Emperor’s Domination

Chapter 6800: Never Meet Again

Chapter 6800: Never Meet Again

She saw his expression and her heart softened. She sighed and said: “There’s no point in accompanying you, you don’t need my help and I’m not serving you.”

“I never indicated wanting you as a servant.” He shook his head.

“I don’t want to be your friend either, none of your friends had a good ending.” She said.

“Am I an unlucky star?” He didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.

“Not like that, it’s because your path is meant to be alone. You don’t care whether others can keep up.” She said.

“Can they?” He smiled.

She paused for a moment and took her time pondering. The dark crow’s hands were stained with blood but he had never fallen.

Despite being cursed as a butcher, he was actually a protector with love for this world. He never minded the hate from others, not falling into depravity because of it. He took his time building foundations for the world instead of devouring it.

He trained emperors and let them go free instead of shackling them to his goal. Once he became the highest immortal, he still returned everything without holding back.

His heart remained the same - one full of love and original aspiration. Along his endless journey, some had befriended him but couldn’t stick around due to how tough the path was.

“Everyone has a different path.” Li Qiye said.

“Yes.” She gazed into the horizon.

“So where do you want to go now?” He asked.

“It’s pretty boring being an immortal. The dao is unreachable.” She gazed into the horizon.

“Yes, but if one can’t handle the loneliness, they can’t reach the end.” He smiled.

“I want to rest for a bit and worry about things later.” She tossed her hair to the side while laughing.

“Why rest now?” He asked.

“I thought my mission against the heaven was not complete and tried a different path. After all, Guardian Alliance can be boring.” She said.

“That’s why you joined Heaven Assault.” He said.

“Could be faster with a new method but now, I feel that I’m no longer needed.” She said.

“Oh?” He asked.

“You’re alive and quite strong, we’re not needed any longer.” She said: “The past you required everyone to create a fortified defense. Now, you alone can handle everything, that’s why I’m taking a break.”

“Isn’t that too much?” He smiled.

“When you were not around, everyone risked their lives for you. Now, it’s too much that I want to take a break? Just how evil are you?” She glared at him.

“You can’t put it like that.” He said.

“Why not?” She disagreed.

“It wasn’t just for me but also for everyone’s pursuit and dao heart.” He said.

“So you didn’t groom them from a young age? Who would want to risk their lives for nothing?” She said.

“It added colors to your lives, standing above the nine firmaments and becoming immortal, that’s everyone’s dream.” He smiled.

“Okay, okay, can’t argue against you.” She became annoyed: “But it’s your business now. I need a long break.”

“To do what?” He asked.

“Why should I tell you?” She said.

“Okay, go then. After all, there’s no rush with your dao.” He said.

“I’m done with suffering all the time. Now it’s time to enjoy life and be happy.” She sneered.

“Like getting married and having children? I don’t know, descendants have been unfilial recently, it won’t be happiness that you find, only fatigue.” He joked.

“Scram, it won’t go as you say since I’m going to find some women.” She said.

“Alright.” He smiled.

As she walked away, she suddenly turned around and appeared inches before him. She grabbed his neck and gave him a passionate kiss.

“You’re a terrible kisser compared to the ladies.” She let go and walked away.

Once far enough, she waved without looking back: “I’m going to be busy with all the beauties, don’t bother me.”

“Go ahead, remember to stay strong with your dao heart after you are bored of it.” He smiled.

She paused momentarily, gritting her teeth after being reminded.

“I’m going to live an intoxicated life, don’t talk to me about staying strong!” She shouted.

“You won’t be able to change, this is your destiny.” He said.

“You can’t handle me being happy?” She asked.

“No, your best self is when you seek the dao and stay strong.” He said.

“Go die, let’s never meet again!” She shouted.

“Probably will never meet again, but I won’t die.” He said.

“Jerk!” She finally disappeared.

He smiled and sighed: “How inevitable.”

He then glanced down at the mortal worlds full of life. Although the mortals only lasted for a split second in the grand scheme of things, their ephemeral existence contained beauties and colors.

“They all have their own lives.” He said before entering Stygian.
