Chapter 3309: The Youngsters Of The Shanhu Coral Clan

Chapter 3309: The Youngsters Of The Shanhu Coral Clan

The next morning arrived with soft sea winds drifting through the floating walkways of the Shanhu Coral Clan.

The sky was bright, the colors of dawn painted over the waves in layers of gold and pale blue. Lin Mu and his group stood outside the main hall, waiting as instructed.

Moments later, Patriarch Shanhu Haiyang approached, followed by five youths dressed in ceremonial robes of white and pale blue, symbolizing pure bloodline awakening. Their footsteps were light, almost rhythmic, as if they carried a natural affinity with water.

Lin Mu sensed it immediately. Their bloodline was not an ordinary one. It pulsed with gentle currents of power, faint but undeniably special.

"These five are the hope of our clan," the Patriarch said solemnly. "They alone have fully awakened the bloodline of our ancestors."

The five youngsters bowed deeply.

The first to step forward was the young woman at the front. She appeared to be in her early twenties although Lin Mu knew she was likely much older. Her dark blue hair was tied with a cord of coral beads, and her eyes carried the calmness of a still lagoon.

"I am Shanhu Guimen," she said respectfully.

Her voice was gentle yet steady. Lin Mu sensed she was at the First Tribulation Stage of the Immortal Realm, the strongest of the five, though still very weak if compared to the clan elders.

The second to step forward was Shanhu Ying, a slender woman with silver streaks in her deep green hair that swayed like sea weed underwater. She was slightly nervous, her Dao Treading aura trembling like a thin water ripple.

The third, Shanhu Qing, had long flowing black hair and carried a reserved temperament. Her eyes rarely rose higher than Lin Mu’s chest, but her bloodline aura was unmistakable. It shimmered faintly, like the glow of moonlight on shallow water.

The first young man, Shanhu Dian, was sturdier than the women, his aura slightly more stable. He held himself tall and confident, though not arrogant. His hands were calloused, likely from physical training.

Last was Shanhu Jie, a youth who seemed barely an adult. His face was still soft with youthfulness, and his Dao Treading aura was the weakest of the five. Even so, his awakened bloodline was strong within him, swirling gently like a quiet tide.

Daoist Chu observed them all with thoughtful appreciation, while Elyon measured their strengths silently. Meng Bai, being closest to them in age and cultivation stage, offered a small friendly smile, which only made Shanhu Ying blush lightly.

There was already a hint of her being smitten perhaps.

"These are the ones who must reach the ancestral island," Patriarch Haiyang said. "Without them, the ritual cannot be completed. And should they attempt the journey alone, they would surely perish."

Lin Mu nodded. Now that he saw them with his own eyes, he understood the problem clearly. Even the weakest immortal beasts in the ocean would overpower these youths. They would not last a single day outside the safety of the clan’s island.

Lin Mu folded his arms thoughtfully. "Is there anything else you need us to prepare before we depart?"

Shanhu Haiyang shook his head. "We have prepared everything over the past month for this very day. Food, supplies, ceremonial items, offerings, and the vessel required for the journey are all ready. The ship is waiting at the docks."

Lin Mu glanced at his companions and nodded. "Very well, Patriarch. Then we will begin preparations on our side."

But then he added, "Although if we are using Little Shrubby’s speed, we may not need the ship."

This made several elders raise their brows.

The Patriarch stroked his beard with a troubled expression. "Your beast is indeed powerful. But once you reach the outer borders of the Ninth Sea, flight is impossible. The storms there are unnatural and do not allow any creature to remain airborne for long. Spatial distortions can also tear through the sky without warning."

Lin Mu paused. That did complicate things. Little Shrubby’s running speed on water was exceptional, but if the sea became too violent or filled with anomalies, leaping across it might become impossible.

Daoist Chu nodded thoughtfully. "It would be wise to keep the ship with us regardless. If the Ninth Sea conditions worsen, we will need it."

Lin Mu agreed. "Then we will bring your ship. But we will only use it once reaching the unstable zones. Until then, Little Shrubby will carry us."

Patriarch Haiyang accepted this with a relieved nod. "Then let us bring you to the vessel."

He gestured for them to follow, and the group set off down the floating bridges that led from the main hall to the docks. As they walked, the five awakened youths trailed behind the elders, stealing shy glances at Lin Mu’s group, especially at Little Shrubby and Cattaleya.

They eyed Little Shrubby with curious glances and also a bit of adoration. The beast was in his kitten form right now so looked utterly cute to their eyes. Cattaleya on the other hand, seemed awesomely strong with her muscular frame. Shanhu Dian couldn’t help but compare his own body against her, only to find both his thighs were smaller compared to Cattaleya’s single bicep.

Shanhu Jie only found his cheeks getting redder as he stared at the strong woman that seemed utterly beautiful to him.

They reached the docks soon after, where the scent of seawater grew stronger. The waves gently brushed against the stone and coral structures. Dozens of boats floated nearby, from small fishing vessels to mid sized trade ships.

But at the far end of the pier rested the one meant for them.

It was massive, stretching nearly three hundred meters long, crafted from dark silver wood treated with a glistening substance that shimmered faintly in the sun. Bright coral ridges reinforced the hull, while dozens of arrays glowed subtly along its surface. The sails, made from woven sea silk, had patterns that shifted like currents.

It was unmistakably a High Grade Immortal Ship.
