Chapter 3124: An Earth Shattering Spar
The old monster had not expected such an overwhelming transformation.
The sheer number of attacks that poured from Lin Mu’s form was terrifying. Swords whirled, bowstring twanged, arrows hissed like falling meteors, and Lin Mu’s own magma-clawed fists came at him with brutal directness.
"Good!" the elder roared, slashing Solemn Sentinel in a sweeping arc.
HUALA HUALA HUALA
In response, hundreds of illusory swords burst into existence around him.
They were condensed entirely of his Sword Qi and saturated with his Sword Intent, an endless storm of blades that surrounded him like a fortress. Each spectral sword intercepted Lin Mu’s strikes, clashing with arrow after arrow, smashing away magma slashes, blocking the furious twin swords that lunged from the tentacles.
Yet Lin Mu’s fists were different.
They bore not only Immortal essence but also the raw destructive might of his Burdenless Dominator Physique. Each blow from his magma-clawed fists landed with the sound of mountains splitting, and the Grand Elder was forced to meet them head-on with Solemn Sentinel.
For several minutes, the battlefield became a blur of movement.
Each time Lin Mu struck with his fists, Solemn Sentinel met them with sharp precision.
Each time the tentacle-wielded swords cut down, the illusory swords rose like an ocean tide to block them. Each arrow from Wonder Seeker split apart into molten fragments as it struck against walls of Sword Qi.
But Lin Mu was not finished.
His aura suddenly flared, and a blood-red light erupted from his body. The magma that covered him surged like a living tide, but above him something even more fearsome manifested.
MOOOOOOOO!
The illusory image of a four-legged Tyrant Bull bellowed to the heavens, its roar shaking the clouds. The sheer vitality it radiated was enough to make the ground tremble.
"This is—!" Elyon’s eyes widened while Cattaleya’s locked onto the bull.
Lin Mu’s companions stared in shock, their breaths caught in their throats.
The next moment, Lin Mu activated the first skill of his body cultivation technique, the Tyrant Bull Marrow Secrets.
"Tyrant Lift!"
His arms swelled, the magma armor accommodating the sudden burst of muscle as his frame expanded.
Red aura intertwined with Immortal essence, shaping his arms into two colossal illusory horns. The horns arced outward, glowing with the Tyrant Bull’s majesty, and then wrapped themselves around the Grand Elder’s figure like the embrace of an unstoppable beast.
"Hooh!" Lin Mu roared, and with a heaving motion, he slammed the horns together.
The Grand Elder’s body was caught in the crushing might and hurled skyward like a cannon shot.
WHOOSH
His figure streaked two kilometers into the heavens, leaving behind a wake of distorted air and collapsing clouds.
"The Grand Elder!" Meng Bai shouted instinctively, though his voice was drowned in the roar of the impact.
Daoist Chu, however, only shook his head with awe. "No... he’s fine. Look."
High above, a booming laugh echoed.
"AHAHAAHAHA!"
The Grand Elder’s form twisted in the air, his robes singed but his spirit undimmed.
He coughed once from the lingering impact before smirking, and called out, "That hurt, brat! But well struck!"
With that, Solemn Sentinel blazed with light, unleashing a massive sword slash that fell like judgment from the sky.
Lin Mu’s horn-formed arms rose to block, magma and aura interweaving with raw bodily might.
RUMBLE
BANGGGGG
The impact sent shockwaves that rippled across the battlefield, forcing Daoist Chu to extend another barrier to protect the observers. Even Elyon had to summon his dark shadows to absorb the excess impact that the barrier couldn’t take.
But the Grand Elder was not content to stay above. He descended like a falling star, sword slashing down again and again. Each cut was devastating, imbued with Sword Intent sharp enough to cleave mountains.
Lin Mu answered every strike.
Some were intercepted by his magma tentacle swords, some shattered against the endless arrows of Wonder Seeker, while others landed directly on his magma-armored body. Each strike should have split a lesser cultivator in two, but Lin Mu’s Burdenless Dominator Physique absorbed them, magma hissing and cracking before regenerating under the heat of his vitality.
The two combatants reentered close-quarters combat, exchanging blow for blow, slash for slash, until the ground beneath them was shredded into craters.
Then Lin Mu vanished again.
Space rippled, and in the blink of an eye he appeared high above, his body swelling with power once more. This time it was not his arms but his legs that expanded, his vitality flooding into them. His legs grew to four times their size, magma coursing down like molten rivers.
The Tyrant Bull’s illusory form above him shifted, its power converging into its four hooves.
Lin Mu’s voice thundered:
"Tyrant Stomp!"
He descended like an executioner’s guillotine, his massive legs crashing down with the weight of mountains. The air itself screamed as the attack threatened to pulverize everything beneath.
The Grand Elder answered with no hesitation. Solemn Sentinel was raised high, and an illusory sword nearly a hundred meters long condensed above him. Its radiance was piercing, its sharpness absolute, a sword that seemed ready to cut the heavens apart.
"Skyward Blade!"
With a shout, he thrust upward.
The sword intent of the elder’s strike clashed with the overwhelming might of the Tyrant Bull’s stomp. The impact was apocalyptic.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM
The ground beneath them collapsed, caving in nearly a hundred meters, a crater forming that bled magma from beneath the earth’s crust. Shockwaves rippled outward, flattening everything within kilometers. Ash, stone, and molten fragments rained down, making it seem as if the world itself was being unmade.
The observers clung to their barriers, eyes wide with disbelief.
Elyon’s lupine gaze flickered, awe shining in his eyes. "He’s... not human. No human can fight like that."
Cattaleya clicked her tongue, her muscular frame tense. "No. He’s human sure... but not entirely. Look at them... they’re tearing the earth apart with nothing but their wills."
Meng Bai, however, smiled faintly, his fists trembling with excitement. "That’s my Master Lin Mu... this is only the start."
And indeed, the battle between Lin Mu and Grand Elder Huo was far from its conclusion.
