Chapter 3126: A Clash Of Ultimate Skills!

Chapter 3126: A Clash Of Ultimate Skills!

Dozens, then hundreds of exchanges passed in mere moments.

Each collision of sword and fist detonated shockwaves that ripped through the plains.

But as Lin Mu fought, he realized something chilling.

The Grand Elder’s power was still rising.

’He’s getting stronger even now, and it’s rising exponentially...’

The Sword Lord Core’s thousand years of accumulation was not empty boasting. The sword intent it contained was like a tide, still flooding into the elder’s body, amplifying him continuously. If this went on, Lin Mu would eventually collapse under the weight of it.

He clenched his fists. ’No.’

He had to end it. End it in one overwhelming strike.

"Time to bet it all..."

And so, he made his choice.

Blinking through space, Lin Mu reappeared directly in front of the Grand Elder, abandoning his previous advantage from behind.

The elder’s brow furrowed. ’Why? Why relinquish such a position?’

In their clash, Lin Mu had moved a lot and evenutally gained the advantage of being behind the Elder, but he willingly gave it up now.

Then, the Grand Elder saw it.

Lin Mu stood in a horse stance, feet rooted like mountains, fists drawn to his side. His tentacles continued their frenzied attacks with swords and bow, but his focus... his aura... all of it was condensing into his right arm.

The elder’s instincts screamed. ’Danger!’

He pressed his sword intent harder, slashing with everything he had. But Lin Mu suddenly unleashed the Dao Skill of his Gravity Dao Embryo that he had kept for the right oppurtunity.

"Heaven Crushing Descent!"

The already fractured battlefield shattered further. The ground sank two hundred meters deeper. The very air weighed upon everyone.

Far in the distance, Daoist Chu fell to one knee, his barrier straining. Meng Bai and Elyon collapsed fully, unable to withstand it. Only Cattaleya remained standing, her muscles taut, veins bulging, defiance written in every fiber of her body... but even she trembled.

The Grand Elder himself was forced to halt his offense, using every shred of Sword Intent to resist the crushing weight. His feet sank deeper into the earth. He could not move. He could only defend.

It was the opening Lin Mu needed.

His aura blazed.

WOOOOOOROOOOOOO

Immortal Qi and Immortal Essence coiled together, weaving into a double helix of blinding energy. Nearly half his reserves poured into his arm.

His armor shattered at the limb unable to withstand the recoil of the energy. Magma exploded outward, revealing a golden fist that glowed with divine radiance.

"Mountain Collapsing Fist..." Lin Mu’s voice thundered like the world’s heartbeat. "Third Form—Devastator!"

WHOOOOOSH

The double helix of pinkish-red energy formed from the combination of Immortal Essence and Immortal qi roared forth, bursting from his fist like a pillar that could pierce the heavens.

KACHA

The recoil was so violent that the skin of his arm cracked, blood spraying, golden flesh and sinews gleaming beneath torn flesh.

Across from him, the Grand Elder’s one eye widened.

"RAHHHHHHHHHH!!!"

He roared, forcing his body beyond its limits. Meridians screamed as he drew upon every ounce of Qi, every fragment of intent still flooding from the Sword Lord Core.

He thrust Solemn Sentinel forward.

"Dividing the Firmament!"

A sword light like a continent’s edge split forward, aiming to sever heaven and earth themselves.

The two ultimate skills met.

The world turned white.

KAAABOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!~

The explosion was apocalyptic.

Light consumed everything, brighter than suns, a wave that flattened land for kilometers.

Energy fluctuations screamed outward, felt across five hundred kilometers.

In Ash Crown City, cultivators looked up in horror, experts rushing skyward only to be blinded by the radiance on the horizon.

And when the light finally dimmed—

The Ash Fall Plains were gone.

In their place was a two-kilometer-deep valley, magma flooding upward from the bowels of the earth to fill the scar.

This was exactly why Lin Mu had given up his advantageous position. If he used Mountain Collapsing Fist in that direction, the attack would have reached the Ash Crown City, possibly destroying a part and killing several people.

Instead, he switched to the other side, so that he could direct the attack to the barren parts.

The battlefield was now silent.

Lin Mu stood bloodied, his armor shattered, his right arm dripping with crimson. His golden fist gleamed faintly, trembling from overexertion. His breath came heavy, but his eyes still shone, unbroken.

A kilometer away, the Grand Elder stood as well.

His body leaned on a narrow pillar of land barely a meter wide, the last remnant of solid ground in the collapsed valley. Blood streamed from his lips. His robes were shredded. His right arm hung broken, a bone jutting through flesh.

But still, in his hand, Solemn Sentinel gleamed.

The observers stared, breaths caught in their throats.

It was a sight no one expected, no one dared believe.

Neither man had fallen.

The duel... was a draw.

.

.

.

The battlefield was still trembling from the aftershocks.

The air stank of molten earth and charred ash. The sound of lava waterfalls could also be heard, as they gushed into fill the newly created valley.

The sky overhead was streaked with fissures of pale lightning, echoes of clashing Daos still lingering in the heavens.

The valley that had once been the Ashfall Plains continued to groan as if the earth itself had been grievously wounded. Magma welled up from below, red rivers spilling and crackling into the depths.

Lin Mu’s companions could only stare.

Their throats were dry, their bodies stiff as though they themselves had been crushed under the Heaven Crushing Descent. Meng Bai’s knuckles were white as he clenched his fists, his lips trembling.

They watched as both men moved. The Grand Elder flew over with some difficulty, while Lin Mu walked forward to meet him halfway, just at the edge of the newly created valley.

"Are... are they still going to fight like this?" he whispered, disbelief coloring his tone.

Because the two men; Lin Mu, bleeding from his golden arm, and Grand Elder Huo Jinyang, a bone protruding from his shattered limb were still standing across from one another.

Their eyes locked, their auras fierce, their battered forms brimming with an unspoken will. For an instant, it seemed the world itself was holding its breath, awaiting the second strike that might tear it entirely asunder.

Then...

"Pft—hahaha!"

The silence cracked.

Both men’s faces, stern and bloodied, broke into wild laughter.
