Chapter 6963: Desolate Immortal
“Where is Mundane Immortal now?” Li Qiye asked.
“No one knows, maybe the monastery has more information. Rumor has it she had already left our world through Heavenfall Path.” He glanced at the gigantic statue and said.
“I see.” Li Qiye’s brows furrowed.
“That’s the path over there.” He pointed at a path reaching Heaven Pit and said: “It’s difficult to travel due to an unknown force suppressing everything. It branches to Dusk Realm as well, another unknown factor.”
“Those are the two places where they fell.” Li Qiye said with a smile.
“Really, Sir?” He was interested in this matter.
“Of course.” Li QIye smiled.
“We are sorely lacking in records of the battle. After all, we’re not qualified to learn or talk about it. Anyone who did had already died in the battle.”
“Indeed, anyone who could have survived left long ago or was killed in the battle.” Li Qiye nodded.
“Later on, my progenitor figured out more but the records were destroyed with our sect.” He rubbed his wrist while sighing.
Li Qiye stared at Heaven Pit without answering.
“Sir, I heard that all the celestial immortals died except Heavenfall, is this true?” He asked.
“Only two or three survivors or so. Heavenfall’s body crumbled too before his escape, that must be the path.” Li Qiye said.
“I see...” He murmured in a daze: “That does explain a lot. No wonder Heaven World’s Immortal Fortress has been excavating it all this time.”
“Immortal Fortress?” Li Qiye asked.
“That right there.” He pointed at the fortress: “It’s from the outside world.”
“So that’s why you suspected I have something to do with it.” Li Qiye said.
“Sir, from what I know, we are separated from the outside world. Only Mundane Immortal and that fortress have made it here, that’s why I thought you were from there. Recently, it’s been moving closer to Myriad Buddhas City, I have a bad feeling about it.” He smiled wryly.
“I see.” Li Qiye stared at the fortress, seemingly displeased.
“The truth is that we feel truly threatened by it.” He wanted to read Li Qiye’s expression.
“How so?” He asked.
“When it first arrived, it wanted to destroy Survivor Realm.” He said.
“It decided to use Survivor Realm as a base.” Li Qiye continued.
“Mundane Immortal was not there and we were helpless. Fortunately, there was a guest immortal at the monastery, unleashing a slash and forcing them back. This ended their conquest.” He said.
“Which immortal?” Li Qiye asked.
“The monastery never spoke in detail, but I do know her title, Desolate.” He shook his head.
“Desolate.” Li Qiye chuckled upon hearing this.
“You have heard of this immortal before?” He asked.
Li Qiye didn’t answer again while glancing at the fortress.
After a brief silence, he asked: “Where did this immortal go?”
“I do not know.” He shook his head: “Some speculated she either went to Heavenfall Path or even Dusk Realm.”
“I’m sure there are more who want to go on the path.” Li Qiye said.
“Sir, the truth is, there are rumors about the path having celestial blood. As for Dusk Realm, it might even have something called a legacy. Someone made it there and later became an incredible immortal. That might be why the fortress is here.” He said.
“Why isn’t it going to Dusk Realm instead of just excavating the path?” Li Qiye asked.
“I don’t know the answer.” He said: “May I ask why you are here in Survivor Realm instead of heading for the other two places?”
He mustered all his courage, aware that Li Qiye might be an immortal from the outside world.
“There might be something here, huh?” Li Qiye smiled.
“...” He had an awkward smile.
“You should know immortals have abilities beyond imagination. If I wish, I can directly extract information from your mind.” Li Qiye said.
“What?!” He jumped back, paled. Nevertheless, he had enough courage to stay instead of running.
