Chapter 3775 - Yanri Shuang
"Curses!" Zhantian Feng tried to give chase for a while before watching Tianming board the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb. The ship then disappeared into the stars. Tianming's tiny form, coupled with Fiveway Blitzrun granted him unthinkable speed.
"I’m speechless! He's so good at running!"
To think that someone like Zhantian Feng, who stood at the peak of Wargod Haven, couldn't capture a mere slave. It was truly disheartening for him. He turned back and saw the cult members staring at him, flabbergasted. They’d thought that a super genius would be able to help them vent their frustrations, but Tianming had escaped anyway! It was so frustrating for them that their faces turned green. Zhantian Feng felt even more gloomy at the sight of the crowd.
How could my spinwheel ghoul be scared away?" He looked down at the hell-rings on his chest, shaking his head in confusion. That was the most unbelievable part of the whole day. If it wasn’t for that, he would have managed to catch Tianming, which also meant catching the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb.
"That purple-haired specter doesn't seem to be from the Virtue Pantheon or the divine devan race, yet she has such impressive physical capabilities. She’s worth bringing back to the Zhan Mausoleum for research! However, that stinkbug Li Tianming possesses something that can scare away spinwheel ghouls.... I have to report it to my parents and grandparents!"
Thinking of that made him feel even more down. "If I’d been able to catch him, I would’ve earned a lot of merit...."
"Zhantian Feng!" The other two ships turned back when they realized that they wouldn't be able to catch up to the tomb. Both of them were high-fortuna-class ships that were more than ten times larger than the likes of low-fortuna-class ships, like the Blazestar and Scorchmoon. Being well known ships, they had impressive speed and combat capability, yet not even they had been able to catch up to the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb.
One of the ships was gold and looked like the ninesun fienddragons of the Sundown Pantheon. While gold seemed like a color of the just, the appearance that resembled Archaionfiends made the ship look really sinister. The other ship was built in the style of the Starfall Pantheon, being a nine-colored gear-shaped ship that spun to fly. It could spin really fast, and even cut with its circular blade. Both were made of fortuna-class ores and were thus comparable to fortuna-class cosmic artifacts in hardness, but billions of times more massive.
Around a hundred overflowers from Starmoon Haven exited the ships, each of them at least forty meters tall. They were all fourth-level overflowers or stronger, with even the weakest of them being as strong as Xing Yue or Luori Guiyang. They shone as bright as stars themselves, appearing like beings worthy of worship.
There was true power coursing through the astrons within their bodies. When the five million foundationeers from the Three Great Cults saw them, they subconsciously shut up and looked at the figures with respectful and submissive gazes.
That was just the kind of world the Upper Star Ruin was. While a solitary giant shorter than a hundred meters wouldn't scare anyone, an entire group of them that shone like stars would generate quite an oppressive aura. The tallest among them were titanic, godly beings that shone infinitely bright. Their incredible size and radiance was the basis of the hierarchy in the Upper Star Ruin, which was impossible to be mistaken about.
In the long history of the Upper Star Ruin, Tianming was the only two-meter-tall person that had upended that hierarchy and killed gigantic gods one after another. Most foundationeers were nothing but little fleshy bugs to the giants, who could easily flatten them with one step. Just because they were huge didn't mean they weren't agile enough to stomp foundationeers flat, but Tianming was the exception.
Naturally, Qingyu and Wudi would also be able to hold their own, but they weren't the Galactic Emperor like Tianming was, so the gap didn't appear to be that big. Not to mention, Qingyu was well on her way to becoming an overflower and growing in size as well.
"Greetings to the mighty gods of the Wargod and Starmoon Havens," the five million cult members said, all prostrating themselves. That was the difference between them and the flameyellow descendants. The latter's devotion for Tianming was far more passionate and wild, and Tianming could directly resonate with them without needing to bully them using his level and make them prostrate while casting their dignity away.
The size difference between them made it look like a group of rats worshipping lions. Even though they were all astral gods, they seemed like completely different lifeforms. Despite the deep respect shown, the newcomers didn't even bat an eye at them and looked at Zhantian Feng instead.
"Mister Zhantian Feng, why’d you use the spinwheel ghoul, only to pull it back and let the stinkbugs escape?" asked a middle-aged man from the group. He wasn't that far off in power from Zhantian Feng, being an eighth-level overflower. However, he seemed significantly older by a few thousand years. He was called Xing Can and looked like Xing Han, being his elder brother and the father of Xing Yue as well. The brothers were children of cosmic gods.
"There was an issue with the spinwheel ghoul." Even though Zhantian Feng was a genius, he wasn't one to let it make him arrogant. He didn't feel the need to obfuscate anything, either.
"I see!" said another with an understanding tone. He was Luori Xuanlie, an eighth-level overflower and Xing Can's good friend. Luori Ying was his younger sister, and Luori Guiyang was his son. Both he and Xing Can had thought that Xing Han and Luori Ying would be enough to deal with what had happened, but the unexpected accident caused them to transfer over from Starmoon Haven. They were still too late, however.
Zhantian Feng slightly shuddered as he turned toward the ninesun-fienddragon-shaped ship. "Did Miss Yanri Shuang also come?"
"We just so happened to be going the same way, so she decided to come and take a look," Luori Xuanlie said. "Since Miss Yan doesn't like to show her face, let’s go in and talk."
"Okay." Zhantian Feng nodded and entered the golden ship. Within it was a young girl with a head of curly hair that looked like a powerful waterfall of molten gold. Her skin was fair as snow and glistened like pearls. Her astral glow made her look like the brightest princess of stars.
