Chapter 2885: Great Yin Ruins
The two ladies noticed Zu An's peculiar expression. Chu Chuyan was able to hold herself back, but Isabella couldn’t withhold her curiosity. “What’s wrong, big brother Zu?”
Zu An’s face reddened. He couldn’t tell them about his new title, so he changed the topic instead.
They chatted for a while until Chu Chuyan abruptly stood up. “I’ll return to my room to cultivate. Undergoing the Order Ceremony has brought me some epiphanies that I need to digest. You can continue chatting.”
“Ah!” Isabella’s face turned bright red. She quickly stood up. “It’s getting late. I’ll leave too.”
But Chu Chuyan held her down. “Don’t. That just makes it seem as if I’m chasing you out. You can continue chatting. It’s not like we’re outsiders anyway.”
Isabella panicked at Chu Chuyan’s departure. She could tell that the latter was giving them some private time together, but they were in the Universal Conglomerate headquarters, and many people had seen her entering Zu An’s room. Speculations were bound to surface if she remained in his room through the night even after Chu Chuyan left. But they had already parted ways for many years in the Order Ceremony due to being on opposing sides. It hadn’t been easy for them to reunite, and there were countless words she wanted to tell her lover.
Her toes fiddled, but her feet stayed put.
Zu An noticed her nervousness and chuckled. “Are you afraid that I’ll eat you?”
Isabella grumbled coyly, “Big brother Zu, you’re teasing me~”
Zu An smiled. “I’m glad that decades in the Order Ceremony didn’t wear down your pure temperament.”
“Ha! Are you implying that after spending decades in the Order Ceremony, I’ve become an old hag?” Isabella stomped her feet.
“Our Bella is the big miss of the great Universal Conglomerate. What have you never seen before? There’s no way your temperament would change just because you spent decades in a dungeon.” Zu An pinched her cheeks. Her sweet ‘Ha!’ carried a fatal charm that Lilith could never hope to emulate.
Isabella felt embarrassed by his compliment. “I wouldn’t have been able to persist if not for you.”
They had been in a desperate situation in Dreamland as well, but back then, she had merely regretted her powerlessness. This time, she'd felt despair so deep that it crushed her entire world. Witnessing the deaths and betrayals of her elders had made her doubt everything she stood for.
When she learned that Zu An had defected to the Annihilation faction as well, her heart nearly shattered, though she'd decided to trust him after she calmed down. She might not have known him as long as her elders, but for some reason, she had a feeling that even if everyone else in the world turned their back on her, he would never do so. Even when the Order resistance was vanquished by the Annihilation faction, she'd still held on because of the final sliver of trust she had in him.
And he hadn’t let her down. Upon learning everything that had happened, she leaped in excitement.
“You’re a strong woman. I couldn’t tell you anything even though I knew you were in a vulnerable position. I was so worried that you would succumb.” Zu An gently held her hand.
Isabella’s body trembled. If big brother Zu makes a move... Should I accept him?
Even though she viewed herself as his woman, they weren’t officially wedded, and there were many eyes on her here. But she was reluctant to turn him down, knowing that they would part ways again very soon. She felt conflicted.
Just then, she remembered something. It felt as if she had found her salvation. She reached into her bag and took out an item. “Big brother Zu, my father acquired the items you requested from me.” She took out a small bottle that quickly enlarged into a vat.
Zu An was startled. “This is...?”
Isabella blushed furiously. She waved away her miscellaneous thoughts and explained, “This is the Agate of Enlightenment. My father has gathered all the stock we have. Let me know if it’s not enough. I’ll tell my father to find more.”
Zu An opened the vat and saw a pristine fluid resembling jade that emanated a familiar ki. He was overjoyed. “Yes, this is the Agate of Enlightenment! It’s enough!”
As expected of the Universal Conglomerate. I only managed to find a small bottle despite my best efforts, but they actually found an entire vat of it. This is enough for Mi Li to reconstruct her body. The previous amount was only enough to make her a loli body, but now, she can have any cup she wants!
Unless she wants to be a titan, anyway.
Isabella exhaled in relief after seeing his joy. She knew that big brother Zu harbored some gripes against her father, so she wanted to alleviate the tensions between them. She continued, “Our Conglomerate doesn’t have any One Life Water, but my father managed to dig up some information about it.”
“I’m truly grateful to uncle!”
Zu An thought to himself that Aragorn was a scheming man. The latter had pulled the rug out from under his long-time brothers, though his brothers weren’t any better either. However, Aragorn hadn’t done anything detrimental to him, and had even done him a huge favor this time. It was enough to resolve any gripes he had.
“The One Life Water is the mother of all water, the origin of creation. It’s rumored to be in the Great Yin Ruins.” Isabella relayed her father’s words to Zu An. In truth, her father had advised her against revealing this piece of information so she could use it as leverage for Zu An to stay a bit longer. However, she didn’t want to play such tricks.
“Where are the Great Yin Ruins?”
Isabella shook her head. “This is the only piece of information my father obtained despite tapping into the Conglomerate’s resources. No one knows where the Great Yin Ruins are. We only know that they don’t exist in the mortal plane. The entrance only manifests at a specific time, when the night moon is projected on the deep ocean at the convergence point of extreme yin.”
Zu An frowned. Where am I supposed to start searching?
Isabella was apologetic. “Big brother Zu, we’ll continue looking into it. I’ll inform you as soon as we have any news.”
Zu An patted her head to comfort her. “Bella, you've already helped me a lot. At least I have a lead to work with now.” She’s a kind woman. She has no temper despite being one of the loftiest scions in the Myriad Worlds.
Now that he knew about the Great Yin Ruins, he could ask the Deity of Memory about its whereabouts. She records all information in the world. No recorded information eludes her knowledge.
As soon as that thought surfaced, his surroundings suddenly distorted. The next moment, he was transported into a unique dimension filled with flowing data.
“So you did see me. Tell me, should I dig out your eyes?” the Deity of Memory asked coldly.
