Chapter 1283: Pursuing Gu Yuena Again.

Chapter 1283: Chapter 1283: Pursuing Gu Yuena Again.

When Gu Yuena awoke from her sleep, she felt incredibly refreshed and her chest felt expansive. She let out a long breath and gently stood up from the ground.

Walking to the window, she looked outside. Gazing at the distant lake and feeling the rich presence of life, she suddenly realized that this sense of relaxation and relief seemed to be her first since birth.

This feeling is truly wonderful.

Stretching her body, her delicate figure revealing graceful curves, she turned and walked towards the door, wanting to go out for a walk, perhaps around that lake. That would surely feel wonderful.

Opening the door, she was surprised to find Tang Wulin standing outside, holding a tray with steaming steamed buns, braised meat, porridge, eggs, and other ordinary foods.

The rising steam carried a unique aroma that instantly gave Gu Yuena a strong sense of hunger.

“Breakfast?” Tang Wulin said with a beaming smile. His handsome features were somehow enhanced by the presence of the food.

Gu Yuena’s brows knit slightly, “How long have you been here?”

“Not long, just a moment. Are you hungry?” While speaking, Tang Wulin stepped inside, and Gu Yuena didn’t stop him. The food on his tray was too tempting.

After closing the door behind her, Tang Wulin presented the tray to Gu Yuena, “Here you go.”

Looking at the two bowls of porridge on the tray, Gu Yuena glared at him, then suddenly picked up one bowl and drank it with a “gulp gulp gulp”.

“Take it easy, slow down.” Tang Wulin couldn’t help but chuckle.

After finishing one bowl of porridge, Gu Yuena picked up the other bowl, placed the empty one on Tang Wulin’s side, then grabbed a steamed bun and began to eat.

Under Tang Wulin’s astonished gaze, the breakfast for two was devoured in no time. Gu Yuena didn’t even leave a crumb of the steamed bun for him.

“Hmm, I’m full. You can go now.” Gu Yuena waved her hand dismissively.

Tang Wulin looked at the plate, then at her, and said with a sense of resignation, “You ate my portion too.”

Gu Yuena glanced at him, “Your portion? Where is it?”

Tang Wulin pointed at her belly, “You ate it!”

Gu Yuena retorted, “With your level of Cultivation, why do you need breakfast? Don’t you need it? Don’t waste food if you don’t need it. Out you go.” While talking, she pushed him out the door.

When the door closed behind Tang Wulin, he was still somewhat bewildered. What does my level of Cultivation have to do with anything? Can’t people with strong Cultivation eat? That’s not right! She’s about the same level of Cultivation as I am! How come she ate it all?

Looking at the empty plates and bowls on the tray in his hand, Tang Wulin couldn’t help but laugh and shake his head. She’s over ten thousand years old, and yet, why is she acting petulant with me?

But it doesn’t matter, I’m willing! At least she ate the food I brought her.

Having eaten her fill, Gu Yuena decided not to go out after all. She found that being full made one sleepy. So she leaned against the bed, sat on the meditation cushion, and before she knew it, she had fallen asleep again. She loved this feeling of complete relaxation too much.

Within the Sea God’s Pavilion, one cannot sense the passage of time outside, so when Gu Yuena woke up again, she had no idea how much time had passed in the outside world.

Lazily stretching, she immediately felt exceptionally comfortable all over, as if she had fully merged with the surrounding world, mastering the laws. If she wished, her divine consciousness could easily extend to every corner of this planet. But she didn’t want to, she didn’t even let her divine consciousness stretch outward, maintaining the state of an ordinary person.

“Knock, knock, knock,” just then, a knocking sound came from the door.

Gu Yuena blinked her eyes, stood up, and tidied up her slightly messy silver hair before walking to the door.

“Who is it?”

“It’s me.” Tang Wulin’s voice came from outside.

“What are you doing here again?” Gu Yuena said irritably.

“Delivering your meal! It’s noon; time to eat,” Tang Wulin replied helplessly. It seemed he had long forgotten that at their level of Cultivation, eating was not even necessary.

Gu Yuena was momentarily stunned, then instinctively opened the door. Sure enough, outside stood Tang Wulin, holding a slightly larger tray, which was laden with sumptuous dishes.

“Is it time for lunch already? That was fast! I only dozed off for a moment,” Gu Yuena murmured.

Suppressing a laugh, Tang Wulin said, “You didn’t just sleep right after breakfast and have only just woken up, did you?”

“Of course not. I’ve been awake for a while,” Gu Yuena immediately clarified for herself.

Tang Wulin walked into the room, set the tray on the ground, and gestured to Gu Yuena, “Can you still eat?”

“Of course.” Gu Yuena sat down unceremoniously opposite him, starting to eat heartily without even glancing at him.

This time, Tang Wulin had learned his lesson and immediately started to eat, racing her for the food. Both of them ate swiftly, and in just a moment, like the wind sweeping through leaves, they devoured all the food Tang Wulin had brought.

Looking up at Tang Wulin, Gu Yuena stared, “How can you still eat so much?”

Tang Wulin paused, “You remember when I used to eat a lot?”

Gu Yuena also paused, then shook her head repeatedly, “I don’t remember. I just felt like saying that.”

A ripple of something different gently stirred in his heart, Tang Wulin picked up a clean napkin and naturally wiped the corner of her mouth. Gu Yuena instinctively wanted to dodge, but for some reason, in that instant, she happened to catch Tang Wulin’s gaze.

His eyes were focused and tender, as if he were wiping the most precious thing in the world. Seeing his gaze, Gu Yuena naturally stopped her motion, letting him wipe her mouth.

Tang Wulin put down the napkin and said, “I’ll clean up first. You’ve slept for quite a while. Can we talk later? Don’t worry, we won’t talk about the past. Let’s talk about our son, is that okay?”

Gu Yuena’s eyebrows slightly furrowed, she looked at him and replied, “Alright.”

Tang Wulin carried the tray away, and after a short time, he returned to the room and closed the door.

For some reason, as Gu Yuena watched him walking towards her, she suddenly felt a bit nervous and shifted backward.

“Keep a three-meter distance from me,” Gu Yuena pointed to the cushion she had arranged opposite herself.

“Oh, okay!” Tang Wulin readily agreed, sitting down three meters away from her.

Seeing him maintain the distance, Gu Yuena breathed a sigh of relief, thinking that he couldn’t touch her from this distance.

The two sat facing each other, Tang Wulin gazing into Gu Yuena’s large purple eyes, his own eyes becoming increasingly tender. Gradually, the tenderness turned to fascination, and he subconsciously raised his hand as if he wanted to grasp something.

“What are you doing? Didn’t you say you wanted to talk?” Gu Yuena said warily.

“Oh, right. Let’s talk,” Tang Wulin snapped out of it and quickly said.

“I want to ask you, do you remember anything about giving birth to our son? Were you in human form or dragon form when it happened?” Tang Wulin asked curiously.

Gu Yuena looked bewildered and shook her head, “I don’t know! I was thawed out of ice. I was in human form then, I guess.”

Tang Wulin said, “I was found in the sea, washed ashore and rescued by someone. It was a girl who saved me. I couldn’t remember anything at the time, luckily she took care of me. Later, she said I was good-looking and suggested I become a celebrity. So, I gave it a shot and started singing.”

“A girl? Was she pretty?” Gu Yuena blurted out.
