Chapter 5074: Storm I
Nakatsukuni.
The illusory screen hovering within Sadakar’s domain displayed devastation of Noah’s battle in The Wastes.
Noah watched his other body through the feed. The three newly arrived Primordial Architects filled the screen with presence that made even this distant observation feel heavy.
And then the Calymmian entity among them, Grimvault, THE Primordial Silence, dispersed the broadcast entirely with authority that simply refused its continued existence!
The screen went dark.
Naldine Manthon looked at Noah with expression that shifted through several configurations before settling on exhausted acceptance. She raised one hand to massage her forehead, fingers pressing against skin that seemed suddenly weary despite the power contained within her foundations. Her singularity-dotted eyes closed briefly as if she needed a moment to process what she had just witnessed.
She then looked toward Noah calmly, her mouth opening as if she was about to deliver rebuke that had been building since the broadcast began.
But she observed his demeanor here in this body, the complete absence of concern despite the fact that his other self now faced three Proterozoic Scale entities including one at the Calymmian Tier. He sat there with composure!
Whatever rebuke she had prepared dissolved into something more practical.
"Just... tell me where you are."
Her voice emerged measured despite the tension underlying it.
Noah looked toward her with eyes that held the same calm his other body was displaying across the vast distances separating them. The golden light of Observable force that continued flooding through his existence via Eon’s pathways made his presence here feel warmer than it had before.
"Maybe I do not need any help."
"..."
The words carried no arrogance, only statement of possibility.
Naldine’s expression hardened into something more firm.
"They will not kill your body. They will capture you."
She stepped closer to where he sat, her radiant white hair shifting with movement that seemed almost aggressive in its precision.
"Again. Tell me where you are."
The distinction she drew was important. Death was one thing. Capture was another entirely. Death could be overcome through the bodies he maintained across Observable Existence. Capture meant many more things.
Noah smiled at these words.
He waved his hand, and a vibrant singularity of information materialized between them. Coordinates and spatial markers and navigational data compressed into a form that Naldine could process instantly, the location of his other body laid bare for her to find.
She absorbed the information without acknowledgment, her attention already shifting toward the Singular Cognizance who had been observing this exchange in silence.
Naldine looked at Sadakar with gaze that held no softness.
"We all must choose sides, Sadakar."
Her voice pressed against the stellar atmosphere of this space with conviction.
"Moloch and the Peasant are here as we speak. They stand at your door, waiting to see what you will do. You can decide how you wish to handle them."
The white-blue singularity within its shifting cube pulsed with light. Sadakar had maintained neutrality across eons that most current beings could not comprehend. Being forced to choose now, in this moment, clearly did not sit well with an entity that had built its entire existence around avoiding such choices.
Naldine did not wait for his response.
She turned to Noah.
"I will go extract your other body. Send this body here away and do not try to add a Singular Cognizance as your enemy as well right now."
Her singularity-dotted eyes blazed with intensity that demanded compliance.
"You have enough enemies for one day."
With these words, she disappeared.
The stellar atmosphere of Sadakar’s domain settled into silence that pressed against Noah’s awareness. He remained alone with a Singular Cognizance, an entity from before differentiation, a consciousness that had observed existence learn how to exist.
Instead of leaving, Noah actually sat down in a meditative position.
His body settled into stillness that suggested he had no intention of departing anytime soon.
Sadakar’s contained brilliance shifted within its cube as that ancient attention fixed upon him.
"You will not be leaving?"
The question pressed against Noah with genuine curiosity.
Noah nodded calmly as he looked out toward the entrance where he and Naldine had arrived. Beyond those doors, the Peasant and Moloch came for whatever reception Sadakar would provide.
"It may be time for me to have another conversation with Erwin."
...!
"And hey, I do not get the chance to talk to Singular Cognizances often. I am curious for anything you might know and share regarding existence."
He turned his attention toward the pulsing singularity.
"What would make someone like you choose a side, if there was any side? I do not even know the full scope of factions among Primordial Architects. Just a little view of it."
...!
He calmly began talking to a Singular Cognizance as if this were merely pleasant conversation between two alike beings.
Elsewhere, terrifying weavings of existence unfolded as a body of his faced enemies far too powerful for his current self!
