Chapter 3432: Cattaleya Versus Daoist Black Leg
The pressure Daoist Black Leg exuded with each slow step was undeniable. Each placement of his foot made the stage vibrate as if the ground itself feared his legs.
The crowd began to argue loudly.
"He looks weak!"
"That is Daoist Black Leg! He nearly reached the finals last time!"
"That was four thousand years ago! Look at him, he looks like a stick!"
"You fool! Slim does not mean weak in body cultivation!"
On Lin Mu’s side, Elyon sniffed the air. "The black essence around his body... it smells like compressed Immortal Essence mixed with the aura of his cultivation technique. He has broken and reforged his bones dozens of times."
Lin Mu nodded thoughtfully. "An extreme-path cultivator. Many lose their lives following such methods."
Cattaleya planted her feet and looked him over before laughing outright.
"What in the world happened to you?" she said. "Did your cultivation technique eat your muscles?"
The thin man chuckled without offense and bowed lightly.
"And what in the world happened to you?" he replied. "Did your physique eat your femininity?"
The audience roared with laughter.
Daoist Black Leg looked amused as his eyes sharpened. "Woman, you look like you could throw mountains. But your arms look like they could uproot them as well."
Cattaleya grinned ferally. "And your legs look like they could break if kicked by a kid."
Daoist Black Leg chuckled again. "Let us see."
The referee announced the start.
The moment the gong sounded, both fighters moved.
Daoist Black Leg lifted one leg high, far higher than any normal human joint should allow. His foot rose above his head like a massive guillotine, and around the limb flickered a strange, inky-black Immortal essence. It coiled like smoke, yet pulsed with weight... terrifying weight.
It wasn’t the normal shimmering Immortal essence most fighters displayed.
No. This was something much denser. The pressure pressed down on the arena like a massive beast crouching over it.
Lin Mu felt the air tighten.
"That is marrow compressed into essence form," he murmured. "He forced his marrow’s energy outside the bones. A forbidden method."
Daoist Chu’s eyes widened. "No wonder he looks like that. He must have sacrificed most of his flesh to strengthen the skeletal base."
The audience went silent in awe as Daoist Black Leg swung down the massive strike.
Cattaleya didn’t dodge.
She raised her fist, her bare fist and met the descending leg head on.
BOOOOOM
The impact shook the entire stadium.
Wind blasted outward, forcing the barrier arrays to flare. Dust exploded from the arena floor, swirling in a shockwave. Many spectators grabbed onto their seats as the ground trembled beneath them.
It was the first time Cattaleya had been stopped in a direct clash.
Even Lin Mu leaned forward slightly.
Daoist Chu’s eyes widened. "He matched her raw force..."
Meng Bai swallowed nervously. "This man... is dangerous."
Elyon exhaled sharply. "He strengthened his legs beyond reason. That is not normal marrow resonance. He is manipulating the Dao trace of the Mammoth Dao."
Cattaleya, however...
Was grinning.
Actually grinning like a child who had been given her favorite toy.
"Finally, someone worthy."
Her blood pumped with excitement as she stepped forward, forcing Daoist Black Leg to step back. The man dragged his foot along the ground, gouging a shallow trench several meters long.
The crowd roared again.
Daoist Black Leg steadied himself and flashed a thin smile.
"Not bad," he said. "I expected your flick to be your strongest attack. But your fist is not lacking either."
Cattaleya cracked her knuckles again. "I have been waiting for someone to block me like that."
Daoist Black Leg lowered his stance. His thin frame hunched slightly, and the black essence thickened around his legs until it looked like he wore boots made of shadows.
His voice deepened.
"Fissure Stomp."
He took one step.
And the stage cracked.
Not a small crack, no. A massive web of fissures spread across the ring like the ground was being torn apart by an earthquake.
The audience gasped.
Cattaleya’s eyes sparkled.
She moved instantly, launching her fist toward his torso.
Daoist Black Leg pivoted and his leg whipped around, colliding with her fist again.
BOOM
This time, the shockwave was even louder.
The two split apart, skidding several meters backward.
Daoist Black Leg pressed a hand to his chest. "You are ridiculous."
Cattaleya grinned. "You are fun."
Their auras began to rise.
Daoist Black Leg’s legs glowed black like forged obsidian.
Cattaleya’s muscles bulged slightly as her Immortal essence surged through her meridians.
The crowd went wild.
"This is an actual fight!"
"One Flick Woman finally has an equal!"
"Daoist Black Leg is stronger than before!"
Daoist Chu exhaled. "This match will be violent."
Lin Mu simply smiled.
This was what true body cultivators lived for.
And both fighters were only just getting warmed up.
Daoist Black Leg’s foot swept out again, carving a crescent fissure through the arena floor. Cattaleya planted her heel and countered with her fist, creating a crater that swallowed the fissure whole. Their blows collided a heartbeat later, the impact blasting waves of force across the stadium.
The crowd leaned forward as the two figures blurred in and out of focus, their movements too fast for most immortal senses to follow. Only powerful elders and Immortal cultivators could clearly see the exchange.
Daoist Black Leg struck with his legs in sharp arcs that howled like falling meteors. Every kick contained the compressed marrow force of the Mammoth Dao, giving his limbs unnatural durability and power.
His thin legs became weapons that shook the very stage with every collision.
Cattaleya met them with raw force, every punch bursting with muscle power that rippled visibly beneath her skin. Energy cracked around her knuckles each time her fist landed. Despite her casual demeanor, every move was precise, every angle calculated through instinct honed through millenniums of pure combat.
The fight raged across the stage for minutes that turned into half an hour.
They crossed paths dozens of times, each impact louder than the last.
