Chapter 5133: Distracted

Chapter 5133: DistractedEditor: Misty Cloud Translations

The moment the barrier resealed, three figures simultaneously slammed into it. Instead of escaping, they were flung back. Their immense speed sent their bodies flying dozens of meters away.

"Damn it!"

Seeing the sealed barrier, one of the Great Emperors cursed under his breath, his face darkening. Realizing escape was impossible, he drew a long sword and fixed his gaze on Feng Jiu, preparing for battle.

The other two Great Emperors exchanged glances upon realizing their predicament. "Since escape is impossible," one declared, "battle remains our only path. This conflict has dragged on long enough. Today, united as three, we shall slay Feng Jiu. Otherwise, it is her death or ours!"

All three knew this day would end with either Feng Jiu’s death or their own. Thus, they would give their absolute all in this battle.

For no other reason than to survive.

Feng Jiu’s lips curved into a faint smile as she waved to Song Mi’er and the Contract Beasts, signaling, "You all, retreat to a safe distance."

Seeing this, Tie Song led Yueniang to a safe distance. Song Mi’er followed suit, and the contract beasts exchanged glances before retreating as well.

At that moment, Du Fan and his group arrived nearby. Their sudden appearance drew the attention of Song Mi’er and the others. They glanced around, their eyes darting between the newcomers, surprise evident in their expressions.

Du Fan glanced at the three of them. His Master had mentioned them before, so he knew they were allies. He gave them a nod.

"Today truly is a good day."

Feng Jiu spoke slowly and deliberately. As she spoke, the Blue Edge appeared in her hand. She looked at the three of them, her voice cold and laced with murderous intent. "This saves me the trouble of hunting each of you down individually."

"Feng Jiu! Your arrogance knows no bounds! We are all Great Emperor-level powerhouses. Do you truly believe you alone can kill all three of us?" Emperor Dongyao roared, his eyes fixed on her, filled with cold, murderous intent.

"Emperor Dongyao?" Feng Jiu glanced at him, her cold smile curling. "I happen to have something I’d like to show you. I’m sure you’ll find it quite familiar."

As soon as the words left her mouth, she called out, "Leng Hua."

"Yes!" Leng Hua stepped forward, flicking his wrist. An object shot from his hand, spinning through the air.

"Whoa! The Primordial Treasure Umbrella! How is this possible? Impossible!" Emperor Dongyao’s eyes narrowed, as if witnessing something horrifying. He stared in disbelief at the treasure umbrella unfurling and spinning in that man’s hands.

This umbrella had once been his own, a treasure he had left for his descendants before ascending. How could it have fallen into Feng Jiu’s hands?

"Whoosh!"

Yet, in that very instant, while he stood stunned and incredulous, a bitterly cold sword qi erupted violently. The icy blade energy from Feng Jiu’s Blue Edge was swift as lightning, fierce as a frigid wind. It sliced through the air with a sharp whoosh, striking directly toward the Great Emperor Dongyao.

"Watch out!"

A Great Emperor standing nearby shouted the warning. Feng Jiu’s power was too formidable; only by joining forces could the three of them possibly gain the upper hand. Thus, before Feng Jiu was slain, they were all in the same boat. If one fell first, it would spell disaster for the remaining two.

Thus, when he saw the Great Emperor Dongyao momentarily distracted by the umbrella and Feng Jiu’s sword energy hurtling toward him, he instantly darted forward.

"Arghhhh! Ughhh!"

No matter how swift he was, he couldn’t outpace the sword in Feng Jiu’s hand. In that instant, blood spattered.
