Chapter 7169: Bulwark Of Apocalypse
“Bam!” Li Qiye broke the seal around the pond.
“Raa!” The black dragon surged into the air before gliding down and coiling around him, rubbing its head. The two resembled family members who had not met in a long time, having many stories to tell.
Meanwhile, Xiao Yue stared at the black dragon in awe. This perfect form was worthy of further imitation. Alas, it couldn’t stay among them; this was out of her power.
“Go, you are free now, new life, infinite possibilities.” Li Qiye patted the dragon.
It bellowed quietly, not wanting to leave. Nonetheless, it rubbed against him one last time before breaking through the sky and disappearing.
Li Qiye sighed after it was gone and turned his focus on the nest.
“Young Noble, what will you do with this?” She asked.
“Why does it matter? It doesn’t belong to your race, it is here in the past, present, and future.” He said.
“Right.” She smiled wryly.
With that, he turned and left without touching the nest. She followed right behind him.

He noticed a golden light flashing in a different world and wanted to leave.
“Young Noble!” She shouted.
“Your race’s fate is in their own hands, not mine. Remember, your race is just another member of many more.” He warned before walking away.
She bowed in his direction before letting out a sigh. The burden on her shoulder was rather heavy. She had to face her race and all of Divine Firmament. Most importantly, how would they deal with the incoming calamity?
***
An unprecedented tension loomed over Heavenrealm because the calamity was closer than ever. Although there were signs, many thought it would still be millions of years later.
Hesitant immortals began hiding in their grottos, hoping for the best.
“A lonely wolf is doomed, we need to gather all of our powers and resist.” Some disagreed and had a different idea.
“Resist the high heaven? Don’t you remember how the celestial immortals die? And all those immortals and overlords.” One immortal said: “It’s throwing an egg at a rock, number matters not.”
“The first wave is the most difficult, subsequent waves are tolerable.” An ancient immortal had a strong understanding of the calamities.
Of course, none wanted to face the first wave - the most challenging. This would only benefit those who lacked courage.
“Desolate Frontier has crafted a Bulwark of Apocalypse.” News came from the frontier.
Listeners became excited upon hearing this.
“The strongest line of defense, as long as the first wave is stopped...” One immortal said.
“They are calling all immortals who are willing to fight.” Another message spread across Heavenrealm.
Alas, the majority didn’t answer the summoning, preferring to reap the benefits instead. They didn’t care about Desolate Frontier, only hoping that the coalition would stop the first wave for them.
“I must offer my assistance.” Nonetheless, a small number joined forces with Desolate Frontier.
“Death is assured, but if we weaken the waves, my world may survive.” An immortal had a simple reason for joining. His world had a better chance of survival with him manning the wall.
“I must do what I should.” They began saying goodbye to their world and loved ones.
A few immortals had no loved ones left. Nonetheless, their goal from the start was to fight the high heaven and to protect. Thus, they maintained their dao heart and continued this pursuit.
