Absolute Resonance

Chapter 1805: Recovering to the Supreme Ninth-grade

Chapter 1805: Recovering to the Supreme Ninth-grade

When his lifedeath resonance had returned to the supreme ninth-grade, Li Luo's was confounded by the sudden development. When reaching the Heavenly Emperor Stage, all of one's resonances would evolve to the supreme ninth-grade. However, those resonances would not continue to evolve endlessly—they would remain at that grade. Once the breakthrough was stabilized, this evolution would end. Thus, if the grade of one's resonance were to fall later, it wouldn't automatically be restored.

Normally speaking, few Heavenly Emperors would find themselves in situations where their resonances would drop in grade. This was because they had unimaginably deep foundations, and any actions that damaged or weakened their resonances were unlikely to cause any sort of lasting impact. Li Luo was an exception.

The tactic of completely detonating oneself followed by resurrection could simply be described as heaven-defying. Doing that repeatedly depleted his resonance far more than any method an ordinary Heavenly Emperor had at their disposal.

He had been bitterly racking his brains on how he could restore the grade of his lifedeath resonance. After all, there was a terrifyingly huge gulf between the lower ninth-grade and the supreme ninth-grade. It was precisely because he understood this point that the strand of mysterious aura he had received from Jiang Qing'e had completely taken him by surprise, leaving him in a daze.

His lifedeath resonance had returned to the supreme ninth-grade in just a few moments! How was that possible? Even the ultra rare supreme ninth-grade spirit liquids and purifying lights were incapable of replicating this feat.

Li Luo's eyes widened as he took in the exquisite and fair face that was right in front of him. The reddish tinge on Jiang Qing'e's cheeks deepened under his scrutiny, embarrassed.

After which, she leaned back slightly and softly asked, "Are you feeling better now?"

"What was that?" asked Li Luo.

"I'm not quite sure myself. That aura appeared when my quasi tenth-grade resonance started to awaken further. It seems to be incredibly ancient, originating from the very first dawning of light within the primordial chaos. I've termed it the Quasi Tenth-grade Light Origin."

"Quasi Tenth-grade Light Origin?" Li Luo clicked his tongue in amazement. He had never heard of something so miraculous. In fact, he was probably the very first person in history to have experienced and benefited from it.

"Will giving it to me affect you?" he asked with worry.

When he thought about it more deeply, he was certain it had affected Jiang Qing'e, but the question was to what extent. This was a treasure among treasures, and an incredibly rare one. Even Divine Fruit Heavenly Emperors would have a hard time finding something of the same caliber.

However, to Jiang Qing'e, all consequences were insignificant when it came to ensuring Li Luo's safety. His resurrection art relied on the lifedeath resonance, and the decisive battle was still ongoing. She was concerned that if the situation deteriorated, he would be unable to resurrect himself in a pinch. With all that in mind, recovering the grade of the lifedeath resonance was of utmost importance. This was how she dealt with things. She naturally wouldn't voice any of her worries, so she merely smiled and shook her head.

Even though she was acting like it wasn't a big deal, Li Luo had a deep understanding of her personality, so he knew that she wasn't being honest. Despite that, he was touched by how far she was willing to go for him.

"Sister Qing'e, you've always gone out of your way to help me. Isn't it time to let me repay you a little? Otherwise, my heart will not be at ease," he said.

With these words, he stretched his hand out and hooked it around her slender waist. He tugged lightly, pulling her lithe figure into his embrace. Then he lowered his head and kissed her cherry-red lips. It was filled with passionate gratitude as he desired to eat her up. He was a little distracted by the aura earlier, and he would now focus all of his energy on making it up to her.

Jiang Qing'e couldn't help but clench her fist, pounding it against his chest in protest. This was both funny and infuriating. Was this how he repaid a favor? Why did it feel like this shameless fellow was taking advantage of her yet again? That said, the fist that was lightly striking his chest started to relax. In the end, she took the initiative to hook her arms around his neck, her fair neck slightly raised, letting Li Luo do as he wished.

Her glowing, golden eyes were filled with a gentle and moist light. She did not reject his advances—she fully sank into him and bravely responded in her own way. Who knew how this war would end? Perhaps this would be her final warm embrace with him. As a result, she threw all caution to the wind.

Light bloomed as the couple embraced one another between the heavens and the earth, allowing their emotions to flow like a running spring. A while later, Li Luo finally let go and pulled himself away with a hint of dissatisfaction.

"Although I haven't fully paid you back, the war takes priority. Once it concludes, I'll definitely repay you in full."

