Chapter 5069: That's The Azure Emperor

Chapter 5069: That’s The Azure Emperor

The cultivator who had been pulled back saw the sharp blade flash past his throat. The fierce killing intent made his face go pale, and a wave of dread washed over him.

Had he not dodged just now, he would likely have met his end right then and there!

He instantly shed his arrogance and carelessness, his entire being becoming alert. Just then, he saw the little girl lunge forward again, her dagger striking relentlessly at his vital points.

Hao’er and Muchen also moved in that instant. There were about a dozen cultivators closing in, and with their strength, dealing with them should pose no problem.

Muchen swung his Dragon Abyss Sword, unleashing a burst of sharp sword qi from its blade. The two approaching cultivators instinctively stumbled back under the onslaught.

Azure Emperor stood there, arms behind his back, observing without intervening. He watched the three of them join forces against the dozen or so opponents, studying their skills and combat prowess. He silently nodded in approval.

Talent truly was paramount. All three possessed extraordinary innate gifts, allowing them to cultivate faster than ordinary cultivators with no shortage of comprehension. Such combat strength at such a young age meant they would undoubtedly excel as they matured.

He stood there, his gaze seemingly fixed on their battle, yet his thoughts drifted elsewhere. Only when a figure roared and swung a sword at him did he snap back to attention.

“Die!”

Perhaps it was the vivid crimson blood of the corpses on the ground stinging his eyes, or perhaps it was witnessing the three children kill without so much as a flicker of an eyelid. In that moment, in a flash of madness, the cultivator swung his sword at the man standing motionless, hands behind his back.

“Dare to attack my master? You seek death!”

Yue’er spun around, her anger flaring at the sight of the cultivator striking toward their master. Though she knew he couldn’t harm their master, the act itself enraged her.

Her dagger flipped to her other hand as a whip shot out with a hiss. It coiled around the descending sword, yanking it back and flinging it far away. Simultaneously, the whip snapped back, whipping toward the man with a sharp crack.

“You dared attack my master! Hmph!”

The youthful voice carried anger, accompanied by the whoosh of the whip cutting through the air and the sharp crack as it struck the cultivator.

Further away, those merely observing the scene watched the events unfold, each feeling a chill rise from their feet, straight to their hearts.

Though they too coveted that ancient divine sword, they knew all too well that the man with the three children was no ordinary person. Thus, when the other cultivators closed in, they held back, merely wanting to see if those cultivators could wrest the Dragon Abyss Sword from the group.

Unexpectedly, the man didn’t even need to act. His three disciples alone utterly crushed the dozen or so cultivators.

The blood on the ground and the wide-eyed terror in the cultivators’ eyes as they died spoke volumes of their final moments of fear and regret. Simultaneously, it delivered a profound shock and awe to the onlookers.

“Whoa!”

Suddenly, one cultivator sucked in a sharp breath, eyes wide as he stared at the whip the little girl had swung. He cried out in disbelief, “That’s the Ancient Divine Whip! That… that’s the Azure Emperor!”

As the cry escaped his lips, the cultivator felt his legs go weak, and he collapsed, slumping to the ground.
