Chapter 3413: The Luxuriant Dongxu Clan

Chapter 3413: The Luxuriant Dongxu Clan

Lin Mu’s group did not need to search long for the Dongxu Clan. In fact, it was impossible not to find it.

The clan’s territory dominated the center of Dongxu City like a colossal jade and stone crown. Its walls stretched outward for nearly thirty kilometers, forming a perfect ring of pale green reinforced stone veined with shimmering white lines.

These were not decorative patterns. Lin Mu could sense they were channels for Dao Traces, pulsing faintly like a heartbeat.

Even Cattaleya, who usually paid little attention to architecture, whistled. "Now that is what I call overkill."

Meng Bai nodded, wide eyed. "This is... bigger than several kingdoms’ palaces."

Lin Mu silently agreed. The Dongxu Clan had been modest when they spoke to him earlier. Their home was more of a fortress city than a clan estate.

The main road leading to the clan gates was flawless jade brick, polished so cleanly it reflected the entire sky.

Carriages, merchants and curious cultivators watched Lin Mu’s group as they passed, whispering to each other about the One Flick Woman, the young prodigy who had defeated Dongxu Ning, and the mysterious man who had healed both competitors with a single chant.

The rumors had spread here too, though the latter one had probably come from Dongxu Ning herself.

Little Shrubby stood proudly on Lin Mu’s shoulder, tail swaying like a banner, while the twins peeked from his sleeves and gasped at every shiny thing they passed.

Soon the towering front gates came into view.

Ten meters tall and carved entirely from reinforced jadeite stone, the doors depicted ancient scenes of the Dongxu Clan’s origin. Men and women molded the earth with their jade-infused bodies, raising mountains with bare hands and splitting boulders with single fingers.

Above them, the clan’s crest, a jade finger pointing upward, glowed faintly with Dao resonance.

Guards in uniform jade and silver armor stood on both sides of the gate. Others occupied the watchtowers above, bows encased in shimmering green light resting beside them. They were clearly trained and disciplined, but their expressions changed instantly as Lin Mu’s group approached.

The guard captain stepped forward and gave a deep bow. "Honored guests, welcome. The Patriarch has instructed us to await your arrival. Please follow us."

Meng Bai blinked and whispered, "Are we guests or foreign royalty?"

Cattaleya smacked the back of his head lightly. "Shut it and enjoy the respect while it lasts."

Elyon chuckled behind them, tail swaying lazily.

The group followed the guards through the massive front gate. As it closed behind them, they stepped into a world unlike any other city they had visited.

The outer grounds of the Dongxu Clan were filled with carefully arranged gardens, each landscaped to perfection. Gravel paths wound through rock formations that seemed naturally sculpted, yet each rock radiated faint Dao energy. Ancient trees with jade-laced bark spread their branches like umbrellas, shading areas where younger clan members trained.

Lin Mu felt the air change the moment they entered. The Earth Elemental Immortal Qi surged here more richly than outside the walls. But mixed within it was another type of energy, one he did not encounter often. Cooperative, pure, solid, and resonating faintly with stability. Jade Qi.

Daoist Chu inhaled deeply. "The entire clan grounds are a natural treasury of Earth and Jade cultivation. No wonder their members are so formidable."

Meng Bai activated his Spirit sense to observe the formations buried beneath the soil. He quickly grew overwhelmed. "Master... there are too many. I cannot even follow the pathways."

Lin Mu placed a hand on his shoulder. "You are not wrong. Most of these are high complexity arrays. Watch closely."

He pointed at a cluster of stones placed seemingly at random near a pond.

"That is a Qi gathering node. Notice the faint shine? That is Jade Qi condensation. It merges with Earth Qi flowing from the rock formations, creating a dual layered foundation for cultivation."

Meng Bai nodded quickly, absorbing the words.

Daoist Chu meanwhile was practically sparkling with joy.

He muttered like an academic discovering an ancient scripture. "Qi amplification array there, defensive fortification there, and look at that. A reflective barrier array to redirect enemy attacks. The Dongxu clan is truly wealthy. And paranoid."

Lin Mu was more intrigued by the hidden depths. His Spatial Perception probed deeper and found an enormous network of Dao arrays layered far underground. He sensed Earth Dao Traces and Jade Dao Traces circulating in an extremely sophisticated pattern.

This was not the work of normal immortal formation masters.

Only Grandmaster Formation Masters with the right kind of Dao Embryo could create something like this.

Even more surprising was that the array recognized the presence of Dongxu Ning and Dongxu Wang’s signatures. It reacted subtly as Lin Mu’s group passed, letting them know it was an array only the main bloodline could activate to its full potential.

He murmured, "This array can harmonize Dao Traces for cultivation or channel them into offensive capabilities. Impressive."

Cattaleya shrugged. "Looks expensive."

Meng Bai nodded. "Very expensive."

Elyon added softly, "And very dangerous. I do not think even a squad of fifth and sixth tribulation experts led by a Seventh Tribulation Stage Immortal could breach this place."

Lin Mu agreed.

A few minutes later, the group passed beyond the beautiful gardens and into the inner circle of the clan grounds. Ahead of them stood a path lined with carved jade pillars, each depicting past patriarchs and matriarchs. The final courtyard opened ahead of them like a stage.

And on that stage stood what looked like the entire Dongxu Clan.

A crowd of hundreds had gathered. Clan elders, core members, branch family members, servants and even younger disciples all stood lined up formally. The Patriarch, Dongxu Wang, waited at the center dressed in ceremonial jade robes. Dongxu Ning stood beside him, looking both excited and slightly nervous.

At the sight of Lin Mu’s group approaching, the entire clan cupped their fists and bowed deeply.

"Welcome, honored guests of the Dongxu Clan!" their voices echoed loudly.
