Chapter 4548 - A Brand-New Mount
Seeing the Wondersky Fairy acting like that, Tianming kicked her aside without hesitation. “Read the room. Stop acting up.”
Though he scolded her, there was still a smile on his face.
It was clear that she had now genuinely submitted to him.
After all, the elite of the wonderians, even Imperator Shen, had been completely wiped out. Even many of their elite cosmic gods across the fortuna-class worlds had already been devoured by Tian Jiu.
It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to call what remained of the wonderians the old and the weak.
In contrast, the Wondersky Fairy had survived this catastrophe.
Aside from the devas, she would undoubtedly be among those living the most comfortably in the time to come.
Even after being kicked away, she was still brimming with joy.
Huang Qi cut in coldly, “Don’t celebrate too soon. When the others awaken, your destiny will be back on track.”
The Wondersky Fairy scoffed. “So what? I believe Tianming will create another miracle. Anyways, even if we lose, I already won by living longer than the rest of my race.”
Huang Qi was rendered speechless.
Soon, Li Qingyu, Suishen Jiguang, Suishen Yao, and many others friends and family alike rushed forward to greet Tianming.
With their overwhelming victory, the entire Flameyellow Imperial Star had turned into a sea of celebration.
Just after embracing Wudi, Tianming felt two soft figures throw themselves into his arms from either side. “Auntie... Yao’er.”
He looked at the two women. One was as gentle as water, and the other brimming with lively energy. He could see in their eyes just how worried they had been moments before.
Suishen Yao lightly punched his chest. “You scared me to death! Hmph! If Big Sis Little Fish hadn’t arrived, I would’ve—”
Tianming raised a brow. “You would’ve what?”
She blinked, blushing faintly. “What else? I’d have been preparing for your funeral feast!”
He tapped her on the head. “So little faith in me? I’ll have your aunt give you some proper discipline later.”
“Pfft!” Suishen Yao stuck out her tongue and ran off laughing.
Jiguang watched her go and sighed with a helpless smile. “That girl never grows up.”
Tianming leaned closer, eyeing her teasingly. “And you’re any better? You haven’t grown up either.”
Jiguang smiled wryly. “The ‘growing up’ you mean and the one I mean aren’t quite the same... Though honestly, I’ve always dreamed of growing up too...”
She glanced at Tianming’s seventy thousand meters of height, unable to hide a sense of awe and resignation. However, she soon pushed such thoughts aside. This was a time for celebration.
Soon after, Li Qingyu flew over, chattering excitedly around him.
Wei Tiancang, Li Jingyu, Mu Wan, Bai Zijin...
Many relatives and friends who had followed him since the earliest days gathered around him, along with the five Imperial-Star elders, as well as Mushan Feng and his sister Mushan Xue.
Even Jiang Tianzhou and others from the Grand Jiang, along with the rest of the Primordial Sands, were cheering with unrestrained joy.
No matter who it was, the way they looked at Tianming now was filled with admiration and reverence.
“As always, Tianming has led us to another miracle!”
“He’s never let us down!”
“The title Galactic Emperor finally fits him!”
Qingyu smiled in agreement. “It’s not just my brother. Big Sis Zi Zhen and Big Sis Little Fish were incredible too.”
Wudi laughed. “My daughter, with your legacy as the Eightpart Holy Daughter, you’ll reach that level soon enough.”
“I wouldn’t dare dream of it,” Qingyu shook her head helplessly. “They’re all monsters. Catching up to my sisters-in-law? That’s a lifelong goal!”
Tianming felt slightly embarrassed hearing that, but she wasn’t wrong.
Zi Zhen’s mysterious bloodline placed her far beyond any specter race.
As for Moran, she had now surpassed Tian Jiu. No one knew where her limits lay.
And most importantly...
There was one more “monster,” still in the form of a golden star.
Tianming gazed into the distant starry sky. Ling’er... we’re one step closer to the day I can welcome you back in glory. I wouldn’t have come this far without Zi Zhen, without Little Fish... and without you.
After a while, he waved his hand, asking everyone to return home and continue the celebrations.
Only then did Moran drift over, quietly staying by his side like a shy young wife.
Tianming looked at her warmly and pulled her into his arms. “Little Fish... thank you.”
She blushed slightly since there were other people still around.
Still, though she shifted a little, she didn’t resist. Instead, she asked with concern, “Are you alright? What about Ying Huo and the others? Have they recovered?”
“Man, that scared me to death!”
Ying Huo popped out, grinning at her. “Little Li’s wife is reliable. If we’d relied on him, I’d probably have turned back into an egg!”
Seeing Ying Huo lively as ever, Little Fish relaxed before quickly pointing at Tianming’s left arm. “Then what about Meow Meow?”
Sure enough, Meow Meow’s head poked out, ears drooping, looking utterly drained.
“Hey, what’s wrong with you? Don’t tell me you haven’t recovered?” Ying Huo slapped its head with a glare.
Everyone turned to look at Meow Meow with concern.
Meow Meow yawned lazily. “I’m fine... just woke up too suddenly. I was thinking of finding a top-tier mount to nap on... then I remembered I don’t match with them anymore.”
“A top-tier mount?” Tianming couldn’t help but laugh.
Ji Ji and Xian Xian shot it looks of utter disdain.
It wasn’t surprising that Meow Meow felt nostalgic. Several “top-tier mounts” had just been in the crowd. But now, both he and Tianming had grown far too large. It was no longer meant to be.
Ying Huo, however, forever had inspiration for bad ideas. It grinned wickedly. “Meow Meow, don’t sleep yet. If the old mounts don’t fit, we’ve got a new one. Look over there!”
Meow Meow spotted the Wondersky Fairy. Its eyes lit up instantly. “That’s right! Little Li, you promised me back then this top-tier mount is mine! Brother Chicken can testify!”
Ying Huo nodded seriously. “I can testify, but I want half.”
Meow Meow snorted. “Forget it. Third Brother, you testify!”
Lan Huang, though slow-witted, wasn’t willing to take a loss. “If I testify, I want to play ‘Up, up and away.’”
Meow Meow froze.
Up, up, and away? If Lan Huang got its way and tossed Meow Meow around, how was it supposed to sleep at all?!
