Chapter 3359: TransportationEditor: Nyoi-Bo Studio
Late at night.
Not far from Thunder Basin lay Danxi City.
The Holy Spirit Temple.
Danxi City was a medium-sized city under the rule of the Eastern Kingdom, and there were three Holy Spirit Temples within the city.
Two of them were controlled by the church, mainly used for guarding Thunder Basin.
The remaining one was jointly managed by the church and the City Lord, open for public use.
"Is everyone here?"
Damon looked at the twenty-some people who had entered the temple with Adam.
These faces were unfamiliar, but without exception, all of them were well-built, their movements disciplined and uniform. Clearly, they were well-trained elite soldiers.
He did not know what Adam intended to do. Adam had merely borrowed the Holy Spirit Temple under the name of the Alchemy Society, using alchemy research as an excuse to reserve it for two days.
"Yes, everyone’s here." Adam nodded lightly and asked, "Are the things ready?"
"They’re all on the seventh floor—twelve crates in total. You wanted them too urgently; this is all I could get for now." Damon took a deep breath and nodded. "And what about the thing I asked for?"
Adam flipped his wrist and handed him a Tier 3 Fire Elemental magic scroll.
Damon took the scroll and examined it carefully, immediately overjoyed.
"Good! Excellent!"
A Tier 3 elemental magic scroll already possessed considerable power—used suddenly at close range, even a high-tier oracle could easily take a serious hit.
And the scroll Adam had given him had very clear rune structures, not even encrypted.
With some time, it wouldn’t be hard to replicate it.
"Let’s go."
"Follow me."
Adam led the twenty-some soldiers, following Damon into the seventh floor of the temple.
"Just like you said, I’ve already reserved the entire temple. The temple staff have been driven out, and my men are guarding the outside."
As Damon pushed open the door to the teleportation hall on the seventh floor, he continued, "But there’s one problem. Since everyone has been cleared out, there’s no one left to help activate the spiritual teleportation array."
"It’s fine."
Adam waved his hand lightly, then slowly stepped into the hall. He scanned the surroundings before stopping in front of the teleportation array.
"Fang Heng, brother?"
Zane saw Fang Heng standing before the array, not making any move, staring at it with a thoughtful look, and asked, "What’s wrong? Something not right?"
"Hmm. I made a discovery."
Fang Heng gazed intently at the spiritual teleportation array and explained, "The spiritual world and the real world are connected through one-to-one anchor points. I’d always wondered how they established this link. After what happened at Thunder Basin, I’ve mostly figured it out."
"Oh? How so?"
"It’s through spiritual runestones. The church set up arrays in both the spiritual and real worlds, placing two corresponding runestones at the centers."
"The runestones create an accurate, anchored passage that links both sides precisely."
Zane blinked in confusion, "Uh... so?"
"So theoretically, by switching the spiritual runestone, we could teleport to another teleportation point in the spiritual world that corresponds to it."
"Huh?"
Fang Heng shrugged and said, "Never mind, it’s nothing important for now."
As he spoke, Fang Heng infused his mental strength into the array.
The teleportation array began to operate slowly.
This move made Damon’s heart skip a beat again.
Was there such a method?
He hadn’t seen Adam make any gestures, yet the teleportation array—which usually required over ten oracles working together—was running just like that?
Adam said, "Damon, stay here. Have your men guard the temple’s exterior carefully. Don’t let any unrelated personnel approach."
"Alright."
Damon became tense.
He could sense that Adam was doing something—and that it was something hidden from the church.
But things had already gone this far.
He could only go all the way now!
Adam stepped into the teleportation passage with more than twenty soldiers from the Holy Eagle City’s City Lord’s Mansion.
They entered the spiritual world.
Fang Heng immediately expanded his perception.
Soon, he sensed the vampire imprint he had left on one of the church’s Oracles.
"Adam, seven o’clock direction—move!"
"Yes!"
Adam quickly flew toward the position of the oracle.
After over an hour of high-speed pursuit, Fang Heng found the church’s oracle. Using the oracle as a reference point, he then located the area in the spiritual world corresponding to Thunder Basin’s explosion zone.
Using that as another reference, he soon discovered the hidden spiritual crystal ore and spiritual runestones buried beforehand in the spiritual world.
Then came transportation.
Fang Heng used his mental strength to form a net, wrapping all the ore within it, and began returning the same way.
...
In the real world, inside the Holy Spirit Temple.
After waiting for several hours, Damon was growing impatient.
It was late at night, and he still had no idea what Adam was secretly doing in the spiritual world.
And there was still the trouble at Thunder Basin.
The mining team that had gone into Thunder Basin earlier still hadn’t been released by the church.
He could only hope they knew better than to tell the church about the hidden personnel entering Thunder Basin...
Hmm?
Suddenly, Damon’s heart gave a jolt amid his restless thoughts.
The teleportation passage before him glowed faintly.
Looking up, he saw the eyes of the soldiers standing at the center of the array regain their focus.
Unlike before, each of them now carried a bulging sack on their back.
Damon’s eyes locked on them.
Sacks?!
They had brought something out from the spiritual world!
What was inside?
There were only a few types of items that could cross between the spiritual world and the real world.
Could it be...
Damon already had a guess, and his heart began pounding rapidly.
Spiritual crystal raw ore!
The soldiers all returned from the spiritual world one by one, and finally, Adam’s spirit returned to his body as well.
He too carried a sack on his back. He walked up to Damon and asked, "Is the alchemy area ready?"
"Yes, it’s ready."
Damon took a deep breath, forcing down his suspicion, and nodded. "It’s on the second basement floor. Follow me."
Soon, Damon led Adam and his group into the second basement hall of the temple.
The underground hall was spacious. Normally, it was used by the church for prayer, but that afternoon it had already been cleared out completely.
Fang Heng surveyed the surroundings, nodded in satisfaction, then raised his right hand. His right eye—the God’s Eye—spun rapidly.
Damon’s pupils widened again.
Lines of alchemy runes began appearing simultaneously across the floor and ceiling!
A super-sized magic array!
Such a fast condensation speed!
Dense rune lines quickly appeared, forming a complete structure in less than a minute.
"Buzz..."
A streak of light flashed across the array’s surface.
Damon stared in astonishment, his jaw almost dropping.
A super-sized magic array completed in under a minute?
He could swear that not a single person in the entire Alchemy Society could do such a thing!
And Adam seemed to treat it as if it were nothing remarkable at all.
