Mesmerizing Ghost Doctor

Chapter 5057: Treatment

Chapter 5057: Treatment

Within the Immortal Island, many treasures like night pearls provided illumination, though they were usually covered with cloth to conceal their radiance when not in use. Upon entering the room, Mi’er removed the cover from the night pearl lamp. Instantly, its light flooded the entire chamber.

Stepping out of the room, Mi’er smiled. “Young Master Yuan, if you need anything, just tell the celestial maids. Or you can send them to find me—I’m usually in the kitchen. If you’d like to explore, just ask a maid to guide you.”

As she spoke, she approached the table and, seeing his blindness, asked, “Can you manage your meal on your own? Should I call a maid to assist you?”

“I can manage,” Yuan Jing replied softly.

“Very well, I’ll leave you now! A maid will come in shortly to clear the table.” With that, Mi’er turned and departed.

After she left, Yuan Jing ate his meal alone. He ate slowly and not much. Once the maid had cleared the dishes, he returned to his room to rest.

Over the next two days, though he could move about the Immortal Island, his blindness kept him indoors. He remained in his courtyard, practicing meditation and sitting quietly.

Two days later, Feng Jiu arrived at Yuan Jing’s courtyard. As soon as she entered, she saw him seated within.

Though Yuan Jing couldn’t hear, his hearing was exceptionally keen. He tilted his ear slightly, listening to the soft, measured footsteps approaching. Rising to his feet, he bowed in the direction of the sound: “Phoenix Empress.”

Feng Jiu glanced at him and said, “I’ve processed the red-eyed spirit’s fish eyes into a medicinal liquid. I’ve brought it for you to try.” With that, she stepped toward his room and added, “Come inside.”

Yuan Jing paused briefly before following her inside. Once in the room, he was instructed to lie down on the bed.

Watching Yuan Jing lie there, his hands nervously clutching the bedsheets, Feng Jiu chuckled softly. “Relax. I won’t harm you.”

Yuan Jing flashed a faint smile, his body gradually relaxing. He felt her examining his eyes and taking his pulse. After a moment, her fingers gently parted his eyelids, and a cool liquid dripped into his eyes. He felt a slight sting, but that sting was quickly soothed by the liquid’s coolness, gradually giving way to a deep sense of comfort.

“How does it feel?” Feng Jiu asked.

“A slight sting at first, then coolness. Now my eyes feel very comfortable,” Yuan Jing replied truthfully.

“Good. Blink gently to help the solution seep into your eye sockets,” Feng Jiu instructed, dripping two more drops into his other eye. Simultaneously, she channeled the Blue Lotus Qi through her palm, sending specks of azure light accompanied by pure spirit energy into his eyes.

“Now it feels warm… and a bit itchy,” Yuan Jing continued, describing the peculiar sensations in his eyes.

Feng Jiu remained silent, quietly channeling the Blue Lotus energy to complement the medicinal solution in his treatment. After about half an incense stick’s time, she withdrew her hand. By then, Yuan Jing had already fallen asleep, his breathing slow and peaceful.

Glancing at the sleeping figure, Feng Jiu raised an eyebrow. Without further comment, she stood and walked out.

With the elixir seeping in, combined with the spirit energy and the essence of the Blue Lotus, no wonder he’d drifted off in such comfort.

Stepping outside, Feng Jiu headed toward the main hall. Finding few children inside, she spotted Mi’er carrying pastries and asked, “Where are the other three?”
