Chapter 5169: Reign V
At this moment, Ubergulden Adelheid had sent a portion of her consciousness into the vibrant Quintessence Infiniforce inside of her Existence as her expression was heavy, the pearlescent gold of her internal manifestation flickering with the tremors of a reality that had been fundamentally shaken by recent events.
The concept was anathema to everything she understood of the hierarchy, a violent violation of the natural order that suggested the foundations of THE Braneworld were not as immutable as THE Magna Sorora believed.
She struggled to reconcile the image of THE Creature she had known with the reality of a Young Relictus who had somehow tapped into THE Primordial Source, a wellspring of power that even THE Third Scale Gilded Ones could not access despite eons of dedicated pursuit.
She had all these questions as her direct access had not bothered to come here out of his own volition, his silence since the conclusion of their last exchange becoming a source of mounting anxiety that she could no longer ignore.
BOOM!
Multicolored Quintessence Infiniforce did not merely flow through the connection; it surged and increased in concentration with a tidal ferocity that suggested a dam had been shattered on the other side, seas of concentrated brilliance rushing out and flowing into her in an endless, unstoppable manner that she had never before experienced!
As the flood reached its zenith, the visage of Noah Osmont manifested within the center of the surge, his figure surrounded by an intense, crystalline light of infinity that made the surrounding space appear dim by comparison.
HUUM!
"What happened down there? And what... what are you doing right now?!"
|I am beginning to alter the nature of our relationship.|
The words vibrated through her foundations, holding the cold weight of a glorious verdict that left no room for negotiation or appeal.
Ubergulden Adelheid’s figure shook as the realization of his intent settled into her mind, the influx of his Infiniforce now so intense that it was beginning to manifest as visible rivers beneath her pearlescent skin, the multicolored light fighting for dominance against her natural gold.
"Have you...fallen to the madness of infinity, Osmont? Has THE Gamaidjan finally claimed the mind of the one who thought he could outrun it? You are speaking like a being who has lost his anchor!"
Noah’s reply was instantaneous as it carried the dry, terrifying cadence of his new state, dismissing her concern with the indifference of a mathematician correcting a trivial error.
He floated forward until he was inches away from her internal manifestation, his towering presence casting a multicolored shadow across her form as he looked down at her with a gaze that held no malice, yet possessed no warmth.
|Hold tight, Ubergulden Adelheid. You sought a Custos who could change the nature of the Gilded, and I am merely fulfilling the potential of your request. You will soon join me in the endless light of Infinity.|
---
She had lived through eons of manic shifts and chaotic siphoning, had navigated the turbulent seas of every conceivable sentiment across the Observable, but the realization that the emotional weavings of her fixation had been replaced by a void of absolute, clinical Infinity was a loss that felt far too big not just for her own fragile heart, but for the very fabric of existence itself!
But as she was wallowing in this loss, her knees pressed against the pale stone of the mountain’s ruins, she felt something bloom within her existence that defied the forced dormancy of her bindings. When she blinked and focused her internal perception, she saw that an unknown and unfathomable construct had actually managed to bypass everything and enter the deepest reaches of her foundations, manifesting within her internal seas of emotion as an illusory crimson-blue holographic figure that carried the faint, unmistakable glow of her Fixation’s authority!
