"Alright then. Depart and begin immediately." Tianming waved her off.

"Oh? That soon?" She seemed rather surprised. She blushed and shuffled over once more. "Master, do you want to harshly discipline your servant before she leaves?"

"Buzz off." He gave her a kick, only to realize that he couldn't quite send her far away due to how much bigger she was compared to him. He sighed in disappointment. "Back in the wondersky realm, you would've flown quite far off."

"Master, if you want to recreate that effect, I can play along. Give me another kick," she said, sticking her rear out.

"Stop being in heat and get to work!" Tianming was almost speechless.

"Yes, Master..." She turned and left in disappointment.

"Wait a second. There's one more thing I need to know. You came straight from Wondrium Imperius, right? What's Tian Jiu's status right now?"

The wondersky fairy was quite delighted to be stopped, but was disappointed when she heard the question. "She's in hiding. Even though the astralguard formation of Wonderium Imperius is useless against her, she doesn't dare to openly make her move due to Imperator Shen. Not too long ago, she showed up in a maniverse-class world and assimilated hundreds of millions of wonderian cosmic gods."

"What are you waiting for then? Go do your mission!" Tianming chuckled. He felt rather complicated about all this, not because of the wondersky fairy but because of how terrible the situation among the wonderians was.

Most wonderians didn't wish to reunite with their ancient progenitor. They had their own lives and desires. They couldn't let all that go, especially when they were the apex rulers of the universe! Yet, the sudden return of Tian Jiu threatened to swallow all of them up. They would all lose their sense of self.

Though there were some that welcomed the advent of Tian Jiu, the Tian Jiu Cult of Grand Xia Voidback was hardly representative of common wonderians. The fact that even the Perpetual Wonderqueen herself fled was a sign of how fast things in Wonderium Imperius were crumbling. Tianming felt a hint of sorrow at the sight of the departing fairy.

"Don't tell me you're starting to sympathize with them," Bai Feng said, poking its head out and chuckling.

"Not to that extent, no. The wonderians have collectively committed grave sins. Being assimilated by Tian Jiu is a just punishment for what they have done. I just lament how weak all life is. The wonderians used to be the apex rulers of the universe that controlled countless nova-source worlds, feasting on the caeli of countless cultivators. Yet, even they ended up becoming the prey of someone else."

"The universe seems to be a pond where the bigger fish prey on smaller fish. Doesn't that also imply the existence of an even bigger fish out there that can prey on all of us?"

Bai Feng seemed rather excited at that prospect. "Then why aren't you cultivating hard? Take us out there to see for ourselves!"

"I wasn't the least bit curious! But then again... Her? It's not possible."

"Why not?" Ying Huo said with a shit-eating grin. "Wonderians are all paired up at birth, but she was born alone. It's no surprise that she's single!"

At that moment, ZI Zhen came over. She saw Tianming looking at the wondersky fairy as she left. "Hmph. Enjoying the view, are we?"

"Only a little bit, nothing more," Tianming said.
