Chapter 4626 - Li-Style Guerilla Warfare

The countless tiny purple eyeballs tried again right as Tianming's soul was hurting, biting into his flesh. Enduring the spiritual pain and injuries, he plucked the eyeballs out and destroyed them with his totem sword formation. The sword ki of flame burnt up the entire area, taking out quite a number of those eyeballs and turning the area around Tianming into a sea of fire! Even so, the purple veins still came on strong with their soul storm attacks.

"Duck!" warned his three soulbeasts. The Celestial Sourcepath Progenitor was well aware of how powerful the soul storms were.

"Ying Huo, Meow Meow, come back to me!" Tianming summoned all his beasts back. They had suffered quite a bit of damage from the purple veins' battering and immediately withdrew. Then, Tianming's body disappeared completely before the full bulk of the soul storms hit. All of the energy signatures that his body gave off were being swallowed up by the cosmic constellation of the Order Relic Universal Body, causing him to completely disappear. The purple veins had suddenly lost their attack target and the soul storms ravaged the area without a sign of hitting anything. Tianming had completely pulled back from the battlefield the moment he vanished.

"How are you all doing?" Tianming asked. He could sense that they'd had their best.

Ying Huo stubbornly said, "I'll be fine. Not dying anytime soon. My head just hurt a bit from all that whipping."

Xian Xian excitedly said, "Hah! Thankfully, we destroyed those stupid little eyes. Otherwise they'd find us even if we enter stealth."

The cosmic constellation was Tianming's current greatest asset, preventing his enemies from sensing or grasping him under normal circumstances. It would be different if his body got infested by some foreign parasite, however. As for the lifebound beasts, they could fuse with Tianming so parasitizing them was pointless.

Tianming reverted back to his usual form and observed the purple eye from another location.

"It's too bad that my omnisentient threads aren't able to reach me in the Xenoworld," he said as he felt the flow of energy in his body.

Yin Chen said, "Di Yi... is more... powerful than... Tai Er! At the... very least... Tai Er... wouldn't be... his match."

It had been there to witness Tai Er's attack on Feiling, after all, so it knew how powerful Tai Er was. That comparison made Tianming even more worried. He didn't think that Di Yi would end up being the strongest Aeternal Being after all.

Bai Feng calmly said, "It's clear that his power stems from the Xenoworld, more specifically, all the memory crystals he's consumed. Once he leaves the Xenoworld, his might would drop significantly."

Ying Huo said, "In other words, the Xenoworld is Di Yi's home turf now!"

Lan Huang, still ignorant of the severity of the situation, excitedly said, "Haha! That sounds fun! Those little eyes can't see us!"

Meow Meow sighed. "Fortunately, I evaded quickly enough. Otherwise, my balls would've been crushed."

Tianming knew that had Di Yi's power not been bound to the Xenoworld, he would've joined the others on their attack on the Sun long ago. The Sun's forces definitely wouldn't have been able to withstand an assault of that magnitude. Tianming wasn't able to do anything aside from remaining hidden with his cosmic constellation for the time being.

Di Yi appeared even angrier when he lost track of his prey. The countless purple veins spread out all over the place and didn't find Tianming at all, causing the massive purple eyeball to turn completely bloodshot as if it had never slept a wink in its whole life.

Eventually, Di Yi's cold voice said, "Such petty tricks. Keep hiding, Li Tianming. Stay hidden if you dare."

As long as Lingfeng was trapped within his body, he would have the upper hand. Tianming could hide all he wanted, but he wouldn't run back to the Sun as long as Lingfeng was there.

Di Yi soon ignored Tianming's presence altogether and continued to absorb the remaining xenofiends. The countless purple veins entered the eyeball and went on to attack the Soulfiend in full force.

Tianming could tell that the Soulfiend had also absorbed a portion of the xenofiends' power, making it much stronger than before. The three heads of differing expressions and six arms wrestled with many purple veins even as countless tiny purple eyeballs parasitized its body. It groaned and resisted nonstop, tearing out as many eyeballs as it could while it crawled towards Lingfeng.

Tianming knew that the key to saving Lingfeng was the Soulfiend and that hiding wasn't the solution. "I have to hold back Di Yi for the Soulfiend. Redirect his attention."

He went to the back of the eye and suddenly appeared while Di Yi was occupied with the Soulfiend, expending all his power! Despite the size difference, he packed quite a punch to the eye. Even though those injuries would recover, this would drain its power reserves more and more.

"Die!" Di Yi once more lashed out in rage with half of the purple veins. But Tianming disappeared right before they hit and moved to a different place to strike! He didn't get too greedy and always changed locations after a strike, dragging half of the purple veins with him and attacking at a speed faster than Di Yi could recover.

Despite not having access to his omnisentient threads, he still had his basic fighting capabilities, which were rather threatening to the massive eyeball.

Lingfeng could feel the powerful blasts from all that way in the eyeball and began to roar, applying even more pressure on Di Yi from within. Di Yi had been relying on his vortex to consume the xenofiends in the first place, so the more he struggled, the less effective the process went.

Thanks to Tianming, the pressure on the Soulfiend was greatly decreased, allowing it to creep even closer. They could feel each other's presence from inside and outside the eyeball respectively!
