Chapter 1813: Seizing the Seed

The expressions of the Heavenly Emperors changed. They had never even imagined that the Dark Sect Master would be capable of not only controlling the Shadow World's Grand Devil Kings, but also overriding their will and causing them to self-detonate.

The vast amounts of Corrupted Authority smelled utterly foul and poured out like floodwater, polluting everything in its path and giving off the aura of doom. As the stench-filled flood poured across the land, it clashed with the destructive torrent caused by Li Luo's detonated Absolute Resonance Halo.

The cataclysmic collision caused all of the divine continents to shake. The clash between such energies ended up ripping a large hole within the black and white region. The terrifying undulations persisted for a while before finally extinguishing.

Li Luo had vanished with the detonation of his Absolute Resonance Halo. Stockpiling large amounts of Heavenly Emperor Authorities for a grand explosion had resulted in the effect he desired.

Jiang Qing'e's Golden Light Lotus, which was greatly struggling against the Extinction Shadow Halo's energy, managed to strike back, finding an opportunity to infuse its light energy into it. This caused the Extinction Shadow Halo to be stained with specks of light. Seeing this caused the morale of the Heavenly Emperors to rise, albeit only slightly.

"It's truly ridiculous to see ants uniting as one," said the Dark Sect Master as she shook her head, a faint smile hanging on her face.

The Dark Sect Master stretched out her hand, tearing apart the Realm Wall that separated the divine continents and the Shadow World. After which, countless black bridges emerged from the Shadow World, connecting to the Acheronian Sea of Corruption in the sky.

The Heavenly Emperors were shocked to see vast hordes of Others stumbling across the bridges like zombies, then they jumped into the Acheronian Sea of Corruption. As the endless stream of Others entered the sea, its black coloration turned even darker, gloomier, and stranger. In the end, the Dark Sect Master opened her mouth and lightly inhaled. The entire boundless sea was sucked into her mouth just like that.

This left the scalps of the Heavenly Emperors numb. That was the Acheronian Sea of Corruption, the source of the Others! It had been swallowed just like that.

After which, the Acheronian Sun on the Dark Sect Master's forehead turned even darker, and the blood moon began to release an even brighter scarlet radiance. All of the living creatures could sense the energy undulations coming from the Dark Sect Master begin to rise.

The Dark Sect Master's Acheronian Sun and Blood Moon marks began to let out sounds akin to chains clanking against each other. After which, two chains, one black and one red, shot out of them. The worldly natural energy in their path scattered, as though encountering the most fearsome thing it had ever seen.

Even experts at the level of Heavenly Emperor Jiang could feel a sense of inescapable terror when faced with the chains. He knew that if his Divine Fruit were wrapped by the chains, they would be sealed and devoured without a trace. To him, they didn't feel like mere chains. No, these were akin to serpents capable of swallowing up entire worlds.

The Dark Sect Master's expression remained indifferent as she flicked her finger. The black and red chains tunneled through layers of the void, directly piercing through Jiang Qing'e's Golden Light Lotus.

Jiang Qing'e's expression changed, and the Heart of Divinity in her chest began to burn with even greater intensity. Tenth-grade light resonant power surged, further bolstering the lotus. Unfortunately, the chains contained an indescribably frightening power that could suppress and devour her light resonant power.

As a result, the Golden Light Lotus began to dim at a frightening pace, and thousands of petal layers began to wither. In the end, the lotus shattered before everyone's horrified eyes.

Jiang Qing'e retreated miserably in a beam of golden light.

After which, the void around her collapsed, and the chains began to pursue her. The moment they came into contact with her, the light resonant power surrounding her body was instantly dissolved. Then the chains wrapped themselves around her, binding her like constricting snakes.

The chains were riddled with pitch black spikes that pierced into her skin, greedily sucking up her light energy. The light which had previously illuminated the world began to recede at a startling pace.

Seeing that Jiang Qing'e was trapped, the Dark Sect Master's eyes turned to a particular spot on the divine continents. That was the location where Li Luo had resurrected.

