Journey of the Fate Destroying Emperor

Chapter 1825: All Hail the Great ******

Chapter 1825: All Hail the Great ******

Now that he was out of sight, Wang Wei’s next goal was to protect himself. The last thing he wanted was for his own revenge plan to backfire and hurt himself. So, he used the second item he forced from the treasury on himself. During the creation of the Soul Ancestor Path, Wang Wei developed a few soul defensive techniques, and, more importantly, Maitreye had plenty of Soul Saint Art. Wang Wei combined many of them into a single art capable of utilizing the second-step purple flower.

Upon completion, a pagoda with 33 layers appeared in his Sea of Consciousness, protecting and stabilizing his soul and everything else included. Although this technique was not perfect by Wang Wei’s strict standard, it will do for now. Time was running out, and he could not act as a perfectionist.

The Fate Domination Emperor flickered his wrist, and one of the 34 captured Saints materialized in front of him. With a few gestures, he reinforced the mind control on the Saint before sending him to start the plan. Holding a space ring with 33 other prisoners, the chosen Saint left the mansion after Wang Wei blessed him with the power of the Heaven Deception Array.

The chosen Saint left the Holy Son’s mansion for a hidden dimension. His purpose was one: to conduct a ritual. Wang Wei had already invented the ritual and handed over the materials — including the 33 sacrifices. Once everything was done and the Saint could activate it, Wang Wei conducted the last step.

"Duchess, can you hear me?"

"Hmm? Commander Wang?" the Erudite Duchess — who was battling the War Chaos Demon God — asked. "Are you tired of counting your wealth?"

"Counting wealth? What are you talking about? I’ve just barely escaped with my life," Wang Wei replied, his voice filled with so much sincerity that people would think he was one of those loyal ministers who would not hesitate to kill themselves if their ruler asked for it.

The Duchess suddenly sighed, "We were all pawns in this grand scheme. Since you survived and escaped, you deserve your share of the wealth. Just don’t go too far."

"...Can you swallow this breath?"

"What else can I do?" the Erudite Duchess replied. "That’s how it is dealing with Grand Dao."

"Maybe you can, but I won’t."

"What are you planning?" the Duchess instinctively asked. She reacted so swiftly that she was distracted in battle. Normally, her opponent should have taken advantage of this opportunity, but the War Chaos Demon God was just happy for that brief period of reprieve.

"Don’t worry about it, but I need your help for a few things."

"My intuition is pretty sharp, and I just sense you’re about to do something dangerous enough that could cost me my life. So, tell me your plan?"

"No," Wang Wei replied. "Based on what I know about you, you’ll definitely stop me. So, either help and have a chance of survival, or let’s part ways."

"You!" The Duchess wanted to rage out. "Why are you acting so emotionally? I know you’re angered, but this is not the way."

"This is not anger, but rational wrath," Wang Wei replied. "Grand Dao has gone too far. If I don’t give her a deep lesson, I won’t survive the next time."

"Or, she’s just come back with even more force."

"That’s fine too. My plan should buy me enough time to increase my strength."

The Duchess was silent. She understood Grand Dao’s point of view. As long as Wang Wei sanctifies, he’ll discover the future in which he becomes a Grand Dao Saint. And with his intelligence, he’ll be able to control all timeline derivation, all anomalies, and all obstacles to ensure that his future is the one that comes true among all the infinite futures of the Primordial Timeline. But, how can the Grand Dao allow this?

The future needs to remain with infinite possibilities, meaning even the Grand Dao does not want a fixed future. Meanwhile, Wang Wei will only want one future: the one in which he succeeds. This is the inherent contradiction between all Saints and the Grand Dao. Everybody wants the future in which they reach a higher level to come true, which usually means disrupting Grand Dao’s plans.

"Fine. You win. What do you want from me?" The Erudite Duchess asked. In the future, maybe one of Wang Wei’s actions to ensure his future will impact and ruin the duchess’s future, but for now, they are on the same side. Grand Dao was too ruthless this time, using dozens of Tribunal Lords as pawns. How can she easily swallow such an insult?

