“No, the corpse is missing.” Li Qiye sat down to take a closer look before concluding.

“What?!” Thunder blurted: “Do-does that mean Mang is still alive?”

“Someone brought the corpse away.” The bear saw some clues.

“Yes, that is correct.” Li Qiye nodded.

She heaved a sigh of relief. At the very least, it meant Mang didn’t escape alive.

“Who could it be? To actually make it this far.” She said softly.

The battlefield’s location was elusive enough. Visitors needed to make it through the dark river of time and the blinding slash. Regular immortals couldn’t do so.

“Anyone from Devouring Alliance?” She asked.

“The primordial stage is most likely the first requirement for entering. To take Mang’s corpse away? It means enduring everything, which lowers the number dramatically.” The bear said.

“Yes, three to five.” Li Qiye said.

“The legendary Heavenfall?” The bear came up with one name: “Perhaps Hidden Immortal too.”

Thunder Emperor had never heard of these beings before.

“Maybe Genesis.” He continued, unable to come up with more names.

“Why do they want Mang’s corpse? Heavenfall and Hidden Immortal are stronger.” Li Qiye shook his head.

“Right.” He agreed.

“Perhaps not a direct walk. Unfortunately, the slash was too clean so I can’t investigate any further.” Li Qiye scanned the area.

“If not a direct walk, then the list is bigger.” He murmured.
