Chapter 4000: Dual Disasters!

GUSH!

Far beyond the plains, the sea began to move. At first, the waves became restless, then they began rising. Ten meters, turned into fifty, then hundred. The distant ocean churned violently and the sound reached the sect members like the roar of an awakening beast.

The waves continued rising and reached two hundred meters, then five hundred, eight hundred before the water turned into a colossal wall. It was a tsunami more than a thousand meters tall that stretched across the horizon!

The disciples stared in horror.

"Run!" Several began retreating instinctively.

Then they realized the enormous wall of water was not moving toward them. It simply remained there as if waiting for its master’s command.

Next, Lin Mu’s other hand descended and the earth responded.

RUMBLE!

The entire region shook and this tremor was several times stronger than the earlier ones. Fissures tore through the ground and mountains in the distance trembled. The earth itself seemed to awaken beneath everyone’s feet.

Then enormous plates of stone began shifting and they collided.

BOOM!

Another plate rose and it slammed against the first.

BOOM!

Rock folded upward as massive hills emerged and those hills continued growing. From one hundred meters, to three, then five hundred. Soon multiple peaks reached toward the heavens!

The earth had transformed into a landscape of newly born mountains.

The disciples stared in absolute silence as before them stood two disasters.

A thousand-meter tsunami and a range of enormous mountains.

Lin Mu stood between them while his crimson aura flowed from his body and extended into both phenomena.

SHUA SHUA

The Immortal Essence entered the water and the mountains. The elemental forces began changing as the tsunami stopped behaving like ordinary water and the mountains stopped behaving like ordinary stone.

They became extensions of Lin Mu’s will!

The water wall shifted and its surface formed enormous spiraling currents. The mountains moved and their peaks angled toward Daoist Bone Ruler. The entire battlefield suddenly felt as if it had come alive.

Daoist Bone Ruler stared at the scene.

His previous certainty had completely collapsed. He had seen techniques capable of creating mountains. He had seen cultivators manipulate rivers. He had even seen powerful Immortals summon natural disasters.

But this was different.

Lin Mu was controlling the earth and water on an enormous scale while simultaneously infusing both with his own Immortal Essence and vitality. The tsunami became a weapon and so did the mountains.

The most stunning of all was that both were connected to Lin Mu.

The old man standing between them seemed less like a cultivator and more like the master of two disasters. Lin Mu slowly raised both hands. The crimson lake around him surged, while the mountains trembled and the thousand-meter tsunami roared.

The air itself seemed to shake in anticipation.

Lin Mu looked toward Daoist Bone Ruler.

His smile carried the arrogance of an ancient elder who had finally found a junior worth teaching. "Watch carefully, junior."

The crimson Immortal Essence surged into the mountains and the sea. The two disasters responded simultaneously as the tsunami rose higher and the mountains shifted.

Then Lin Mu’s voice thundered across the plains. "Shifting Earth, Churning Seas, Dual Refinement Art."

His eyes flashed. "Zhenyu Form."

The mountains and the sea erupted with terrifying power. "Dual Disaster!"

Daoist Bone Ruler finally felt fear.

It was a strange sensation for someone who had lived for countless years, survived tribulations, fought enemies across countless battlefields, and climbed all the way into the Transcendent Immortal Realm.

Fear had visited him many times throughout his life, yet every time it had been accompanied by a clear reason. There had always been an enemy, an obstacle, a tribulation, or some unknown existence capable of threatening his life.

This time, however, the fear came from something far more primal. He looked at the enormous wall of water towering above him, then at the mountains that continued rising from the earth around him. His expression became solemn.

The sea was moving and the mountains were moving. The entire battlefield seemed to have become a living creature. Daoist Bone Ruler could sense the terrifying force contained within both.

His eyes narrowed and he understood immediately that taking this attack head-on would be foolish. His body might be powerful. His cultivation might have reached the Transcendent Immortal Realm.

His Bone Ruler was a Peak Immortal Weapon, and his Dao Embryo was something that had taken him countless years to nurture. Yet even with all of that, every instinct he possessed was screaming at him to defend himself.

There was simply too much power.

The earth beneath his feet had already become strange and it was as though the mountains had gained consciousness. They were connected to Lin Mu’s aura, and that aura was spreading through the stone like blood through flesh.

The enormous peaks continued to rise, twisting as they grew. Their surfaces cracked and shifted, while countless pieces of rock detached themselves and began hovering around the main mountain bodies.

At the same time, the tsunami continued growing from a thousand meters, to two thousand and then even higher.

The wall of water stretched across the horizon, its upper edge disappearing into the clouds. Immortal Essence and vitality had completely infused the enormous mass of water, causing every droplet to carry terrifying destructive force.

Daoist Bone Ruler’s pupils contracted.

He had fought against water-based techniques before and he had fought against earth-based techniques before. He had even fought cultivators who specialized in combining multiple elements.

But this was different as the water and earth were behaving like extensions of Lin Mu’s body.

Knowing he had to act now, the old man’s hand moved.

WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH

Dozens of talismans flew from his storage treasure, then hundreds more appeared. In the blink of an eye, the space around Daoist Bone Ruler was filled with golden flashes.

"Activate!" His voice shook the surrounding space.

The first layer of defense appeared and a vast transparent barrier of pure Immortal Qi formed around him, its surface covered with countless rotating formations.
