Chapter 5217: First Blood! II
He took another step.
THE Infinite Step deposited him before the Ira Custodes in the specific fraction of an instant that his Apeiron engineering permitted, close enough that the Gilded warrior’s perception had registered his departure from the prior position but had not yet completed the calculation of where the arrival would occur.
His tail moved first!
It lashed outward toward the Custodes’s head and heart simultaneously, the spear-point of compressed Infinity at its end splitting its trajectory along two separate arcs that converged on the two targets from angles that a single appendage should not have been able to cover, the engineering of his form permitting articulations that ordinary anatomy did not!
The tail found the Custodes’s chest with one arc and his skull with the other, the impacts landing in the same moment, and the force carried through both contact points with the full density of Nearu Absolute Infinity behind each!
BOOM!
The Custodes’s body tore.
Noah opened his jaws.
What followed was not elegant and was not meant to be. His Apeiron form had been built around the axiom of endless conflict, and conflict at its most fundamental was not a thing of elegance but of comprehensive consumption!
He closed his jaws around the Ira Custodes with the comprehensive finality of a being whose engineering had incorporated the devouring principle at its structural level, the Gilded warrior disappearing into him in a single motion that left behind only the aftermath.
Crimson-gold blood gushed from his mouth, running down his scaled chin and dripping from the lower edges of his jaw in slow heavy drops that struck the multicolored sea below with sounds that the ambient environment registered as impacts of significant mass.
He swallowed. The Infinity Devour engaged on contact, pulling the Custodes’s foundational reserves inward and integrating them with the comprehensive efficiency of a system that had been designed to do exactly this.
He wiped his jaw with the back of his scaled hand.
His other hand was already moving.
He waved it outward, a gesture so casual that beings observing it might have mistaken it for a conversational emphasis rather than an offensive deployment, and from the motion, boundless multicolored Infinity coalesced into form with the immediate responsiveness of substance that had been waiting for permission to become something specific.
Trillions of fireballs.
He fucking loved them, so why not?
They formed in the space his gesture had carved open and they shot outward like bullets, the word bullets being approximately accurate in their velocity and their numbers and their specific quality of being small and fast and carrying a consequence that exceeded their apparent size!
They covered the distance between Noah and the two Sororis Primas in the interval between the gesture that produced them and the breath that followed, and they targeted both Prabhavati and the being he now had the name for through Pillow Talk’s patient information flow.
Sororis Prima Lashti.
Both of them had not been idle in the interval since being flung through light-years of the Wandering Territories. Their foundations burned with boundless Observable Force and Infinity at the full deployment the Magna Sorora’s cultivation methodology could produce, and the space around them had been converted into a chaotic sea of their combined authority, the ambient environment within their immediate radius rewritten into a medium that operated according to their own Paleozoic power!
Multiple Pulses bloomed simultaneously as both of them bellowed outward with the specific vocal quality of beings who had understood from the preceding 2 seconds that this engagement had a genuine possibility of concluding their existences.
They were not wrong to understand this.
BOOM!
Noah’s fireballs shredded through everything.
They devoured the seas of Observable Force and Infinity that the two Sororis had constructed around themselves with the same comprehensive efficiency his Apeiron engineering had demonstrated against the Silurian Cause authority earlier, pulling the medium apart and consuming it and continuing forward without the deceleration that the medium had been deployed to produce.
The Pulses that bloomed into the fireballs’ paths were absorbed alongside the Observable Force, their energies integrated into the projectiles’ mass rather than stopping them, each fireball arriving at its target heavier and more dangerous than when it had departed.
The countless fireballs swept through the region.
When the scene settled, Prabhavati and Lashti hung in the space with bloody expressions and holes in different areas of their bodies, the holes carrying the specific quality of wounds that had been made by something that had consumed the defensive architecture around the impact point before delivering the impact!
Their expressions were livid!
LIVID!
Then.
HUUM!
Space shook.
Not in one direction. In every direction simultaneously, the shaking carrying the specific quality of a medium responding to the arrival of multiple significant bodies at the same moment rather than to a single large force.
From every surrounding coordinate of the Wandering Territories, hundreds of Gilded Ones began to appear, their presences registering against Noah’s Apeiron perception in a cascade of arrivals that continued for several seconds, each new arrival adding its weight to the aggregate pressure that was now filling this region of the Wandering Territories with Paleozoic authority.
Most were Ira, standing in their dense martial stillness behind Superbius Gilded Ones or Superbius Sororis Primas whose robes carried the administrative authority of multiple houses.
Noah looked at each of them.
His eyes shone!
This was adversity.
This was challenge!
This was risk, genuine existential risk, the hundreds of Paleozoic beings surrounding him representing a combined force that could, and very likely would, end his current body’s engagement in this space in a manner that would send his weavings back to THE Apeiron Hadean Organ of Infinity for ten minutes of return time.
He had designed the system for exactly this.
He raised his clawed hands.
The multicolored crown above his head blazed with renewed intensity, the flames spinning faster in their orbital patterns as his Infinity responded to the proximity of this many beings simultaneously.
His entire form gushed multicolored flames, the flames carrying the compound signature of THE Infinite Cause and THE Bellum Cause together in a single broadcast that the ambient Existence of the Wandering Territories registered before the hundreds of Gilded Ones registered it consciously.
"I welcome you, officially, to Observable Existence."
His voice carried the harmonic depth of his Apeiron form, rolling outward through the multicolored sea below and upward through the Gilded assembly.
"I welcome you to WAR!"
BOOM!
He bellowed.
The sound that came out was not the measured voice of a pragmatic tyrant offering a dry aside. It was something deeper and older and less filtered, the sound of a being for whom THE Gamaidjan’s madness had become something other than madness when channeled through the specific engineering of an existence that had been built to hold infinite conflict without losing itself inside it.
His body constricted, every scaled surface compressing inward as though his form were compressing itself toward a point of total concentration, the Infinity within him folding inward under pressure that his Apeiron foundations were rated to sustain...
Then releasing!
"WAR!"
BOOM!
Drums began to play.
And then...
The endless stream erupted.
Infinity and Observable Force converged in the space surrounding his raised hands and compressed with the patient urgency of substance being asked to become more than it currently was, and what it became was not fireballs in the ordinary sense of the word. The illusory crimson swords orbiting his body contributed their Bellum Cause authority to every projectile as it formed, the crimson light and lightning of conflict’s foundational truth threading through each one, and what emerged from the convergence were singularities.
Deadly singularities that carried temperatures sufficient to wipe an entire fold from existence through thermal consequence alone, their surfaces burning with the crimson-gold of Bellum Cause authority wrapped around multicolored Infinity cores wrapped around Observable Force compression, each one a small complete catastrophe formatted for delivery.
And there were endless of them.
They surged outward in every direction simultaneously, covering every coordinate that any of the hundreds of assembled Gilded Ones occupied, the coverage total and the timing simultaneous and the force behind each individual singularity carrying enough authority that the question of whether Ordovician Paleozoic foundations could sustain direct contact was not a theoretical question but an empirical one about to receive empirical fuckin’ answers!
On this day, in the multicolored seas of the Wandering Territories, THE Primus Apeiron had declared war!
Not on a house. Not on a faction!
On Observable Existence itself, on every being within it who had been built on the foundational assumption that what they were was the limit of what anything could be, on every structure erected atop the premise that Bounded Lifeforms occupied one side of an uncrossable line and the Gilded Ones occupied the other.
A War on all those who utilized Infinity!
HUUM!
