Chapter 1697: The completion and the choice

The students were right but no one confirmed it outright.

Nonetheless, the principal still came out with a denial.

"The one who tried to kill me is a fake committee member known as Cedric Granville, it has nothing to do with the no.4 Ranker Scarlet Eyes."

After that, the principal stayed in the hospital to recuperate.

Soon after that, a search was mounted and they found the real Cedric Granville who was imprisoned.

This case was concluded as a terrorist attack.

After Edward denied it and the school closed the case, nobody could continue to pursue the matter.

So, the case was set aside with an ambiguous ending.

Charlotte, Frey, Raishin, and Loki kept mum about the event and went about their daily lives.

At least, they knew the truth is better to stay with them then to come out into the open.

Night slowly descended.

Wu Yan stood with Natsuki, Ikaros, Astrea, Nagisa, and Kanon behind him.

They stared at a red portal that seemed like it has been opened for quite some time.

There are glowing orbs in it.

The glowing orbs throbbed, it looked like mechanical hearts.

The path of demigod's third round is finished, and the restriction bracelets are released.

The limiters disappeared in wisps of light particles.

Almost at once, a burst of energy and aura came from the ladies. Their powers returned to them.

Astrea and Nagisa stretched their backs gladly.

"How nostalgic, I missed this comfortable feeling."

The limiter bracelets made them feel suppressed and hollow within, as if parts of them were missing.

Ikaros and Kanon also mellowed out.

Wu Yan's limiter also disappeared as all his powers were unsealed.

Wu Yan felt his power jump from level 0 to level 89 in less than a second. The rush of power is something like the rush of adrenaline.

And...

The fourth mission of the Demigod's path unlocked. The user may choose the next universe to undertake the mission.

The next mission will be determined by the universe chosen by the user.

Previous universes like Seikoku no Kishi, Fate/Kaleid, and Unbreakable Machine doll may not be picked again. Please pick a universe to proceed onto the next mission.

"We can choose the next universe?"

Wu Yan gasped.

"Is this a bonus or planned feature?"

"Isn't it good?"

Natsuki tapped her fan against her palm.

"You can choose familiar universes to complete more missions."

"Yeah, I know."

Wu Yan chuckled.

"Anyway, let's head back to Silvaria first."

Natsuki, Ikaros, and the other ladies all nodded in agreement.
