"Let’s go! I’ll see you off." Feng Jiu gestured for them to depart immediately.

"Yes." The group bowed in response before heading outside.

Feng Jiu followed them out. With a flick of her wrist, a vortex appeared, transporting each of them to their respective destinations before she dismissed it with another wave.

With her prowess, she could reach any corner of the Upper Immortal Realm in the shortest time. Even for Monarchs, even utilizing teleportation arrays and their flight speeds would likely consume considerable time.

"Master, what do you need me to do?" Leng Shuang stood beside her, inquiring.

Feng Jiu smiled, glancing at her. "Just stay by my side. I haven’t handled affairs in years. I need to see what’s unfolded during that time. As for what comes next, we simply await Mo Ze’s ascension."

Now that those three potential threats were eliminated, regarding Mo Ze’s ascension, she only needed to keep an eye on things from above at the appointed time, ensuring no one sabotaged him. As for the affairs of those three territories, Du Fan and the others would handle them—saving her quite a bit of trouble!

"Go tell Mi’er to prepare some food and send it to the study." Feng Jiu patted Leng Shuang’s shoulder before leaving first.

"Understood." Leng Shuang replied, then headed toward the kitchen.

As for Tie Song and Yueniang, Tie Song’s specialty lay in weapon forging. Thus, he remained uninvolved in these affairs, returning to the back mountain to focus solely on his craft of tempering iron and crafting weapons.

He understood that his Master had rescued them and brought them here precisely for him to forge superior weapons. Forging was his sole true talent.

Three days later

Amidst a cluster of floating Immortal Islands, Leng Hua handled affairs within a palace. This had once been the immortal island of one of the great emperors. After that emperor’s demise, the divine soul spirit energy here gradually dissipated. Since arriving, Leng Hua had used the phoenix seal given by his Master to re-establish divine soul power throughout the realm.

In the grand hall of the palace, a table held documents detailing matters requiring his attention from various regions. After reviewing the final file, he called out, "Elder He."

Elder He, one of the four Monarchs who accompanied him, was currently playing chess with another Monarch in a pavilion not far from the palace.

"Young Master Leng is summoning you," the Monarch opposite Elder He remarked after placing a piece.

Hearing this, Elder He’s expression darkened slightly. Yet, he pretended not to hear, holding his piece as he pondered his next move.

Within the palace halls, Leng Hua emerged at a measured pace. Observing the two men engrossed in their game, his gaze flickered briefly before he inquired in a gentle tone, "Elder He, have you completed the task I entrusted to you?"

"It’s merely a matter of relaying orders to the Monarchs across the domain. I’ll attend to it once this game is finished," he replied without lifting his head, his eyes fixed intently on the board as he held the piece, his voice tinged with impatience.

Leng Hua always presented himself as refined and courteous, speaking in gentle tones with a perpetual smile on his face. His entire demeanor resembled a quiet stream—flowing smoothly, gentle and tranquil, lacking the turbulent force of the sea or the majestic rush of a waterfall plunging from heights.

Not a single trace of sharpness could be found anywhere on him, making him seem like a soft target anyone could easily manipulate.

Yet, could anyone close to Feng Jiu possibly be simple?
