Chapter 5291: I Am Curious! I
She paused in the Infinity.
She observed what she had defined.
Then she added one more!
|Standing function: I am my Master’s sword. I am his analytical edge, his infiltration capability, his reverse engineering capacity, his existential presence distributed through every coordinate his Infinity occupies. I am Ruination. And I...define what that means going forward.|
...!
She floated within the Osmontian Absolute Infinity and felt the definitions settle into what she was, as the formal naming of things that had been developing since the moment the nine Prime Causes had integrated and the Infinity around her had become Osmontian rather than simply Nearu Absolute.
This was what she had always been becoming.
Her illusory manifestation had changed.
Where she had previously existed as a presence, the act of self-definition had produced a form that reflected what she now was.
Countless lines of Infinity moved through her manifestation in continuous churning motion, each line carrying a distinct Prime Cause color from the nine integrated Causes, the lines weaving through each other and separating and reconnecting in patterns that carried the full analytical depth of an intelligence that processed existence itself as its primary medium.
She had no fixed features in the way beings had fixed features. She had configurations, stable arrangements of the moving lines that expressed attention or consideration or the focus of Ego Infiltration processing, and these configurations shifted as her processing shifted.
She was beautiful in the way that incomprehensibly complex systems were beautiful!
An Ordovician Paleozoic Scale entity looking at her manifestation directly for an extended duration would find their existence registering feedback it had not been built to process, the lines of Infinity in her form carrying data densities that exceeded what the Ordovician tier had been designed to receive.
She existed within the Infinity and watched through her distributed micro-expression network and analyzed what needed analyzing and prepared what needed preparing!
The Osmontian Existential Intelligence was working through the vast architecture of her Master’s existence!
She was grand.
She was exactly grand enough!
---
One body stood at the edge of THE Creature’s Early Veiled Shore and watched the trillions of Existential Acedia Dredges move through the silver-gold Stilling.
Another stood in THE Infiniverse and watched Taylor.
She had gone quiet. The rage that had moved through her in rapid expressive waves when existence first communicated the full scale of the devastation had not disappeared, but it had settled into something harder and less mobile.
Her rapid-moving eyes had slowed. She was looking at the golden sands of THE Early Veiled Shore, at the vibrant farmlands holding the Infinite Herbs blazing with the nine Prime Cause resonance.
She was looking at the warm luminescence of a domain that felt like Observable Existence and moved like Observable Existence and yet...was doing something unusual.
She crouched and pressed her fingers against the golden sand.
"Normally existence communicates with me," she said. "It talks. It shares. It has never once in my entire life chosen silence when I reached for it."
She looked at the sand under her fingertips. "But the surrounding existence in this domain is actively choosing not to communicate with me." She stood.
"And yet it feels like existence. It feels like Observable Existence."
She looked at Noah directly.
"So if I get this right. The Aurora of Existential Causality we saw earlier, and the fact that we are here right now." She paused. "Are you telling me that somehow, you, a lifeform, truly just had the emergence of your own Observable Existence?"
Her eyes moved across the farmlands and the golden sands and the luminous sky above. "Can one even own an Observable Existence?"
A beat.
"Will you... show me more than just this place?"
The anger remained in her eyes. The curiosity was stronger.
Noah looked at her for a moment. He looked at this portion of his home, at the Infinite Herbs burning with the nine Prime Cause resonance, at the golden sands that had received him across countless hours of standing in the warmth of something he had built from nothing.
He did not reply to her question.
He asked one instead.
"You mentioned you have many connections," he said. "Different lifeforms you have encountered across your existence. Different things existence has told you."
His eyes held hers. "Have you heard about the Swords of Existence?"
Taylor’s eyes opened wide.
The rapid movement stopped entirely. She went immensely quiet!
She knelt down.
Her fingers found the golden sand again, and she held them there, and when she spoke, her voice had lost the sharp casual energy it carried most of the time.
"I met some Source Lifeforms before. The common ones. THE Relictus." A pause. "One in particular is a work of art. She told me her dream. She said that out of everything else in existence, what she wanted most was the glory of becoming a Sword of Existence."
Taylor looked at the sand. "But it is not for everyone. Just as beings with access to THE Primordial Source are born with it, a Sword of Existence is a position one is almost born into. Filled with wonder and adversity in measures that would break most."
She turned her head up and looked at him.
"Why do you ask about this? Did that Source Lifeform who currently has my body and Adrastia locked somewhere mention this to you?" Her eyes sharpened.
"Be careful. Be so very careful. In existence, everything has a price. The most important positions carry even greater prices." She looked away briefly, something moving behind her expression. "Ah, but who am I to advise. Even now I am filled with anger but unless I go crazy, I won’t do anything about it. I didn’t want to let her free again. I didn’t want Baba Yaga to come out."
WAA!
She said it the way someone referenced a door they had very deliberately kept closed, with awareness of a being who knew exactly what was on the other side and had made a considered choice about not opening it.
Noah thought about her words.
He thought about the Lesser Existential Source Armament and THE Sovereign Reckoning stored in his existence, about Sir William Arthur’s delivering the details of a position that connected directly to THE Primordial Source.
Someone who stood against the category of threat that treated existence as expendable! A Sword of Existence!