"Don't you think it is time to return the Absolute Resonance Seed to me?" she softly asked. Then she strode forward and space around her collapsed as she approached him.

"Stop her! She wants to seize the Absolute Resonance Seed!" Heavenly Emperor Jiang roared.

He was the first to take action. His arm wriggled, turning into a wooden spear that could cover the skies. The spear was yellowish-gold and seemed capable of piercing through everything.

The Dark Sect Master, on the other hand, casually waved her hand, lightly tapping the golden spear that Heavenly Emperor Jiang had summoned with all his effort.

Weng!

The light tap instantly broke the spear apart, smashing it into innumerable tiny fragments. Heavenly Emperor Jiang's limb had been severed, and fresh blood drenched the earth below like a storm. Even so, he continued to fight valiantly with bloodshot eyes, launching a full-scale assault to stop her. He knew that the moment the Dark Sect Master obtained the Absolute Resonance Seed, the divine continents would undoubtedly be left in dire straits.

The other Heavenly Emperors roared with deafening force as they also launched a final offensive with all their might. The different powers of Authority formed all sorts of wondrous phenomena, blasting towards the Dark Sect Master.

Despite being faced with the frenzied onslaught of multiple high-level foes, the Dark Sect Master continued casually walking forward. The extinction power flowing around her body was more than capable of negating all of the incoming attacks, erasing them from existence upon contact.

On the other hand, it would be extremely simple for her to grievously wound the Heavenly Emperors in retaliation, filling the world with a downpour of their blood. There was nothing anyone could do to obstruct her as she swiftly approached Li Luo.

Li Luo watched the Heavenly Emperors put their lives on the line, attempting to stop the Dark Sect Master. His eyes turned even more bloodshot, filled with a look of madness. Now that the situation had reached such desperate straits, was there any point in trying to escape?

The resonant palaces within his body started to shake violently and his four Authorities began to glow even more brightly. Worldly natural energy poured into him without end. Light blossomed between his eyebrows, revealing a newly formed mark. Upon closer inspection, his four Authorities were clashing and fusing inside. This was the creation of a Divine Fruit!

During these desperate times, Li Luo had thrown all caution to the wind. He had roused his Authorities and forced them to form a Divine Fruit. Even so, he understood that with the Dark Sect Master's terrifying power, a Divine Fruit was nowhere near enough to oppose her. Therefore, the moment the Divine Fruit took form, he began to ignite it without hesitation.

Eyes filled with madness, Li Luo stared at the void before him, waiting. The air rippled briefly when the Dark Sect Master strode out.

The Divine Fruit exploded violently, sending a wave of annihilative power towards her.

"Oh? You managed to form a Divine Fruit during this desperate time? As expected of someone with great perseverance and talent. It is no surprise you managed to restore the Absolute Resonance Seed to its peak state," said the Dark Sect Master, sighing.

She stretched her slender, pale arm out, reaching through the wave of destruction caused by the detonation of the Divine Fruit without harm. Before Li Luo's body collapsed, her hand pierced right into his chest.

His expression froze as he could sense the hand penetrating through his flesh and blood. At the same time, he felt as though an object was being forcefully wrenched from the depths of his body. A moment later, all of his resonant palaces began to collapse one after another. The resonances that he had bitterly nurtured with immense amounts of effort let out squeaks and began to dim.

In the end, when the Dark Sect Master finally removed her bloodstained hand from his chest, his aura began to decline rapidly. Li Luo's gaze was focused on an object in her hand—a seed that didn't seem special in any way. However, it had a deeply familiar aura.

It was the Absolute Resonance Seed.

With the Absolute Resonance Seed in hand, the Dark Sect Master beamed with satisfaction. She then attentively said to him, "Thank you. Your mission has been completed. You can now... die for me."

She indifferently swatted downwards with her hand. The void collapsed, and everything beneath Li Luo's head was crushed into fine dust, leaving not even a single trace of flesh or blood behind. Only his head remained floating in the sky.

The Dark Sect Master was visibly a little taken aback by this, then she glanced briefly at her own palm. That strike was meant to completely erase him from existence.