---
The pressure from those who were truly advanced in THE Proterozoic Scale was unique.
Hours ago, when he faced Beowulf for the first time after they tortured Alexander, Noah could not even touch the Primordial Architect initially.
His Legions had done nothing because they could do nothing.
Even now, he wanted to seek justice for them and the idea of utilizing them. They were his creations, his forces, his expressions of power that should have meant something against the enemies he faced. But until he affirmed himself at heights where such forces became relevant, they had to remain something he worked with in the background.
But back to Proterozoic Scale entities.
The only reason he had been able to interact with Beowulf at all was due to declaring himself finite and basically brute smashing the Primordial Architect with the force of Infinity he had access to. Raw power compensating for lack of methodology. Overwhelming force substituting for refined technique. It had worked because Infinity permitted things that should not have been possible.
And now, hours later, he had used the force of Infinity, Observable and Unobservable, and Quintessence Infiniforce to skewer a Rhyacian Proterozoic Lifeform like Beowulf with nine spears.
Four different forces of power.
Behind all of them were his Foundations at Uncountable Infinity and his Civilizations. The framework that held everything together, the skeleton upon which all his expressions of authority hung. His Civilizations were the vessels through which force flowed, the channels that directed raw power into meaningful action.
But this also caused him to think about his Civilizations more carefully.
He could embody any Civilization. His Organ of Civilization and Infinity and his very nature made this possible! But he had staunchly began on THE First Tongue. On the language of Existence that was connected to Mana.
Now he had Mana, and he had Infinity. He couldn’t leave behind one or the other as the backbone of how his Organ of Civilization allowed for him to express any Civilizations...was due to the versatility of Mana. It was all behind the shoulders of The First Tongue that changed the language of Existence of his Civilization to be...anything.
How much more could THE First Tongue go as the foundation of things alongside Infinity and what he was delving into now?
The enemies in front of him were using variations of the four aspects of the Oldest Paradox of Existence as their Civilizations. Chaos, First Tongue, Paradox, and Existence itself served as the frameworks, the skeletons of their power.
The forces they filled those frameworks with to further express themselves were Infinity and, if they were unique enough, perhaps they tapped into weavings of the forces of Observable or Unobservable.
Noah, on the other hand, freely utilized Infinity, Observable, and Unobservable through himself and THE Infiniverse.
And now, due to the connection with a Gilded Lifeform, he was receiving an influx of Observable force that exceeded what any Bounded entity should have been capable of accessing. Rivers of golden authority continued flooding into his existence through pathways that violated Designations he had never known existed a day ago.
With a Civilizational Anchor, those at THE Second Scale held resistance to Infinity and could form Proterozoic Bones or Organs filled with Infinity or Observable force without succumbing to its madness. They acclimated more and more power with the transformation of their bones and organs as their Civilizations became overpowering.
Which was why something like the Proterozoic Organ of Grimvault, the Lungs designated as THE Breath of Endings, could exhale authority capable of dissolving First Scale entities entirely.
The breath of that existence alone could erase him.
When it came to how he had to use such powerful beings as the hammers to make himself stronger, he had to clash against and survive against their power. Infinity was there to make everything possible, the foundation that permitted impossibilities to occur. But the other equations were the forces of Existence that seemed to be critically important.
Observable and Unobservable.
Now, why was it that a Gilded Lifeform was so blessed with a nigh endless supply of Observable? It was a force that made things very easy, with Noah processing it through his Hadean Organ of Civilization as it had helped him rapidly form new bones of his existence that now extended past his shoulders. That Observable force only added to the endlessly generating Quintessence Infiniforce inside him, and his Organ of Civilization converted both into Civilizational Eons of Development that allowed even more progression.
So the directions were clear.
He just had to Persevere under pressure until he got to the point where Grimvault became manageable like Beowulf. But from this point until then, there was a world of pain and adversity waiting for him. A gulf of suffering that had to be crossed before he could stand where these ancient monsters stood! But he welcomed it as he had to cross this gulf!
So now, he faced Grimvault, Sammarthiel, and Vahrkosis.
When faced with the question of just who could possibly side with him in this confrontation, he had implied that he... was not alone!
