Chapter 6966: Godfiend Monarch

Myriad Buddhas Monastery was the strongest lineage in Survivor Realm and could be considered its ruler. This remained true after Mundane Immortal’s departure.

It had three emperors and an ancient monarch - an overlord who had met Mundane Immortal before.

This land had only produced one immortal, Myriad Tribulations, and one supreme overlord, Godfiend Monarch. Even Mundane Immortal was from the outside world.

Mundane Immortal had left three dao to this world - High Heaven, Godfiend, and Descent.

Descent was the hardest to cultivate; the other two had plenty of cultivators. Alas, few had success.

With Whitelotus leading the way, Li Qiye and Tribulation Daoist weren’t stopped by anyone on the way to the peak.

To the top was a tribulation altar with Godfiend Monarch preparing for the ascension. Although he was the oldest ancestor, he still looked like a handsome twenty-year-old.

This world circled him, its ruler. His eyes pulsed with lightning and destruction, preventing others from looking straight at him.

He could still destroy any minor worlds and firmaments, albeit not with as much ease as immortals.

“Lianxin, where did you go?” The two other emperors stopped Su Lianxin upon seeing her group.

One was Gold Talisman and the other Topknot Grand Emperor. Topknot was older and had his hair tied up like Manjushri Buddha. He had a scholarly imperial aura and was a blade wielder.

Gold Talisman was a middle-aged man in a golden robe inscribed with talisman runes. This robe itself was a powerful imperial talisman, capable of enveloping and obliterating enemies.

He especially stepped forward to pay his respect upon seeing Tribulation Daoist, performing the courtesy of a junior.

Tribulation Daoist’s status and prestige were one thing, but Gold Talisman was once a member of Myriad Tribulations.

Normally, this was frowned upon in the cultivation world to the point of breeding deep-seated animosity. However, these two lineages had no issues with it. After all, Survivor Realm needed solidarity and support.

As for Li Qiye, he wasn’t given a second glance by the emperors. Moreover, they were anxious and assumed he was Tribulation Daoist’s companion.

They exchanged glances, signaling to Lianxin how they couldn’t help. Their ancestor was too strong, rendering their opinion useless.

Godfiend Monarch opened his eyes, revealing rays capable of killing emperors and even an ancient ancestor such as Tribulation Daoist.

“Senior, are you here to observe my ascension?” He asked respectfully.

Tribulation Daoist had the highest seniority in Survivor Realm since he belonged to Myriad Tribulations Immortal’s era. Moreover, he had done nothing but good for the land and its people.

“Monarch, this is not the time to ascend.” Tribulation took a deep breath, willing to take the risk.

“I believe it is.” Godfiend said.

“I do not question your ability, just that we should wait for the fortuitous date when the tribulations wane.” Tribulation said.

“We cannot afford to wait until then.” Godfiend disagreed.

“We have waited a long time now, what’s a bit longer?” Tribulation said.

“Senior, do you know what I must ascend?” He narrowed his eyes, slightly increasing the pressure and forcing everyone back.

“Please enlighten me.” Tribulation bowed slightly despite being a senior, wanting to persuade the other party.

“Senior, as you can see, the fortress is looming above our city. In recent years, they have also been repeatedly abducting our people. I’m sure you are aware of these matters.” Godfiend said.
