"Things seem to be a mess," Sage Xing said with a sigh.

"It's what we expected. Let's see how things are at the capital," Sage Chen said.

Jiang Qingluan didn't say anything, but her expression didn't seem pleasant. Nobody would've expected the Adjudicator to drop the pretense entirely and catch them off guard. The joint invasion by Torch Dragon and Aquamarine loomed over Vermillion Bird threateningly.

The three of them returned to the capital and saw the chaotic sight of cosmic gods fleeing the place. Many of them saw the three and began to yell.

Jiang Qingluan and the two sages were stunned to hear that. To think that they would actually suggest surrendering to the Adjudicator before the fight even started!

"Where have your spines gone?! You are the shame of Vermillion Bird! Go kneel all your like!" Jiang Qingluan snapped.

Sage Chen smirked and turned to Prince Liehun. "The Adjudicator was only respected because he didn't interfere in our affairs despite his power and actively maintained peace in the Realm of Chaos. However, he's trying to conquer everything under his rule! He was the one that broke the balance of power! He has lost his right to adjudicate between us. I think all of you need to consider the implications of living in a world where the Adjudicator gets his way every time."

He turned and left with Sage Xing and Jiang Qingluan, leaving Prince Liehun even more sour after being rejected a second time.

"Those daft fools! I'll watch and see how terribly they'll die for daring to disobey the Adjudicator!"

An army of cosmic gods assembled outside Vermillion Bird Capital, led by Chen Yao, Chen Hao and Xing Que.

Chen Yao addressed their millions of troops with a stern look. "Today is the eve of a foreign invasion. What do you all think we should do?!"

Countless cries answered his call.

"We'll beat them up! We've been fighting Aquamarine and Torch Dragon for years! We do not fear them!"

"Do you remember how our forces took them both on at the Inverse Battlefield and sent them running off?"

These soldiers saw Aquamarine and Torch Dragon as bitter rivals. They were used to fighting them both at the same time and would never cower before the fight even began. Their fighting spirits burned bright and strong. They couldn't wait to march on the enemy to defend their home!

"My father will be leading the charge in battle. However, we will not fall behind either!" Chen Yao said, eyes bright. He respected his father, Sage Chen, deeply. The same applied to the millions of hot-blooded troops before him.

Chen Hao let the words simmer silently for a moment before he said, "The invasion this time is part of the Adjudicator's plan. As long as we can hold our ground, Nullity will be facing much less pressure."

Chen Yao sighed. "Many people say that the Adjudicator targeted us because we got too friendly with the sky plunderers. But at the end of the day, we do not walk the same path as the Adjudicator! We were bound to get into conflict with him. And for that, we are lucky that we have the sky plunderers resisting him by our side!"

Xing Que nodded. "That's right. If we do not act and let Nullity fall to ruin, Vermillion Bird will not hold out for long either. The future of the Realm of Chaos shall be determined soon!"
