Chapter 3421: Cattaleya’s Streak

Chapter 3421: Cattaleya’s Streak

Cattaleya’s opponent stepped forward soon after. He was a classic body cultivator, nearly three meters tall, muscles bulging under his sleeveless armor. His aura marked him at the second tribulation stage of the immortal realm.

He cracked his knuckles and shouted, "Woman, I will show you what real strength means!"

Cattaleya smiled politely and replied, "Good. I hope you are durable."

The referee signaled the start.

The man charged with a war bellow and raised his fist, manifesting a defensive barrier over his skin.

Cattaleya raised one hand, flicked her finger lightly, and the sound of a sonic boom echoed through the arena.

BOOM

WHOOSH

The man flew out of the ring like a meteor, crashing straight into the defensive array protecting the audience. He bounced off it like a ragdoll and fell unconscious immediately.

The crowd roared so loudly the stadium shook.

"Cattaleya! Cattaleya!"

"One Flick Woman!"

"Invincible!"

Meng Bai just shook his head. "He never stood a chance."

Dongxu Ning chuckled. "That is what happens when one tries to flirt with death."

The referee’s voice cracked as he announced the victory. "Winner, Cattaleya Duskthorn. Will contestant continue for a consecutive battle?"

Cattaleya shouted, "Send the next one!"

And so the massacre began...

Her second opponent came in swinging a giant immortal axe. A single flick sent him into the sky.

Her third opponent used a defensive iron bell treasure. She flicked him so hard the bell cracked.

Her fourth opponent tried to surrender early, but Cattaleya’s flick arrived faster than the referee’s call.

Her fifth opponent was a Qi cultivator with a bow. Cattaleya flicked the arrow mid air so it pierced its own archer by accident.

Her tenth opponent created three illusory beasts. All three were flicked out of the arena before their master could blink.

The spectators screamed themselves hoarse.

Daoist Chu muttered, "At this rate the tournament will end in a week."

By the end of the first hour, Cattaleya had defeated one hundred opponents.

By the end of the fourth hour, she had surpassed one thousand.

By the end of the sixth hour, her streak had crossed two thousand.

The crowd was no longer cheering out of excitement but out of disbelief that bordered on awe.

Some spectators even knelt and prayed jokingly, calling her the Goddess of Flicks.

Meng Bai slumped back in his seat. "I think she broke the spirit of the entire bracket."

Dongxu Ning nodded in agreement. "Look at the announcer. Even he is trembling."

The referee’s voice was cracked and hoarse. "C... Cattaleya Duskthorn wins again. Consecutive victory number... two thousand and thirty four."

Even Lin Mu, who had expected Cattaleya to dominate, found himself blinking at the sheer scale of the carnage.

Cattaleya herself looked completely unaffected. She was not even sweating, not even slightly out of breath. She stood in the center of the ruined stage with her hands on her hips, smiling like she had just finished a morning jog.

Her voice echoed again.

"Next!"

And the stadium shook with thunderous applause.

Cattaleya’s massacre continued far beyond what even the most optimistic spectator imagined. After her initial surge of two thousand victories, people thought she might stop at three thousand.

When she crossed five thousand, the announcer nearly fainted. When she crossed seven thousand, the Martial Fist King sect elders began arriving in person, descending into the observation pavilions that were normally reserved for final rounds.

By the time she passed ten thousand consecutive victories, half the city had gathered in or around the Middle Knuckle Stadium to watch the phenomenon known as the One Flick Woman.

And yet the woman in question looked as calm as if she were casually practicing her finger exercises.

Cattaleya fought for twelve straight hours.

Twelve uninterrupted hours that turned the arena into a rotating door for defeated contestants. Bodies flew in all directions. Some landed in the ring. Some landed in the spectator barrier formations. One even flew so high he did not come down for nearly ten seconds.

A few had to be fished out of the river that bordered the city plaza when the defeated person ended up breaking out of a crack in the barrier that had formed from Catta’s nonstop launches.

Every time the referee announced, "Victory, Cattaleya Duskthorn," the crowd erupted with the same level of excitement as if they were witnessing a legend forming in real time.

Which, admittedly, they were.

But it was not injury nor exhaustion that finally stopped Cattaleya at one in the morning.

No, it was something far more dangerous.

Hunger.

Cattaleya flicked her ten thousand sixty seventh opponent, a spear wielding immortal, straight through four layers of barrier arrays and sent him rolling into the healing ward. She stood there, shook her hand once as if brushing dust away, and blinked.

Then she placed a hand over her stomach.

"I am hungry."

The crowd laughed at first. They thought she was joking. But then she turned to the referee with absolute seriousness.

"Referee, can I go eat something and come back to continue my streak?"

The man, pale and trembling from twelve hours of nonstop shouting, nearly choked on his own saliva. "N-no. That is not permissible. Once you step out, your turn ends. You will need to wait for your next assigned match time."

Cattaleya puffed her cheeks and crossed her arms. "No fair. I could have continued. I was just getting warmed up."

The referee wanted to cry. The spectators alternated between laughter and stunned silence. The immortal healers prepared themselves for another wave of casualties if she suddenly changed her mind.

But Cattaleya accepted the ruling and reluctantly walked out of the ring.

Her departures were usually quiet affairs. Today, her exit caused the stadium to shake with cheers, applause, chants, and people waving banners. She became more than a contestant; she became a spectacle, a phenomenon, a force of nature that the Martial Fist King Sect could not ignore.

And her streak did not just impress the crowd.

It shattered every historical record the tournament possessed!
