storm of his own creation, expressing slight amazement at this Infinity that now burned within his foundations. So this was what THE Youngest played with, this endless nature that had drawn his attention from the moment he first perceived it!
It was remarkable and terrifying and exactly what he needed.
Gloriously, with the light of paradoxical Infinity blazing around his regal feline Effigy, THE Primordial Paradox paradoxically crossed unfathomable distances across Observable Existence in a single impossible moment. He moved through space without traversing it, arrived at destinations without departing from origins, and existed in multiple locations simultaneously while being singular in his consciousness.
The journey took no time because time had contradicted itself during the travel, and the distance meant nothing because distance had forgotten what measurement was.
He appeared... in THE Prima Indifferentia.
The corrupted proto-matter that filled this space pressed against his existence with weight.
The corruption was dense here, the formlessness was active, and the undifferentiation sought to consume everything that possessed definition with hunger that had existed since before THE Infinite Unfurling.
Mixed within the corruption, he saw glimmers of Infinite Seals scattered throughout the proto-matter like blue-gold stars scattered throughout void, THE Youngest’s Infinities having spread here and mixed with everything to create the combination of paradoxical proto-matter and Infinite expression that was causing so much chaos across Observable Existence.
But THE Primordial Paradox’s attention was not on the corruption or the Infinities.
His attention was on the figure standing in the distance, a peasant in rags who could only be Erwin, THE Living Paradox, his disciple who had consumed his claim across years of subtle betrayal.
At this moment, THE Primordial Paradox observed a scene that exceeded his expectations entirely as Erwin stood over a corpse that was not the corpse of an Absolute or some lesser being caught in THE Prima Indifferentia’s chaos or anything that THE Primordial Paradox would have expected his disciple to be consuming.
It was the corpse of a Primordial Architect.
The ancient entity lay collapsed across the corrupted proto-matter with form that resembled a massive Kongamato, its wings that had once spanned distances beyond measurement now broken and still against the formless ground.
Its beak that had once torn through realities with casual ease now hung open in the stillness of true death, and its feathers that had once burned with authority predating THE Infinite Unfurling now held no light at all. The corpse was massive and ancient and utterly dead, and Erwin was consuming it with hunger that exceeded anything THE Primordial Paradox had witnessed during their time together.
THE Living Paradox leaned down over the Primordial Architect’s corpse with posture that held no dignity and no shame, his ragged clothes stained with essences that shouldn’t have been possible to extract while his wild hair fell across features that burned with ambition exceeding anything THE Primordial Paradox remembered.
He was paradoxically consuming the Primordial Architect’s essence while utilizing corrupted proto-matter and the glimmer of Infinite Seals to amplify his harvest, the three substances mixing within his consumption in ways that should have been impossible.
But Erwin had always been comfortable with impossibility, and that was why THE Primordial Paradox had chosen him as disciple in the first place!
