Feng Wu chuckled. “Do you know how I spotted Qingyang and your friend?”
She moved closer and whispered something in his ear.
The old man’s pupils contracted, and he glared at Feng Wu.
Feng Wu had just told him that she could read minds.
Whenever she was close enough to a person, she could hear what they were thinking.
“No! I don’t believe you!” The old man activated his energy and tried to block Feng Wu.
“Are you telling yourself not to think about that last friend’s whereabouts?” Feng Wu smiled at him. “I already read your mind. You’re so worried about that person.”
Steward Gu closed his eyes.
He wouldn’t let Feng Wu see any emotions on his face.
Feng Wu waved her hand, and a tiny tiger jumped out of her sleeve.
The cub was slighter bigger than before, but it still looked like a ball of white fur.
Feng Wu patted its head and said, “This old man has a special smell of blood on him. Take a sniff and find the person he has hidden away.”
Steward Gu smirked.
The smell of blood? The person he had hidden away was indeed injured.
But he had washed off the blood on his sleeve!
No one could smell it!
To his surprise, the cub kept sniffing at his sleeve and wouldn’t leave.
The old man’s stomach lurched.
He opened his eyes and saw that it was focusing on the spot where his sleeve had been stained with the blood.
To fend off Feng Wu’s mental power, he had stiffened. He almost lost control when he saw the cub.
Feng Wu patted the cub and said, “Go!”
The cub dashed off and was soon out of sight.
Feng Wu kept her gaze on Steward Gu the entire time.
The old man was obviously relieved when he saw the cub run away.
His stomach lurched when he saw Feng Wu’s gaze.
Feng Wu smiled mysteriously, and it only made Steward Gu more nervous.
He recalled that Feng Wu was able to force Qingyang to take action because Qingyang hadn’t been calm enough. Right now, Feng Wu was studying his face.
He snorted. “You can try all you want, but you won’t read my mind!”
His eyes then darted around.
He looked everywhere, trying to confuse Feng Wu.
The crowd couldn’t help but look at Feng Wu.
“So, everything she said was a bluff. She’s actually observing Steward Gu’s facial expressions.”
“Unfortunately, she can only use that trick once.”
“Steward Gu isn’t stupid. He won’t fall for the same trick twice.”
“Miss Feng Wu thinks too highly of herself.”
…
The truth was, Emperor Wu thought the same as well. Therefore, he wanted to know how Feng Wu was going to find the third person.
The cub came back with a wooden box in its mouth.
It was covered with mud.. Needless to say, the cub had just dug it out.
