Chapter 6844: Bear Immortal
It was a bear as grand as a mountain. His fur was wonderful and otherworldly, exuding immortal radiance. They cascaded down like waterfalls while being as pleasant as a drizzle.
Various immortal dao circled him. Just a fraction of it could benefit someone greatly, enough to make them an ancient ancestor or overlord. It emitted a sense of vitality and playfulness instead of suppression.
Therefore, the bear looked adorable and gentle like a panda in the mortal world. Of course, he was an immortal - a being capable of massacring worlds, not a cute panda.
He was not in a good spot because the water seemed to be crawling up, reaching one-third of his body.
It looked like an armor plate so normally, this should be a good thing. In reality, his body was melting like ice. The final state would be his becoming one with the water.
He knew what was going on so he used his immortal dao to stop and refine the water. Alas, the rotation didn’t slow it down.
His saving grace was a floating ancient banner. When unfurled and swaying to the wind, it released a primordial aura - one far older and purer than those seen in the outside world.
It could be considered the origin of the current primordial auras. In other words, it was formed by nature, not cultivation. This banner prevented the water from fully taking over.
“Bear Immortal!” Thunder Emperor shouted emotionally.
She had never seen his true form before, only a silhouette. This applied to Blaze Ancestor as well.
Thus, she immediately lowered her head to show respect.
“What are you doing?” Li Qiye frowned and asked.
The bear couldn’t answer since it was in a zen state to deal with the water.
Li Qiye shook his head and sent his will through the water, removing its power and forcing it to stream down.
With the water gone, Bear Immortal could finally breathe easy. He took a deep breath and noticed Li Qiye.
“Bam!” He kneeled before Li Qiye and shouted: “Young Noble, I finally see you again!”
This astounded Thunder Emperor. She naturally knew he was a mighty immortal after the battle against the overlords. However, the strongest immortal of Golden Lamp looked like a servant before him.
“You’ve done well enough to make the old man proud, an immortal at least.” Li Qiye said.
She became petrified upon hearing this. Becoming an immortal was considered the highest honor for all cultivators. However, Li Qiye spoke as if it was ordinary and natural - something that simply ought to have happened.
“As you said, Young Noble, the mortal world didn’t allow for immortals.” Bear Immortal stood up and was ecstatic to see Li Qiye: “I became one after coming to Heavenrealm. Master never got to see it.”
“It’s fine, a dead man can’t see. He didn’t teach you how to eat this and that, looks like he was enlightened.” Li Qiye said.
The bear let out an awkward chuckle before replying: “Master said that it was not the path of full enlightenment and would limit me, or in other words, bring shame to him. If he had understood how to restrain his desires earlier, he could have reached the shore right away and found apex power. It was too late when he realized this.”
“So he’s placing his hope on you, hoping you will possess apex power later.” Li Qiye smiled.
“I’m afraid I can’t.” The bear shook his head: “He was an inborn primordial entity while I’m a young beast, I cannot walk his path to reach the apex.”
“The dao is something you walk yourself.” Li Qiye said: “Even if you receive all of his teachings, you cannot replicate his path. If all you try to do is copy, your path will be limited.”
