Chapter 6968: I’m Afraid You Will Be The One To Die
“Enough.” Godfiend became impatient and said: “Senior, I appreciate your kind intent, but please do not be stubborn any longer.”
He showed enough respect to an ancient ancestor despite being an overlord. Nothing could bridge the gap between them.
Once he no longer cared about seniority and sentiments, he could suppress Tribulation Daoist in the blink of an eye.
“If you insist, I will stop you, for I have sworn to preserve our realm.” Tribulation insisted.
“Senior, leave.” Godfiend said.
The three emperors exchanged glances after seeing a similar outcome to their own attempt.
“It will be death either way, I will use my death as proof of my love for the realm. My conscience will be clear.” Tribulation said.
“Do you have a death wish, Senior?” Godfiend uttered coldly.
“Yes, I hope my death will change your mind.” Tribulation said and teleported in front of the monarch.
“Myriad Blades!” He placed a talisman on the monarch’s chest. Blades erupted and suppressed the whole city.
Alas, the gap was proven. The monarch waved and easily crushed the blades.
Tribulation appeared above and released dozens of talismans: “Tribulations!”
Lightning bolts and flames erupted and descended afterward.
“Godfiend Seal!” Godfiend roared furiously and formed a mudra.
The aura of a godfiend swept through the realm, sweeping everyone off their feet. It crushed the tribulations, allowing Godfiend to palm strike the assailant.
“Crack!” Countless bones shattered as Tribulation vomited blood and smashed against the ground.
“Senior!” The emperors shouted.
Tribulation couldn’t get up before being smashed with another seal, immobilizing him.
“I will not kill you out of consideration for your contributions to the realm. The same mercy won’t be shown the next time.” Godfiend uttered coldly.
“Monarch, please reconsider, relying on this bone will have disastrous consequences.” Tribulation still didn’t give up.
“You’re wasting breath.” Godfiend said before ordering the emperors: “Guard the peak.”
The emperors exchanged glances of helplessness.
“It’s fine that you’re suicidal, but don’t drag this world down with you, fool.” Someone interjected.
Godfiend looked over and saw that it was none other than Tribulation Daoist’s mortal companion. He assumed this was a newly recruited disciple.
“Junior, are you not afraid of death?” Godfiend said.
“I’m afraid you will be the one to die.” Li Qiye shook his head, leaving everyone speechless.
“Are all members of Myriad Tribulations this fearless?” Godfiend laughed.
“I am not a member of Myriad Tribulations, just a passerby.” Li Qiye said.
“I am magnanimous and won’t punish you, go.” Godfiend said.
“What a coincidence. In consideration of your magnanimity, I’ll spare your life.” Li Qiye said.
Godfiend was stunned to hear the arrogant mortal.
“Good, good.” He had more patience than some immortals and said: “Work hard and come back when you have that kind of strength. I admire those with courage. You may go now.”
“I won’t make it difficult for you, hand the bone over and stay put.” Li Qiye said.
“Now you are being unreasonable.” Godfiend’s expression darkened.
“No, this is my giving you a chance.” Li Qiye said nonchalantly.