"Great. First, I need you to secretly inject an aura on the Fate Chaos Demon God."

"Him?" The duchess’s divine sense checked on Mingyunjun, who was surrounded by two powerful Tribunal Lords from the Primordial Chaos Holy Land. "He’s being suppressed and focused on his battle, so it shouldn’t be an issue."

"Good," Wang Wei nodded. He had a feeling that bastard Mingyunjun was instrumental to this plan, and even if he wasn’t, he deserves to die just because he cultivated Fate Dao.

"The second thing I need you to do is to do your best to take Maitreya and me out of the Chaos Origin Realm."

"What do you mean by that?"

"Things might get out of hand, and this world, no, maybe the entire timeline might not survive. I need you to get Maitreya and me out if things reach such a point."

"What on Heaven and Earth are you planning?" The Erudite Duchess asked; the feeling of impending doom intensified.

"I need an oath that you’ll do your best to escape with us, and in return, I’ll provide you with information of equal value."

The Erudite Duchess was quiet. Last time, the brief historical information Wang Wei gave her was enough to increase her strength by a few percent. At her level, which can be described as the Peak of the Second Step, even a 0.1% improvement is increasingly rare.

"Fine," the duchess agreed. Without hesitation, she made the oath and bound it to her Time Nexus. Wang Wei sensed the entire thing and nodded.

"Last thing, warn the other Tribunal Lords on our side," Wang Wei said. "Tell them to use all their best defensive spirit abilities. They should also prepare to run out of this timeline at any moment."

"No problem," the Erudite Duchess nodded. A few seconds later, a unique aura similar to Wang Wei appeared in her Sea of Consciousness.

"Even after using the causal link to trace his location, I still couldn’t find his whereabouts," the Duchess thought. Now that she couldn’t stop Wang Wei, the only thing left to do was to go with the flow. The duchess controlled her battle with the War Chaos Demon God, ensuring they came close to Mingyunjun before secretly injecting the aura into him.

Finally, she warned the others of the upcoming danger. Of course, they had many questions, but the Duchess only told him what she knew. And their reaction was the same as hers. Now that they knew Wang Wei was planning something, a sense of doom hung over their heads. The Karma Root Ancestor desperately wanted to use all her strength to find him and stop all of this, but she needed to focus to do that. Knowing her actions might alert the Infinite Divine Court and the Primordial Chaos Holy Land and ruin their advantage of escaping, she only sighed to herself.

Holy Son Mansion:

Wang Wei opened his eyes and smiled, "The stage is prepared. Grand Dao, Highest Sovereign, and all the other Third-Step Powerhouses — don’t disappoint me." Without hesitation, he ordered the chosen Saint to start the ritual.

In a hidden dimension, a Saint, madness and reverence in his eyes, suddenly became excited. After receiving the order, the Saint glanced at the altar and the magic circle on the floor with 33 Saints on the ground. Exhaling deeply, the Saint started an incantation:

"This humble servant calls upon thee, Old Great One, Son of Rug, the Sleeper of R’lyeh, the High Priest of the Great Ones, the Great Dreamer — Cthulhu. I offer my life and these humble sacrifices so that you can walk between Heaven and Earth again."

Names have powers. Even a Great Emperor can sense causality when someone utters their title in proximity. So, what about a being such as the Old Great One? What will happen if such an entity is not only summoned, but also offers a sacrifice of 33 Primordial Chaos Saints? The answer will soon be known to all the beings in the Infinite Trichiliocosm.

Bang!

As soon as the chosen Saint finished the ceremony, his body crumbled into a mist of blood, but the creepy part was that a smile remained on his face. The 33 Saints — who were nourished by the concept of 33 Heavens to become a more delicious meal for Cthulhu — also turned into blood mists. Everybody then combined into a blood-colored beam that rushed into the sky.

Primordial Timeline, the Abnormality Forbidden Zone:

As soon as Wang Wei’s ritual ended, all the powerful beings in the world sensed a change in that forbidden zone. Everybody was frightened. Although there are many forbidden zones, for the powerful, none can compare to this one. And that’s because a taboo exists in that place. But now, this taboo was making a move.
