Chapter 6435 Law Power

Chapter 6435 Law Power

Heaven and earth turned pitch-black. The six senses vanished, leaving only a suffocating void—like an ordinary person suddenly stripped of sight and sound.

And within that darkness lurked a deadly enemy. Such a grim situation would trigger one’s sense of terror to the limit.

“Within the Shadow race’s natural domain, all your power is stripped away. All that awaits you is death.” Xiao Li’s icy voice drifted through the darkness like the murmur of a death god.

Long Chen extended his hand. A clump of flames flared to life, but a strange force instantly devoured the light it released. The fire still burned, yet only its heat could be felt, not its glow. It was really bizarre.

“It’s useless,” said Xiao Li. “This is my Shadow race’s domain. Only a Divine Sovereign who comprehends shadow laws can control it. Though I am not a Divine Sovereign, my talent and bloodline allow me to unleash this Shadow Domain at the One Merger realm. Dying in my domain is the same as dying to a Sovereign. You should feel honored.”

Xiao Li’s voice drifted through the air with no set location. Within the darkness, it felt like he was standing right behind you, waiting to launch a lethal attack.

An arrow hissed past Long Chen’s ear, its wind brushing his hair. It wasn’t from Xiao Li, but from one of his subordinates. They deliberately missed just to test Long Chen.

“The power of law... interesting,” Long Chen murmured calmly.

This dark domain didn’t merely cloak the world in darkness; it rejected his flames and lightning altogether. It was far beyond the dark domains he had seen before. If Xiao Li spoke the truth, this was the power of law itself—something only Divine Sovereigns should possess.

There were only two waves of breaking this domain. One was to possess a similar law power, while the other was to kill the user. There was no third path.

Suddenly, an arrow appeared, and it flew straight at the back of Long Chen’s shoulder. It was completely silent until it was only a few feet from him. As it was so fast, there was almost no chance of reacting to it.𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖

However, before the arrow could reach Long Chen, he turned ever so slightly, causing it to fly past him.

The next moment, more arrows flew toward Long Chen, and he repeatedly dodged them. His movement art was so fast he looked like an illusion.

When the final arrow missed, his afterimages faded like smoke.

“Such reaction speed is heaven-defying,” Xiao Li said from the darkness. “To dodge when the arrows are mere feet away... Long Chen, it seems I underestimated you.”

Within his domain, Xiao Li could see everything. The domain’s laws suppressed Long Chen alone, while his subordinates were unaffected.

“But it changes nothing. One word from me, and tens of thousands of arrows will turn you into a hedgehog. I’ll give you one last chance. Hand over the Heaven Earth Cauldron, and I’ll spare your life.”

“You barely reached the One Merger realm and grasped the barest trace of laws. It’s too early for you to be arrogant,” snorted Long Chen.

“Fine,” Xiao Li hissed. “Then die!”

Without sound or warning, countless arrows materialized around Long Chen. This time, every member of the Shadow Divine Owl race joined the assault.

“This Shadow energy merely suppresses the six senses,” Long Chen said.

As he formed a series of one-handed seals, his violet Sovereign flames erupted, shaping into the Heaven Blocking Shield. Arrows struck the barrier, embedding deep but unable to pierce through. The sharp arrowheads were only a few inches from Long Chen.

The flaming wall flickered as more and more arrows piled against it.

Then, Long Chen’s seal changed, and his violet Sovereign flames surged, burning with blinding intensity.

At this sight, Xiao Li’s startled cry rang out in the darkness.

“Defend!”

“I’ll return these arrows to you!” Long Chen shouted.

All of a sudden, the arrows stuck on the barrier shot back in every direction with an explosion of his violet Sovereign flames.

Screams of pain echoed through the dark, and the scent of blood filled the air.

“Retreat!” someone cried.

But before he could escape, a massive hand tore through space and seized his throat. A vine shot into his body, and the pain made him scream in agony.

Using the man’s body as a guide, Long Chen charged straight toward Xiao Li’s position. Xiao Li’s eyes widened. Long Chen had hijacked his subordinate’s vision to find him.

“God Slaying Cross!”

Violet Sovereign flames gathered in Long Chen’s palm, forming a blazing cross. Even before his hand struck, the surrounding space had collapsed beneath the force.

Xiao Li’s face paled. Never had he seen anyone below the One Merger realm wield such terrifying Sovereign flame energy. Knowing he couldn’t dodge, he gripped one end of his golden bow and thrust the other end toward Long Chen’s palm.

The bow bent violently under the impact. Xiao Li then kicked the bow’s body, forcing it to rebound and twist away from him.

As it straightened, a ray of divine light shot from its end, grazing Long Chen’s head. The beam pierced through the void and tore open a rift in the Shadow Domain—and through that wound, light poured in.

Xiao Li’s reaction was lightning-fast. He had used the bow’s elasticity to absorb part of Long Chen’s power and channel it into a counterattack. With his power mixed into it, he had sought to kill Long Chen in one blow. However, he hadn’t expected Long Chen to realize his plan so quickly. Since the attack contained his own energy, it pierced the domain itself.

The shot had nearly killed Long Chen. Xiao Li’s bow was as cunning as it was deadly. Had Long Chen not pulled back at the last instant, he would have been struck.

As light seeped back into the world, Long Chen raised his fist. Violet Sovereign flames gathered around his fist.

“Let’s see if your so-called law power can withstand a punch from me!”
