Chapter 4623 - Purple Eye

Tianming and Qingyu stood before the vortex to the Xenoworld, worried. After pondering shortly about the situation, Tianming said, "There's only one Aeternal Being left, while the Sun is defended by Zi Zhen, Little Fish and Godfather. So our home is safe. I must go there myself."

Though Qingyu was worried about Lingfeng, she was also concerned about Tianming's safety. "Won't it be too risky for you to go in? Is there another way?"

Tianming shook his head. "There isn't."

He turned back to the odd vortex, recalling how the Xenoworld had been when he went there before and mentally preparing himself. He didn't really understand the Xenoworld, but Bai Ye, Bai Ling and Bai Feng had spent some time there, so they could guide him.

After he got Yin Chen to tell the rest about what he was about to do, he bid Qingyu farewell. As she and Shuo Yue watched worriedly, Tianming entered the vortex. Right after he did so, he activated his cosmic constellation, causing every single middlekin astron to produce a vortex that sucked in all traces of energy that he emitted, including light. His body turned translucent before vanishing into a haze. It was as if he didn't even exist. In fact, this also hid his tripartite soul.

No entity in the Xenoworld even noticed that Tianming had entered it. Yet, nothing changed from his own point of view. Since the vortex was opened up here, they probably wouldn't be far off.

"Sixths, guide the way," Tianming said. He was as lost as a fly. Every direction looked identical to him, filled with abstract and shifting colorations that seemed corporeal and ethereal at the same time. As expected of the world that was the Primordial God-Emperor's soul.

There used to be phantom beasts that carried wondersky realms within the soul world, but most of them had been destroyed by the Wondersky Fairy. In fact, after the wonderians were exterminated, the Wondersky Fairy had returned and continued to destroy the few that remained. All that resulted in lots of lost caeli within the world of the soul. They appeared and disappeared randomly like little mischievous pixies in a world where distance didn't matter.

Bai Ye gleefully said, "Little Li, are you feeling lost the moment you came in? Fortunately for you, we have roamed the Xenoworld before."

Bai Ling chuckled. "This is just like our home."

Bai Feng, on the other hand, pondered for a moment and said, "I sense a spirit pulse that stands out. That should be our target."

Tiamming was delighted by how quick it was to find their target. Otherwise, he really wouldn't have any idea where to start.

Bai Ye said, "Ye Lingfeng... We can't leave him be, by virtue of sharing this name with him! Let's go!"

Bai Ling seemed rather miffed. "Come to think of it, why did I get the second character of his name?"

Bai Ye snickered. "Haven't you always come second?"

Just like that, they started quarreling again. Tianming ignored them while the more serious Bai Feng pointed the way. "This is the last Aeternal Being, right?"

Tianming nodded. "That's right."

Bai Feng fell silent after that, but it was clear from its tone that it looked forward to the Realm of Worldgazing. The same applied to Bai Ye and Bai Ling. And while Ying Huo and the rest didn't state it outright, there was no way they didn't want to know how the Primordial Chaos Beasts came about. Were they truly beings who had been born in the Realm of Worldgazing?

Tianming continued on ahead, following Bai Feng. Being spiritforms made them far more attuned to sensing spirit frequencies. Along the way, the endless landscape seemed to undulate like oceanic waves. The lightscapes around them shifted unpredictably, seemingly without pattern.

Eventually, Tianming walked through many layers of illusion formations and finally sensed a different presence ahead of him. A massive purple eye emerged from an ever-changing veil of light before Tianming. This was none other than Di Yi, the number-one Aeternal Being with mysterious abilities. Had Lingfeng not been holding him back the whole time, preventing him from taking action, Tianming probably wouldn't have survived till this point.

"It's still so massive... Is this the largest memory crystal in the Primordial God-Emperor's body?" Tianming looked up at the massive, domineering purple eye, still in his stealth form. The eye had looked infinitely massive to him long ago, and that feeling barely changed even after he grew to seventy thousand meters in height. He could barely see the end of the eye. Fortunately, the eye didn't seem to have detected his arrival. This cosmic constellation is far too amazing. It can even hide all traces of my tripartite soul.

Tianming gradually approached it and could see a familiar black-clad figure struggling deep within the pupil of the eye, which was still absorbing the last batch of xenofiends by using the Primordial Demonlord's vortex on the figure's chest. After absorbing all the xenofiends, memory crystals of the Primordial God-Emperor, Di Yi would finally be released. He could escape the God-Emperor Universe and return to the Realm of Worldgazing to inform his main body about the situation inside the God-Emperor Universe.

Why did that fellow open a pathway here for me to enter during such a crucial time? Tianming had thought that he would see Di Yi expecting him. Yet, he seemed to not even sense his arrival nor appeared to be ready for him. Don't tell me Feng was the one who opened this pathway...
