Chapter 602: Evidence
The Prince brought himself back. He looked at Gu Chaoyan with a look of anger, though he had a slight touch of appreciating her a while ago. How could such a pretty girl steal others’ recipes just to obtain profits for herself.
He was about to speak, when Zhou Huaijin arrived.
The Prince was surprised. “Lord Huai?”
Zhou Huaijin nodded and said, “Prince Muyi.”
“What are you doing here?” Prince Muyi was confused.
“Lady Chaoyan and I own this restaurant, and I am here because I heard there is a fuss here.” Zhou Huaijin said with a serious look on his face.
Only now did Prince Muyi realize what happened. He could not understand why there were two owners to one restaurant, yet that was not the key issue here.
The economy in the Feather Mulberry Land was not doing well, and they had very little money in the storage. So apart from tributing the wine to the King here, he was thinking about selling the wine as well. If the sales went well, they would have a long-term business here. At least in this way, they could solve some economic problems. However, they were just seeking a place to sell the wine, when they found out that the same wine was already sold here in this restaurant.
It was very shameless of them to have stolen their recipes for profits!
“Lord Huai, even if you are the owner of this restaurant, you will have to tell us what happened!” Prince Muyi snapped angrily.
Before Zhou Huaijin answered him, the Imperial Master next to him added impolitely, “The wine made of grapes is from our nation, and did not exist in your country in the past. Why do you have it now? You must have stolen our recipe!”
Hearing these words, Gu Chaoyan frowned again – this man was being so unreasonable!
“What makes you think so, honestly? Why do you think that we stole your recipe to make something we did not have in the past? Does it mean that you are also stealing, if something you didn’t have in the past appears suddenly? Or, are you saying that only you are allowed to make wine from grapes?!” Gu Chaoyan countered annoyedly.
The Imperial Master pursed his lips. He had some words to say, but he did not know how or even dare to.
The Saint Divine Land was a powerful land, and what this girl said was something to be considered among countries. So the Imperial Master did not dare to say anything more. He did not fear ordinary businessmen, but Lord Huai was right in front of them now.
The Imperial Master took a look at Prince Muyi.
Prince Muyi explained as he saw this girl’s angry face. “Miss, that is not what the Imperial Master means. You will have to know one thing here.”
“Only people from the royal families make wine like this, and the recipe is not available to any ordinary people. And those who make our wine are devoted people, that is what caused the Imperial Master to suspect you.”
Gu Chaoyan threw a look at the Prince.
So that was what happened in the Feather Mulberry Land?
She just could not understand why the Feather Mulberry Land tried so hard to hide their wine?
“I would like to ask how you got the recipe for your wine?” Prince Muyi said seriously. “Wine made from grapes is really important for us. So we need to know the truth.”
“I inherited it.” Gu Chaoyan said relaxedly.
“How can you prove that you inherited it rather than stole it from us! Only royal families make such wine in our country!” The Imperial Master added again, as he glared at Gu Chaoyan as if he held a deep grudge against her.