This fellow was indeed brazen and shameless. Fortunately, Jiang Qing'e was immune to his sweet talk. She formed a single-handed seal, fully activating the Immemorial World Divine Devil Trapping Formation on the Endless Gale Divine Continent. The grand formation instantly hummed with life, shooting vast amounts of divine light into the air. Two of the main nodes had been successfully activated.

"Let's go. We have to help our parents, Mengmeng, and Senior Wang. If those three divine continents have their formation cores activated, the Immemorial World Divine Devil Trapping Formation will begin to start repairing the crack in the Realm Wall," said Li Luo.

Jiang Qing'e nodded. "Mhm, let's split up."

He nodded as well. Those three divine continents no longer had Divine Fruit Grand Devil Kings, and they were strong enough to deal with the remaining enemies. The two then split up and got to work. Li Luo would first head to Thunderflame Divine Continent while Jiang Qing'e would go to Azuresea Divine Continent.

Upon their arrival, they took control of the Immemorial World Divine Devil Trapping Formation and began to activate the cores. The Grand Devil Kings in those continents were furious and anxious. Some even left their original battlefields in an attempt to intercept the two of them.

However, ordinary Grand Devil Kings weren't a threat to them, so they were easy to deal with. Although they couldn't directly seal them away, they were more than capable of activating the formation cores while holding them back.

Not long after, the formations on the Thunderflame Divine Continent and the Azuresea Divine Continent were activated, and two more pillars of light shot into the sky.

The duo then met up on Whitespirit Divine Continent, quickly activating the fifth formation core. With this, half of the cores of the Immemorial World Divine Devil Trapping Formation had been activated and the formation was finally unleashed.

Bang!

At the end of the horizon, the grand formation released vast amounts of light. It was now capable of dealing with the Acheronian Sun's power, forcing it back. The endless divine light then flooded towards the crack on the Realm Wall.

When the living creatures of the divine continents saw this, they whooped in joy. If the formation fully repaired the gap, the Origin Reversion War would truly come to an end.

Central Core Divine Continent

Heavenly Emperor Jiang was still sitting cross-legged atop the Golden Primordial Tree. Countless branches had penetrated his skin as he gradually fused with it. By doing this, he had completely neutralized Sightless Underworld's offensive assault and confined the strongest Grand Devil King of the Shadow World to this location.

When the Immemorial World Divine Devil Trapping Formation began to fight back against the influence of the Acheronian Sun, a relieved smile appeared on his usually calm face.

"Heavenly Emperor Luo, Your Excellency the Radiant Goddess, thank you," he said,

He was looking directly at them on the Whitespirit Divine Continent, nodding in acknowledgement of their efforts. He then turned his attention back towards Sightless Underworld. The latter was expressionless, but the four Heavenly Emperor heads hanging around its neck began to screech in utter torment, revealing the fury that hid within its heart. Clearly, this result had largely gone awry from its expectations.

"Sightless Underworld, the advantage now lies with the divine continents. I think you should return to the Shadow World with all of the other Grand Devil Kings. The Origin Reversion War will end here," said Heavenly Emperor Jiang indifferently.

Sightless Underworld's eyes smoldered with devilish flames as it observed Heavenly Emperor Jiang. "It might be too soon to say that. Have you forgotten about the Origin Reversion Institute?"

These words immediately caused Heavenly Emperor Jiang's eyes to narrow. He naturally never forgot that the Origin Reversion Institute was still hiding away like a cancer. However, his forces were already completely tied up, and they could not spend the time to unearth the location of that awful group. With the reminder, a sense of unease arose within him. Did the Origin Reversion Institute truly not care about the survival of the divine continents?

It was at this precise moment that the worldly natural energy on the divine continents surged. A series of frenzied energy tsunamis swept across every corner of the world, making it feel as though the sky was collapsing and the stars were falling. The worldly natural energy started letting out agonized roars as a result.

Heavenly Emperor Jiang's expression changed as he stretched his hand out. Six wooden puppets appeared before him, each with lifelike features and runes engraved upon them. Black blood was flowing from the orifices of each puppet, radiating an indescribably terrifying power. The blood turned into black flames that incinerated the puppets violently. In just a few short breaths of time, the puppets were reduced to dust.

Heavenly Emperor Jiang's expression sank and his face turned pale. Anger and sorrow could be seen in his eyes, and his grief-stricken voice echoed throughout the divine continents.

"Everyone, Heavenly Emperor Tang, Heavenly Emperor Sheng, and Heavenly Emperor Lu... have perished!"
